Representing the fifth harmonic, wherein the 360 degree circle is divided by five and them multiplied, this group of astrological aspects consist of the waxing quintile with an angular value of 72 degrees,the waxing biquintile of 144 degrees,the waning biquintile of 216 degrees,and the waning quintile with an angular value of 288 degrees.

There is a school of thought that would place the the quintile fifth in rank of power among the aspects---behind the square but ahead of the sextile. The mathematical logic for this is simple enough,yet when the astrologer stops to surmise that twice a sextile equals a trine,and twice a quintile equals a biquintile,the underlying theoretical assumptions come into question.

Rather than looking for obvious evidence of this aspect's manifestation as comparable to the even-numbered harmonics of the square or sextile,I believe that the quintile family of aspects deal with the subtle spiritual processes which become externally visible only after an internal cleansing takes place. The conjunctions showing on my 5th Harmonic signify Quints or Bi-Quints. I think there should be more, though I do believe the orb is supposed to be fairly small.
