Periodically, if I have too much stress, my immune system gets run down and I end up with chronic fatigue. I've had epstein-barr virus (which reoccurs when things seem to reach a peak), and I also tend to be anaemic if I'm not vigilant about my iron levels. I also seem to have random allergic reactions every now and then (I guess this is related to when my immune system is low). It all seems to happen in five year cycles - 17, 21, 26, 31 are the ages where I've felt the strongest effect. I'm 31 now and in a cycle of fatigue and having all sorts of relatively minor health problems. I guess the answer to all this is to get more sleep, get back into vigorous exercise (my Jupiter in Aries loves this), and boost my immune system.

But I'm wondering why keeping in good health seems to be so much harder for me than for most other people. Could it be my Mars in Pisces? Pisces seems like a weak sign for Mars to be placed in. I don't smoke, rarely drink (no more than 2 or 3 drinks once a week but very often not at all), only 1 or 2 coffees a day, I take vitamins, I drink water and herbal tea, keep fit by walking every day (although like I said, vigorous exercise seems to give me a massive boost). The thing that seems to get me though, is stress.

So is this tendency caused by Mars in Pisces, or should I be looking at something else in my chart?

And I wonder if this affects other Mars in Pisces people at all?

I have Mars in Pisces and while I can get run down, it is usually caused by my own hands. I have a Sag Sun / Venus and Aries moon. I juggle 3-4 jobs at work, each equally intense and demanding. I have to travel sometimes 2-3 times a month, which can put alot of pressure on me. I live in a rural county and have to go to Phoenix almost monthly for state meetings. I end up leaving my house at 5am for a 9am meeting, attending and then getting back on the road at 4pm to drive back. I end up feeling drained and sometimes ill.

But, I also have a strong moon and Pluto conjunct Ascendant which seems to pull me out of a real bad illness or funk. I can sometimes be anemic, but only at certain times of the month and I can usually plan for that. I have allergies, which can affect my sleep if I am not careful.

I have a strong constitution but I can push myself to the point where I need to take at least a day to get my energy back.

I'm sorry things are hard on your right now. There are several heavy planets lined up at this time- Pluto in Sag and Saturn in Leo may be causing some issues with your six house.

PS...I smoke, drink alcohol, stay up late and LOVE coffee ... all the things that should be kicking my rear.. I would look to something else or what aspects are affecting your Mars in Pisces

Interesting... thanks! I was wondering since these periods occur for me around every five years, whether it might have anything to do with solar eclipses? Interestingly, I have a Sag ascendant and in the past I have totally pushed myself doing too much at once and this has led to my stress! However I make a conscious effort with that now... seems like a lot of the stress that's got me run down has been from external factors rather than me bringing it on my own head this time!

GeminiLover75 -

I'm going to do the best I can here, although I do not have a Pisces Mars. I DO know a little about the exact same stress, immune challenges, fatigue, anemia, allergies, need for more sleep, and sticking to a regular exercise routine.

ALL THE ABOVE ... yes ...

If I were thinking of your Chart, I would consider these to be of the "nervous system" nature. Mars in Pisces is not the biggest go'getter of the Mars, but in many ways, it gets you what you need with the least effort.

So Mars in Pisces would be the LAST thing I would consider. If anything, that Mars is what's going to be there for you if you learn how to be less demanding of yourself. Allow others to enjoy the gift of giving TO YOU.

So, what do you have with Mercury/Virgo/Gemini/6th House and/or Uranus/Aquarius/11th House?

If you can, include Aspects.

I've been so horribly fatigued. It's getting worse and worse as the months go by, to the point where I can sleep for at least 15 hours. I have work and school, both fulltime, so I am horribly scared of failure.

I just started taking diet pills just to control my appetite and try to keep my energy at a somewhat functional level. And still, I feel absolutely exhausted, wherever I go, whatever I do.

This time of year is not so good for the immune system, August is the month when people's immune systems are lowest and then October brings Halloween and those sugary sweets. Sugar is the number one culprit it brings down the immune system and destroys cells.

If you put a sugar solution on a living cell it will explode eventually (biology class)

Stay away from sugar, and not too much dairy and carbs-eat more veggies, whole grains and drink water, eat fruit.

I do not have Mars in Pisces but possibly Mars in Sag has the same problem because Pisces is co-ruled by Jupiter.

Stay away from sugar and drinks, wine gives me such a headache and always makes me sick for weeks. I used to love wine and sweets, with a Taurus sun, but last year I got so sick from wine, I won't touch it until Valentine's Day. That's when I'll need it.

When it comes to health/medical stuff, I don't feel comfortable with using regular Astrology. I feel very comfortable with using cosmobiology including the use of hard aspects and midpoints to look for potential health issues for instance a person with Sun square Neptune can indicate a person who is extremely sensitive to medications and need half the dosage as well as can can have immunity issues...the same with people who have Sun square Saturn/Neptune midpoint. I knew a person who is HIV positive, and he happened to have Sun oppose Saturn/Neptune midpoint almost exact. He also had Mars square Saturn/Neptune midpoint too. So he had planetary picture of Sun = Mars = Saturn/Neptune. Hard Mars/Neptune configurations have to do with infections.

a lot of highly sensitive people are prone to stress. After all, highly sensitive people are highly reactive to external stimuli. We live in a very stimulating world, and so we tend to overly stimulated which has to do with stress.

According to the book,THE HIGHLY SENSITIVE PERSON
Highly sensitive people tend to have high cortisol levels. Cortisol is a stress hormone.
Stress also can lead to depression. Highly sensitive people might often seen as having the need for prozac is they tell doctors about their trait in full detail.

Still going with the "nervous system" angle.

The worst thing you can do is take diet pills. Why do you feel the need to control your appetite?

The best way to eat for the rest of your life is, eat every 3 hours, smaller portions. Usually you'll get the 3 main meals, plus 2 snacks in between. If you go BY THE CLOCK every 3 hours, you'll never be hungry and you'll be doing your metabolism a favor. Start little by little ...

I had mentioned any of the "Mercury/Virgo/Gemini/6th House and/or Uranus/Aquarius/11th House" to look for in your Chart. I should have added the 3rd House to that.

Anyways, I'll just mention a few things that may be at work :::

* Mercury in Aquarius in the 1st House (you probably attract a lot of people you find to be needy). Remember, it's OK to take care of you first.

* Ascendant in Aquarius

* Chiron in the 3rd House

* In your 6th House is your North Node in Cancer, this repeats the type of needy people you will continue to attract. The thing is, it's in Cancer, the 4th House Rules Cancer, and your 4th House is where the middle of your empty space is in the Wheel. So it feels as if you have to work really hard to accomplish "home" stuff, like home environment or family.

To me, so far, this says that you will continue to have a strong healing theme in your Chart, especially when it comes to those close to you. A job doing counseling is NOT recommended, you're going to be doing that for the rest of your life, and many times feel a sense of not having completed what needs to be done.

* Your 4th House Cusp is in Gemini.

* Opposite that 4th House you have a very dream-like energy working. This is the area where you'll gain all that is needed to accomplish what you want. Since it's so dream-like, it's not something you or anyone else can depend on 100% of the time. Just makes me want to say again, it's OK to take care of yourself first.

The dream-like part is your Moon/Neptune Conjunction, and Neptune in Sagittarius being in the 11th House, again you can't help but help someone when they come to you. Although they are Conjunct, the Moon is over in the 10th House (assuming time of birth is accurate) -

The 10th House is the Opposite of the House which Rules the Moon. It's almost like having a Moon Opposite Saturn effect, (meloncholy, uncertainty in social stuff). This may aggravate your tendency that you can't do enough.

* Your Mars in Libra desires to be very fair to everyone and everything.

* Jump back to your 10th House, your Uranus is there too, and in Sagittarius.

You need to do things on a very, almost selfish, but subconscience level. This may mean you lose friends in the process, or that your current friends may be taken aback, but will most certainly come around again.

So all this "activity" and planning you have going on, including work and school fulltime is (TO ME) the complete opposite direction you should be going.

Be an artist at something, and stay there.
