I have read in a couple of books that jupiter in the 4th house promises the second half of your life to be much better than the first half. I have jupiter in the 4th house squaring venus in the 7th and uranus in the 1st. Will this cancel out the 4th house jupiter promise???????

"Will this cancel out the 4th house jupiter promise???????"

no, Jupiter in the 4th house is exalted.
This is a great placement for Jupiter.
Among other things the 4th house represents conditions at the end of your life.
You can't get better than Jupiter

I have Jupiter conjunct IC in the 4th house using Placidus.

I'm looking forward to an early retirement

I dont think Venus square Jupiter is bad...any aspect between those two I would imagine would be a good thing. And with Uranus square your way has to be the only way...with some challenges along the way.

My fourth house is at 7 01 sag and my jupiter is 6 23 sag. I know conjunctions on the cusp they say the effects are usually felt in both houses but would this be the same? If so... that could be a nice change of events for me.

Oh no, since I have Pluto in 4th house, Pluto meaning abrupt change, intensity and 4th house rules the end of life, what does that mean(seems like scary combo)? Especially since my Pluto squares my Ascendant and also squares my Mars in 1st house.

I have Saturn conjunct my IC in Leo. Would that mean some kind of slow painful death? I have 8th house cusp in Capricorn, could it be slow painful deteriorating death at old age then?

Mercury conjunct Neptune: Can I take a message?

Saturn on the Ic may suggest increasing responsibility in your later years.

It could be that you become more purpose driven and disciplined.Other people depend on you a lot more i.e you raise other people's children or grand kids(this especially when Leo is on the Ic)

With Leo on the Ic, becoming some kind of mentor, advisor or guidance (Sat) for young redeveloping minds is likely(Leo)

8th is personal power. The power you have over others and others have over you. So Cap on the 8th house cusp is the power to provide tangible security, being a revered authority figure/being someone whose personal power resides in being goal oriented and disciplined.

You are good at understanding the fundamentals, you keep a cool head under pressure, your personal power comes in being able to be consistent and persistent in doing things.

You are not easily disheartened, you do things in a thorough and labour intensive way, you are able to be effective in the administrative detailing of things-as you don't miss anything.

Are we talking about Jupiter in the 4th house natal or transit? Mine is entering the 4th house soon, as well as Saturn.
