Sun = Aquarius

What does it mean when these two planets are in the same sign and what is the impact on their Love life and their ability to approach relationships! They never seem to ever even be interested in the thought!!

Hey there!

I have a dear friend with an Aqua sun and Mars, Venus and Jupiter in Pisces, in close conjunct---

He is VERY detached or appears to be relationship-wise, but I have seen a very deep, sweet side to him as well.

I can feel his pain when he connects on a soul level, but as his Aqua heart quickly detaches, he can become ice cold in an instant.

I can only imagine how hard this may be. I on the other hand have a Pisces sun with Mars, Jupiter and Mercury in Aqua (Venus 0 deg Aries) and can be openly expressive and loving, but quickly detach when necessary. This Aqua man and I click so well, that is why I can feel his pain, amazing synastry.

I just love the water/air combo in a natal chart but have often pondered how difficult it must be for the Air native to freely express all the watery emotions he/she surely must feel!

Terri

BTW I think they are "interested" but so detached that one may not pick up on it!

Hi Imj515 ~ Hope you don't mind a text book interp! I really like the cafeastrology one. Check it out:

quote:
Venus conjunct Mars
For people with a Venus-Mars conjunction in their natal charts, the blending of the feminine and masculine energies within is a natural process, although other aspects to the conjunction will tell the whole story as to how this is done. These people possess personal magnetism in spades. They live and breathe romantic/sexual relationships. It is generally easy for them to form relationships, unless the conjunction is severely afflicted. They ooze sexuality, and they are generally quite impulsive with regards to entering new relationships. Relationships are not only important to them, they require a fair amount of excitement, adventure, and passion in their pairings in order to feel alive and vital. With this conjunction, there is generally a pleasing blend of self-assertion and cooperation. This comprises some of their charm, in that they generally know how to assert themselves without stepping on others' toes. In some cases, men with this aspect may be too dominating in romantic situations, and might gain a reputation for being "macho". This is not always the case, however. For the most part, these people are quite direct about what they want in a relationship, and they are quite passionate when it comes to going about getting what they want. It can be a challenge maintaining perspective when it comes to relationships. These people are generally highly creative and are bent on finding outlets for their creativity. Their vitality and warm energy is something that can be felt by others, as if it lies just below the surface.

Alternate, short interpretation: You are extremely amorous and it is difficult for you to go without a romantic involvement for very long. When you are attracted to someone, you pursue them very ardently and sometimes come on too strong. Doing creative work or artistic work can also satisfy the very strong desire for love and beauty that you feel.

I'd imagine this conjunction, in Pisces, would be absolutly dreamy! I think they'd be very magnetic in pulling to themselves who they wanted. I don't really think they'd make the 1st move typically.
You said 'they never seem to ever even be interested in the thought' hmmm... perhaps a relationship that is more fanciful rather than one that is so in the box (of society) would be more appropriate for one with these placements. What I mean is simply not to look to society for the norm in a relationship, make your own rules and/or traditions. So as far as not being 'interested' maybe just the right person has not come along who's different enough to spark the interest! Hope I'm making at least some sense as Mercury has gone retro today and i'm all tongue-tied!

Hi Hippichick! You are totally right about how difficult it is for the Air person trying to express the watery emotions! According to the Walter Pullen chart from astro.com I am 33% air & 32% water. My Sun/Moon/Asc are all air. Sun & Moon are in water houses. I am constantly going through this every second. I have such deep fathomless emotions but no one would know unless they stuck around to get behind the Wall. It's hard to let the guard down even when I want to.
Tis good to see you back around Ms Druidess

`Who are you?' said the Caterpillar. This was not an encouraging opening for a conversation. Alice replied, rather shyly, `I--I hardly know, sir, just at present-- at least I know who I WAS when I got up this morning, but I think I must have been changed several times since then.'

Hi lmj, Terri & Hexxie!!

Hexxie, you wrote:

That’s often true for me too with Libra Sun & Pisces Moon….. I think it’s because the Airy signs are so dependent on and enamored of verbal language – and it’s so difficult to really express emotions in mere words….. it’s also difficult when others see only the sociable, sometimes frivolous Airy method of communication and conclude that there’s nothing underneath…..

I don’t know if this helps lmj much, but long ago I had a b/f with Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus and Chiron in Aqua, Mars in Cap, Jupiter in Scorpio and I think Sag Asc. He was a warm and funny fella but had a devil of a time expressing his emotions – he could SHOW me, but couldn’t seem to verbalize what he felt. And when he temporarily detached, for whatever reason, brrrrrr!!! And Terri, walls are necessary to protect the mooshy interior -- we choose carefully who we will open the door in the wall to, yes??

I'd like to show my thanks to everyone that has posted a reply to my question. They have all been of huge help. I understand it also broke of into 2 topics of the same so i appologise for that. I find that a big air/water influence on anyones chart is going to have some of the same views and ideals as each other which is a great help to hear from other people such as my self.

I was wondering if anyone could maybe if it is there point out this affliction, i get the personal magnetism completly but not the easyiness of relationship forming?
