I was wondering what aspects in someone's chart would make them not want to have children. I love kids.......if they belong to other people. And kids love me but, I don't want any of my own. I decided this a few months ago, but I guess have always felt that way deep down. Was wondering what astrological influences could play into this? I have Moon square Venus natally. Venus is in the 5th, Moon 8th. Could that be it? I'm curious about the astrological apects/placements of people who've made this decision.

I am exactly the same as you when it comes to kids. I likle them if they are soemone else's kids. However, lately I have become somewhat broody!
I have no idea what astrological influences there are when it come to wanting , or not, kids!

Personally, I don't think that one's chart holds anything more than potential. In living we all make choices that direct our experiences, hence we control our life, not anyone or anything else.
I shared the very same feelings, regarding having children,... up until the very day I discovered that I was in the process of doing just that!
Of course, now that I have actually done this, not once but twice, I cannot think of life without their presence. However, if they had not come about, I would probably still be of the same feeling... My subconscious apparently felt much different about the subject! I'm grateful for that, now.
As far as the chart and children, as I understand it, the fifth house shows one's creative ways and, it usually will show the first child, (if there ever be one born ). The 7th usually shows the 2nd, the 9th the 3rd...etc. By 'show', I mean that when there actually is a child born, their own chart influences will usually somehow corrospond to the house, of at least one of the parents charts. I have also read that this can be true of any pregnancy, period.
Also, something about the moon and aspects it makes before it changes signs, ..I think it was that the number of aspects made shows the number of possible pregnancies...but, I'm not positive in my recollection of that...Maybe someone will have more insight on that...?
No doubt, there's many others here with much more knowledge than I.

woooooooooow!!!!!!!!chrononaut, i do share the same perspective as you do only that i had established it from a very long time.i have too venus in the 5th as well as mercury.the moon is in the 9th house and it does square my sun ,not my venus.

I have moon in virgo/8th house and venus in the gemini/5th house and I swing back and forth between wanting them and not wanting them. Everybody keeps saying well "You're young now, your feelings may change a couple of years down the road...blah blah blah." And they may be right too.

There will times when I'm like, oh children are sweet I would love to have some someday,like right now. But watch, tommorow I'll be like "I'm better off being an aunt".

I'm definitely not your typical Cancerian in this area. I need to make something of myself first before I start popping out babies.

I would think the fourth house and moon sign/placement would have more to do with wanting or not wanting children than venus aspects.

I have moon opposition Venus, nothing in the fourth house. In general, my chart is set up so that any feminine aspect of me is hammered astrologically. I suspect that's why.
