zephyr,In doing relationship comparisons, the first step is to understand how each person approaches relationships. This can be seen by looking for Libra, Venus, and the 7th house (all are about relationships) in each chart. In your chart, you have Libra modifying Uranus (friends), indicating you may like to be close but not TOO close in relationships. On the other hand, you have Capricorn (duty, also structure) modifying Venus, indicating you may also like some structure in relationships. This is reinforced since Venus trines (energy goes very easily with) Saturn. Venus is also conjunct (energy is combined with) Sun (self-expression, also dating), indicating that you may also like "dating-relationships). There is no energy focused in the 7th house indicating there is no focus on having relationships for the sake of having relationships.
Your friend also has Libra modifying Uranus, and Libra modifying Jupiter (expansion), as well, indicating he may be "expansive" in his relationships somehow. He has Venus conjunct his Nadir (inner world), indicating that his relationships are inwardly important to him. Venus squares (energy needs to be combined with) Pluto (transformation, also control), indicating he might have a "control or be controlled" attitude toward relationships. The challenge for him is to SHARE control in relationships. Energy is focused in the 7th house, indicating he has a focus on relationships.
The next thing to look at is the synatry chart and any connections between the Sun and Moon by themselves. There is an easy connection between Sun and Moon, indicating an easy connection between you. The next thing to look for are the aspects made between Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, and Mars (also called "personal" planets). These connections are mainly easy. The only challenge is a square between your Mars (being, also action, anger), which could indicate anger issues or confrontation between you. Looking at the other planets, your Saturn (duty, also structure) sextiles his Venus, which can indicate an easy urge to structure a serious relationship between you.
One of the challenges for both you and him in relationships is to decide if you want to be "just friends"...or something more. A challenge he has is handling control issues in relationships. The connections between you are basically easy connections which indicates you can get along with each other easily...if you are both willing to make the effort. No relationship forms by itself no matter how easy the interconnections: it takes the work of BOTH people in the relationship to make it work.
