I have my Jupiter in virgo in 6th house..only major planet in earth!
what would that mean? will I actually over compensate by being earthy?
And, will jupiter energies get restricted because it is in virgo and in 6th house?
(Well, 6th cusp is a virgo too!)

I have a Saturn/Jupiter Conjunction in Capricorn. Talk about restriction! Thankfully, they are in the 9th House of Expansion.

Astrostudent--

Jupiter "figures things out"--like a calculator or CPU. In Virgo this is figuring out by doing--hands-on problem solving. Very practical truths. This Jupiter could "ground" your whole chart in practicality.

Astrojunkie--
There is a secret to Capricorn. It represents the outer limits of the CURRENT definition of humanity.

Jupiter always pushes Saturn to extend our limits.

YOur task here is to help push the generally accepted human limits as set by the current definition--literally to become "more than man." This placement is designed to expand the defiition of homo-sapiens to homo-Aquarius, by adding the right-brain intuitive functions to the definition for humanity. See?

Relax a bit. Jupiter-Saturn always implies step-by-step progress--Up a step, pause, the up another step

Got jupiter in the 6th, it's well aspected except for one aspect. Here are some ideas about jupiter in the 6th:

I go to extremes with health, I tend to over-work my body, forget it has limitations. Or I eat a lot...

I'm very much into nutrition and body-mind stuff, and little by little I'm becoming more earthy in 6th house matters. I'm expanding (jupiter) in these matters.

I normally encounter joyful people at work, and I'm normally the one cheering up others.

I feel good about myself (jupiter= self-belief, and what we do that makes us be hopeful) when being of service to others, and I also preach a lot at work (a very Sag thing).

Quite a philosopher at work

Up till recently, I haven't had serious problems to find a job.

Look at the sign where Jupiter is to understand the tones of such "expansion" force in the 6th house things.

Look at the house where Sag and Pisces (jupiter is the ancient ruler) are, so you'll understand the connections.

For example, 7th house in sag and jupiter in 6th and well-aspected, some ideas are: you could meet ove partner at work, you could find business associates through daily job routines, you put hope into relationships by consciously expanding daily routines,

They say you like little animals with jupiter there...not in my case

These are simple suggestions. I recommend Stephen Arroyo's book on Jupiter, I've read it twice already, it's quite good.

Sites about jupiter in the houses...
http://www.bobmarksastrologer.com/sixthhouse.htm
http://www.manic-raven.com/astrology/Jupiter_Houses.htm

About house rulerships,
http://www.skyviewzone.com/astrology/houserulerships.htm

and Rex Bills book on rulerships.

About Jupiter in Virgo...

It's about self-growth, lots of interest in that. Being in the virgo house, and in virgo, and again, being your only planet in earth, I think it's a great way of learning to expand "efficiently" (in virgo style) your daily choices, the way you work...Means that you are very much into being of service too, and you'll be overly critical with your daily discipline.

Instead of thinking of the earthyness restricting jupiter's bouncy nature, think of it as perfecting your expansion and as says, being more grounded, specially in your daily choices.

Don't forget that we form ourselves through our daily choices and lifestyles...thought you'll be serious most of the times, you'll get things done in the 6th house theme. Lots of focus on your plate, it's a good thing!

Think of the links with your gemini and your pisces houses? With the 12th house, potential to grow steadily yet realistically your spirituality? It's just a guess...and depends also on the aspects, which will show how easy or not, these things come to you...

Great info Scarlet, I have Jupiter in the Sixth House also - and it's well aspceted. What I got from your post was to look at the Pisces and Sagittarius House Placements and what I saw is so true!

Pisces rules my Fourth House and I gotta admit, I literally do all the work around the house. It doesn't help that I live with six other people who don't pick up after themselves either. I started "cleaning" ever since I was six or seven. And I'm not talking about putting trinkets away cleaning, I mean "hands on" cleaning, stuff nobody wants to do. I'm eighteen now, and I'm still stuck with job, lol.

Also Sagittarius rules my First House and I do tend to indulge in food. But I think I could work it off easily.

One question Scarlet, does the Jupiter in the 6th really hold true to not having problems finding a job as well as a nice working atmosphere? It's funny, cause I'v never worked yet!

And, thats not all, saturn is the same 6th house as Jupiter is..besides Sun and Pluto!

God has created me to be of 'service',I guess!

AJ,
I think I can talk others' ears off..if thts what u meant..But I don't feel I express myself as well as I should..there's a subtle difference..I have screwed up a few realtionships because of that.
And, my NN leo(in 5th) is telling me to express myself fully and creatively as well, I believe?!

Ling,

Jupiter (expansion) conjunct (energy needs to be combined with) Saturn (duty, also contraction, structure) could indicate a person who feels that their abilities to "open up" are restricted, that their abilities to "structure" are too scattered, or both things at once! The challenge is to open up to have some form of structure to the expansion...so a person doesn't open up to TOO many things but is also careful not to shut out things. Since both Jupiter and Saturn are in the 12th house (spirituality) these "things" could have to do with spiritual issues of some sort.

Expansively contractive,

Tim

Rev. Alice -

Would the Jupiter/Saturn interpretation you mentioned apply to Jupiter square Saturn as well? What you said to AJ really struck me.. I sense that applies to me as well.

You always have an interesting point of view, thank you!

Very interesting stuff...

Leopricorn, to answer your questions...

Generally I've had cheerful people at my work places, lots of fire rising signs to be concise. So that part of jupiter in 6th theme rings true for me.

About finding a job easily...

I have been able to find an OK (meaning you can go with it for long months before wanting to maybe make a leap to something more serious/challenging) job like maximum 3 weeks once I REALLY really have started putting myself out there to find one.
Mind you, the jupiter has good aspects with mars, MC, mercury and venus, so I use lots of networking + going to places in person too.

But having the only bad aspect of Jupiter with Saturn (upps), in a square, it means that for the career oriented/status oriented/very well-paid jobs I have to put lots of work, discipline and patience looking at the longer term. That I've indeed noticed.

I'm scorpio rising and have 3 squares to my intercepted sun, so I always have encountered challenges with some people at work, but they (co-workers) have always been of a jolly/enthusiastic nature overall.

This is my experience.
Take care
Angie

What about other aspects with a Jupiter singleton? 12th/6th Jupiter opposite Saturn?

That's great to know! If I had otherwise, I'd sulk the entire day!

Cool, I've always wondered how others felt about Jupiter in their 6th.

For me, I have Jupiter Sextiling my Sun, Mercury, and Mars. It also Trines my Midheaven. The only bad aspect I see is that it Opposes my ASC within 11 orbs. (Scary, I don't know how much that would affect my health - or even my weight!)

Lol, well all is good, thanks for sharing.

I have Jupiter in Aquarius in the 7th house - only planet in air - does this explain why I long for an intimate, committed relationship, yet I get scared/bored when I'm close to achieving it?

my Jupiter singleton opposes my sun, mercury and mars in Leo

Sag rules my 5th house (my Uranus is in Sag - only mutable planet) n Pisces rules my 8th house

Well, we have some similar energies

* NN in Leo
* Sun in the 5th
* Stellium in the 6th House
* Venus Conj Pluto in Virgo
* Moon in the 3rd Opposite Saturn (difficulty expressing "myself fully and creatively as well ...")
