Do you feel you have some "ambitious" influences in your Chart which just don't let you relax? When do you know to throw in the towel and take five, and what really works for you?

I've often been told that I am a total type A personality. I push, push, push and always want to do it the best. Not that I am b****y about it, just very much the leader in most situations. Very head strong and determined. But I usually know that I have reached my limit and need to back off when I go into hyperdrive and can no longer sleep. It usually is self-imposed pressure to not lose or to not seem like a failure. My smoking usually increases and I seem to be running like a mad woman. When this happens, I usually have to disconnect for awhile. Take a day off, lay in the sun, sleep in really late, give myself a facial, go play with my friends' children, not look or talk about anything that has to do with work. I have to mentally bring myself back down to earth. It was tough, but I learned how to do this for myself after awhile. I also learned to see the warning signs and tip myself off to them.

Yep absolutely. I have aries rising, Cap MC, Aqu/10th h sun/merc square ura, mars trine pluto and I never give in and am very stubborn. I waited since 2001 for the job of my dreams which I start next week, I was just unemployed for two years but I know what I want and went for it; I cried and yelled, felt I'd never get there but I feel I have. I also have the unfortunate 'hero complex' - sun opp saturn

I am very type A but at the same time, I can be very lazy at times - libra moon. There's no real way of knowing, its just that life kind of imposes breaks on me. If it doesn't, I don't think I would stop.

Sun conjunct Mars conjunct Mercury conjunct Midheaven conjunct Pallas Athena, and all opposite Jupiter (can we say an ambitious to the extreme?) It can be quite depressing when Im not getting much done or reaching any goals. I think Im going through a bout of depression right now...but coming out of it slowly...ive had Saturn conjunct my sun for a while too.

I never throw in the towel...I find something else like another avenue to improve myself and help me reach my goals. I will keep changing my strategy and try again and again and again and....until I get it right.

Tenth house stellium here(Mars,Pluto,Jupiter and Uranus) in Virgo/Libra, which I think contributes.

I don't know about ambition...but certainly drive....
Aries Moon
Mars, Neptune,MC in Scorpio Conjunct.
squaring Jupiter and in Sextile with pluto/Uranus....
Cappy rising... boatload of Virgo...

I am the problem solver and the "go to" gal....

For me, it is all relative to how badly I want something...

However, my loaded 7th house, colors my world Libra and I can slip into something lazy pretty easily..

Yes

When do you know to throw in the towel and take five, and what really works for you?

A lot of times, it is "when" I reach a certain point or accomplished something that I "take five." Mostly to listen to music, or do things I like that don't tax my energy reserves.

Take 5...

My idea of taking five is taking up some other meaningful and learning adventures through life...

I'll either come back to that goal I originally had in mind...

Or I'll find some thing better to do that I discovered through those adventures.
