I have saturn in leo and looked up the ephemeris only to find it'll be there until 2nd jan 08.

Its in my second house (3rd tho going by some charts) what does that mean? I know the second house is finances, yada yada, and I'm experiencing a few problems (or realisations rather) along those lines but nothing major.

I read somewhere that the saturn return is a nasty time, but does it just affect the house its in?

Any input most appreciated!

Hey OzMeg222 ~ I also have Saturn in Leo in the 2nd house. It's at 14*11' and my 3rd house starts at 14*14'! So I think I can relate to your query.

You'll need to look at the degree your Saturn is at. You will feel it the most when it's w/in about 4* or so of your natal Saturn (4* before and after your exact conjunction) but you will still feel it nevertheless when it is in the same decan that your degree of Saturn happens to be in.

You said: "Its in my second house (3rd tho going by some charts) what does that mean?"
This means that, like in my chart, your Saturn is at a certain degree and that your 3rd house starts closly after. But you still have Saturn in the 2nd house. When a planet so closly sits next to a house cusp some people believe that there is a dual focus of that planet (I.E. 2nd house finances/values & 3rd house thinking/speaking)

My Saturn return being at 14*Leo has technically passed. With it I've had a good time! It does not have to be nasty at all. Things are what You make of them! I have paid off almost all my credit debt but have also had a few unexpected things come up where i've needed more $, and that's been no problem. I also have found that things I used to put value into I no longer do. My values have changed! This is all 2nd house stuff.

They also say that when Saturn is transiting through one's 3rd house, and I think this can be true for us because of the dual focus Saturn return thing, that one needs to be mindful of one's thoughts or one may feel restricted and therefore depressed.

You said: "but does it just affect the house its in?" You need to look at what aspects your Saturn makes with other planets to see what other focuses (houses) are involved.

Saturn isn't so bad! On the negative side he Restricts, but on the positive he Restructures and Disiplines! Saturn can set up a great earthy foundation for awesome things to come. How do you want to use this energy?

Thank you so much for your reply! I feel much better now. I think I've learned that money really isn't important, my values have definately changed with regards to that.

My saturn conjuncts my moon with orb of 3 deg.

Not sure what that means.

Saturn is 26 deg leo, guess my saturn return hasn't passed yet!

I'm with you guys ~ I have Saturn in Leo in the 2nd house as well, although at 2 degrees. I think it's definitely about money but I agree with you, Hexxie, when you talk about how the second house is also about values.

So many of the things that I used to value very highly and put a lot of energy into that are completely unrelated to money have changed for me this year as well.

I think the Saturn Return gives you the "lesson" that is needed around the time when Saturn is passing your natal degree, but throughout the entire Saturn Return, I think you then have the opportunity to apply the things you have learned.

Here is a good article on Saturn in Leo. http://www.north-node.com/articles/saturn-in-leo

Saturn is about to enter my Second House and I have to say that its First House transit was hard at times but definitely constructive. For one thing, I got very comfortable with not trying to impress anyone. It's like - this is who I am, if you like it, great! If not - oh, well... So I think Saturn transit through Second House can be quite productive.

BUT... I noticed that in January 2007 Saturn goes retrograde until April. Any ideas on what that entail? I mean, Mercury retrograde is bad enough, I can not even begin to think about Saturn

Saturn transits are meant to re-define whatever planet they touch. The returns of Saturn mark maturity levels--so the first is a full "coming of age" time. It authorizes you to make your own choices, do things your own way . . . literally to claim authority over your life. From age 30 on, parents may advise, but it is up to you whether you take that advice.

Generally--Saturn direct begins the process of re-definition. At the retrograde, we have doubts, may rethink the definition, etc. Then when it goes direct again, the re-definition becomes permanent...........until the next time transiting Saturn reaches this point, at which time the prcess repeats.

Saturn is all about maturation--about growing up, taking responsibility for our own lives. The only other responsibility, mandated by LIFE, is that we are responsible for our minor children until they are grown.

This is about redefining the word "love" and/or your values.

To love means to value. Do you value things because they really support and promote your life, or because someone told you that you should value, or should have, them?

Are you mistaking chemistry for love? Many people do. Do the significant others in your life have any real value to contribute to your life? Literally: Are they worthy of you?

Thank you for the great insight . My Natal Mars is in 24 degrees Leo which means I will go through TSaturn/NMars conjunction twice I can't recall this transit's effects from previous years but I'll never forget the way Saturn/Mars conjunction manifested in my synastry with my ex. During our divorce he turned incredibly mean and cruel although generally it's very much unlike him. I felt like "Who IS that person?"

I would really appreciate any insight on handling this transit
