Must you really go retrograde on my birthday?
I mean, I am already turning thirty....as if that's not bad enough.... and I have organized a party at a restaurant for it, hoping my friends and family get toasted as skunks in my honour.. only less stinky... and now plans will funkify and people will misunderstand one another......
Plus, all that Scorpio energy... there are bound to be some passionate conversations as we imbibe in pasta creations.

I'd say Having Moon ( emotions, in a nutshell) in conjunction with all that similar planetary energy, focused in the same house ( so that's where you figure HOW it's going to affect you.. home/work/relations etc....) I imagine it would give you a lot of oomph.
Positive or negative, you'll definately express yourself /emote ...um....expressively.
PLus, it's all squaring Saturn, that's always fun.

A Libra's birthday party came crashing through the front door (right outside my bedroom) last weekend, and something happened to cause the wall of my room to shake enough to knock over my [musical] keyboard. I found out a few days later that it's disk drive is broken. I can't record and save anything now. It really sucks.

That's not the only thing that's broke on me though. My new smoothie maker's control switch [three position] broke. I've had it maybe two weeks at best. It still works, but the pulse is gone, the low setting is in between settings (not at it's locked position), and the high speed is the only one that works right.

I think your 30-Bash will go off fine!! I treat Merc retros as a time when anything that can go wrong MIGHT, not WILL. Just a little extra prep in advance, and making contingency plans for snafus, will probably take you thru the Merc retro unscathed Last November when Merc was retro in Scorpio I took my computer into the shop to be repaired, and all was well!!
