Did anyone else get these, let discuss what they mean and any questions anyone has one them, 'cause i have one i think.

I have Spica(a gift from the goddess) as my Heliacal Rising Star, and indicates fame if supported by other successful strong stars, the other strong successful fixed stars mine is supported by are:

The Hearthstone Star of My Life:
Castor - One of the Twins of Gemini, with Saturn in Foundation

STARS THAT ARE LINKED TO MY PLANETS:
(the only star of my youth) - Alnilam - The Belt of Orion, with Saturn

(stars of my prime) - Antares - The Heart of the Scorpion, with Venus (this star happens to by Arising Lying Hidden)

Bellatrix - The Left Shoulder of the God, with Mercury in Prime

Castor - One of the Twins of Gemini, with Saturn in Prime

(star of my latter years) - Alcyone - The Pleiade, The Third Eye, with Sun

Bellatrix - with Sun

(my Angle star) - Sadalmelek - Lucky one of the King

If someone can analyze this following information for me:

Heliacal Setting Star:
Mirach - The Receptive Feminine
Prime Star: Antares - The Heart of the Scorpion - With Venus - "Arising Lying Hidden" (only prime star of mine emphasized as specific)
(arising lying hidden stars have a more fated manner and are expressed more powerfully & bluntly)

Can anyone tell from this information if my possible fame (spica, etc) could have something to do with an extreme (arising lying hidden) expression of sexuality, sexual values, relationships, etc (antares-heart of the scorpion with venus, mirach)??

(i do have Pluto opposition Vesta*)

Yes I asked for and received the fixed star natal report, it's WOW, and thus far 'above my head'....

That said, I have:

Heliacal Rising Star = Mirach The receptive feminine, using rapport and consensus as a personal life philosophy.

Heliacal Setting Star = Spica A gift from the godess, wanting to use one's talents for the greatest possible good.

Honestly I am still ingesting and trying to digest these reports...it's a slow process, the flower essence report has grabbed my attention....

The hearthstones of my life:

Alcyone from the Pleides with Sun in foundation. The ruthless visionary, a passionate and arrogant person. (This star is arising/lying hidden)

Alkes from the Crater or cup with Sun. A vessel to carry something for others.

Ras Algethi The natural order with Mercury. Inquisitive about nature of objects, people or the laws of creation.

Hmmm....

Hey Neptune:--The following information is the best I know, my mother isn't sure whether I was born @ 01:30 or 03:30, however this feels right. I think/feel I'm more Aries Asc than Pisces, so the 03:30 time seems right.

Moon in Pisces 3 deg-11th house/Sun Taurus 28 deg/Aries rising @ 12 deg/Mercury @ 20 deg Gemini/Venus @ 20 deg Taurus 2nd house/Mars @ 7 deg Gemini-2nd house/

IC cusp=Cancer
my MC appears unaspected.

Royal stars are no joke. They are not just potential success. They are also potential challenges. That's how master numbers are too.

The Royal Stars of Persia. The name alone evokes exotic perfumes, spices of the sun, flames of gold, and silk and wool carpets whose sequences of knots tell stories of trees and flowers, birds and clouds.

However, as we have noted before, the Royal Stars of Persia refer to four particular stars – Antares, Aldebaran, Regulus and Fomalhaut – each one guarding one of the four compass points of the heavens. All four Royal Stars are connected with the supreme Persian deity Ahura Mazda, (shown left) father of Spenta Mainyu, beneficent spirit, and Angra Mainyu, the destructor. Each star promises glory, achievement and success but each star only gives this glory if the dark destructor can be avoided.

Thus to have your chart connected in some way with a Royal Star means that there will always be this duality between light and destruction interwoven into your earthly journey. Great glory is promised to you but only if you can overcome the nemesis which can destroy.

ALDEBARAN

Aldebaran is a bright red star in the sky in the southern eye of the constellation Taurus, The Bull, the great cornerstone marking the spring equinox. Aldebaran was seen as the god Mithra, or Ahura Mazda, the slayer of the Cosmic Bull, a great military god who gave victories to his followers but only if they followed the strictest procedure in his worship. As well, Mithra was a warrior king who also held the title 'lord of contracts'. He considered all exchanges were sacred and in overseeing the business of his followers, insisted on their honesty and purity or else they would be condemned to an ordeal of fire. From these ancient beliefs and customs we can extrapolate a more current and present-day meaning regarding success, for Aldebaran, in keeping with all the Royal Stars, promises the attainment of one's goals but only, in this case, by maintaining moral integrity. Any compromise on this level and all that has been achieved can be rapidly lost, and possibly in some way involving fire.(1)

he heliacal rising star is the star that has been walking the path of the underworld and has now emerged to be visible in the world of humans bearing gifts from the land of the person’s past, their family or their genetics. This gift or treasure is handed to the person at birth. The heliacal rising star is a theme in the person’s life. It helps build the person’s philosophies and can, at times, take on a vocational pulse. To have Aldebaran as one’s heliacal rising star indicates that you are born with strong principals and ethics and feel deeply and intensely about certain issues in life and how they can be achieved. You will be challenged to maintain your principals in the face of compromise, and as long as you can maintain your focus, success is yours. We get a glimpse of how these principals have been articulated in the examples of the people above.

If you have Aldebaran rising with one of your planets or culminating or setting, or even reaching the nadir of your chart while one of your natal planets was also on an angle, then it can give you glory, the glory metaphorically symbolized by exotic perfumes, spices of the sun, flames of gold, and knotted silk carpets. However, your challenge will be to maintain your integrity in the face of compromise.

REGULUS

Regulus as the natal Heliacal Rising or Setting Star

The Persians saw Regulus, known as the Heart of the Lion, and the alpha star of the constellation Leo, as the Watcher of the North and Brady (1999) links this star to the Persian stories of the mythological king Feridun who, it is told, once ruled the entire known world. Feridun came to adulthood by winning a great battle and claimed the throne of the kingdom for himself. He brought civilisation and laws to his people and the land benefited and prospered. Thus his reign was filled with success. As he moved into eldership, he gave much thought about how to pass on his lands and eventually decided to divide his flourishing kingdom into equal portions amongst his three sons. However, in their greed, his two eldest sons murdered their younger brother and seized his lands for themselves. Such a heartless, avaricious act shocked and grieved Feridun. He seethed with anger. He fumed with the desire for revenge. Once more he rode into battle, this time against his two sons. The war of revenge bought total decimation to the kingdom. All that Feridun had achieved turned to dust and the golden days of his rule abruptly came to an end.

The nemesis of Regulus is revenge and if Regulus connects into you chart by paran or as a helical rising or setting star, then you will gain great success in your chosen field. However, you will also be tempted in some manner shape or form at some stage of your life, to take revenge. If you choose to take this road, then like Feridun, all for which you have strived and all that has given you success turns to dust.

The heliacal rising star, as well as the heliacal setting star, are themes in the person’s life. They help to build the person’s philosophies and can at times, take on a vocational pulse. Regulus with its mythology and in this position, appears to compel a person to succeed, to shine, to move forward with their life. To have Regulus as one’s heliacal rising or setting star indicates that you will be strongly focused to aim high in your life but you must be open and alert to what could result from taking revenge [1].

One would have to look at each person’s chart in order to understand the nature of the theme being expressed by that planet / luminary and hence the way that the desire for revenge may have underwritten that theme. But this general look at Regulus, either as the heliacal rising or setting star or in connection with a planet / luminary in the charts of the well-known, gives us an indication of the nature of Regulus, the Royal Star, the Watcher of the North, that promises glory as long as one is strong enough not to take revenge when thwarted.

Most of the people above have been able to generate that integrity in their work, pushing into areas where their best talents lie and achieving success. We won’t necessarily be privy to the times when revenge is offered but one thing is for certain - they will have been there and caused a dilemma for each of these people in connection with the planet or luminary or angle with which Regulus makes contact.

For the Royal Stars concretize this duality between Spenta Mainyu and Angra Mainyu. In the case of Regulus, the shadow side embodied by Angra Mainyu, the destructor, takes the form of the desire for retribution. But as has been noted in the past: revenge is a dish best eaten cold, when the heat of the moment has cooled and the actions one wishes to take can be put into perspective and resisted.

With other Royal Stars the form is different and we will meet these in future editions of the VAN.

So if you have Regulus in paran with a planet in your chart, recognize it can give you glory, the glory metaphorically symbolized by rooms lined with porphyry, necklaces of lapis lazuli, bracelets of carnelian and rings of turquoise, a market place of magic carpets, tapestries and silks and the magnificent decorative reliefs, glinting mosaics and the rich gold work of ancient Persian architecture. But do not use the status that your talents and your successes give you to plan how you may bring your enemies low, for your nemesis is destructive revenge.

ANTARES

Antares as the natal Heliacal Rising Star

Antares is known as the Heart of the Scorpion and is the alpha star of the constellation Scorpius. Linked with obsession, it is a star that brings intensity and probing.

One would have to look at each person’s chart in order to understand the nature of the theme being expressed by that planet / luminary and hence the way that intensity and obsession underwrote that theme. But this general look at Antares, either as the heliacal rising star or in connection with a planet / luminary in the charts of the well-known, gives us an indication of the nature of Antares, the Royal Star, the Watcher of the West, that promises glory through a clear-eyed focus. All of the people above have been able to generate that focus into their work, either taking on the roles of obsessive characters as actors or writers or by looking at what lay beneath the surface of life as inventors, researchers and political activists. Others, such as Joan of Arc and Charles I, paid the price for obsession with their own lives, leaving us the legacy of their preoccupation.

All of the Royal Stars concretize the duality between Spenta Mainyu and Angra Mainyu. In the case of Antares, fulfilment of the promise of glory takes a person through an encounter with passion, mania and compulsion and the shadow side embodied by Angra Mainyu, the destructor, takes the form of intensity and obsession. With other Royal Stars the form is different and we will meet these in future editions of the V.A.N.

If you have Antares in paran with a planet in your chart it can give you glory, the glory metaphorically symbolized by rooms lined with porphyry, necklaces of lapis lazuli, bracelets of carnelian and rings of turquoise, a market place of magic carpets, tapestries and silks and the magnificent decorative reliefs, glinting mosaics and the rich gold work of ancient Persian architecture. But beware. Tread lightly and with clear eyes for your nemesis is destructive obsession.

FOMALHAUT

Fomalhaut as the natal Heliacal Rising Star

Lying close to Aquarius in the part of the sky which Aratus named the Water, this is the fish who drinks the flow from the urn of Aquarius. This stream-drinking fish is an earlier symbol of life and fertility, for it was the one who carried the egg, drinking the sperm or river of life. This is also the fish in Celtic mythology which holds great wisdom and has gone through many incarnations as the fish that swallows the ring and the fish which is encountered on the journey the hero takes through the whirlpool.

The Persians in about 3,000 BCE, however, did not see it as a fish but rather considered its alpha star, Fomalhaut, as one of the Royal Stars and called it the Watcher in the South, as it marked their winter solstice. Fomalhaut contains a touch of the mystic, a sense of magic, and is based on high ideals or lofty visions. Being one of the Royal Stars, it contains charisma and its version of this charisma is beauty or perfect harmony. With this great star touching your chart by paran you need to be very clear and honest with yourself about your motives in the pursuit of some goal and as you start to achieve your outcome, it is imperative that personal glory does not become the main driving force. If recognition is forthcoming, it is also important that it is not manipulated for personal glorification.

Another side to this star is the bitter-sweet madness of the poetic mind challenged to remain in the physical world. It is the child stolen by the fairies who must reject the sweet non-life and fight to return to the mortal world of life, death and pain.

The heliacal rising star is the star that has been walking the path of the underworld and has now emerged to be visible in the world of humans bearing gifts from the land of the person’s past, their family or their genetics. This gift or treasure is handed to the person at birth. The heliacal rising star is a theme in the person’s life. It helps build the person’s philosophies and can, at times, take on a vocational pulse. To have Fomalhaut as one’s heliacal rising star indicates that you are born with the touch of the mystic and seek _expression of your high ideals or lofty visions. You will be challenged to maintain clarity about these goals and as you begin to achieve them, it is imperative that recognition and personal glory are not the main driving forces. We get a glimpse of how this has manifested in the lives of the people above.

Most of the people above have been able to generate integrity in their work, pushing into areas where their best talents lie and achieving success. One would have to look at each person’s chart in order to understand the nature of the theme being expressed by that planet / luminary and hence the way that the nemesis of Fomalhaut has tempted them in their lives. We won’t necessarily be privy to the times when personal glory had to be thrust aside. One thing, however, is certain - they will have been there and caused a dilemma for each of these people in connection with the planet or luminary or angle with which Fomolhaut made contact. For the Royal Stars concretize this duality between Spenta Mainyu and Angra Mainyu and in the case of Fomolhaut, the shadow side embodied by Angra Mainyu, the destructor, takes the form of the desire for personal glory. For the beautiful mystical charisma contained within a chart touched by Fomalhaut must exist for its own sake and not as something you may want to manipulate for personal glory.

And so ends this focused look at the four Royal Stars of Persia. If you have one or more of these beautiful stars connected into your chart, then recognize they can give you glory, the glory metaphorically symbolized by exotic perfumes, spices of the sun, flames of gold, and knotted silk carpets. You will, however, be challenged. It is up to you how you rise to that challenge.

Alignments instead of conjunctions

One of the methods for working with fixed stars is to project the star onto the ecliptic via the lines of longitude from the celestial poles. When a planet was also at this projected degree on the ecliptic, then the only term astrologers had at their disposal was the to label the planet "conjunct" the star. Yet the star may well be around one of the poles, over 80 degrees away from the planet. Similarly if two stars occupied the same projected degree, whether the stars were in the same hemisphere or not, then these stars were considered conjunct. Thus a star could be deep in the south and be considered conjunct a star in the northern sky.

This misnomer has lead to some astrologers actually thinking that the planets were in the same place in the sky as the star. After a discussion in cyberspace with a community of astrologers that do work with projected degrees, it has been agreed to call these configurations alignments. Thus if the Sun is at, let us say, 14 Capricorn, it will no longer be referred to as "conjunct Vega" but rather as "aligned to Vega".

Thus in astrology we will have:

A planet conjunct a planet - the normal concept of one ecliptically-tied body moving to the same ecliptical degree as the other, regardless of their celestial latitude.
A planet in paran to a star - the visual astrology method of linking a star to a planet.
A planet aligned to a star - the projected method of linking a star to a planet.

We hope that by astrologers adopting the term "alignment" instead of conjunction, that collectively we can begin to correct this misnomer and the resulting misunderstandings it produces. Please join us in this endeavour.

>> Fomalhaut The watcher of the South with Sun in prime --- the artist, the idealist, the one who is vulnerable to hubris.

...talking about royal stars, wow you've got the others Glaucus...Aldebaran & Antares are favourite stars of mine, being A.Taurus (my sign) and A.Scorpius the hugest constellation and highly visible from our latitude. Regulus & Fomalhaut are also stunning beautiful stars.

Here is the site of Diana Rosenberg. She is said to be the foremost astrologer on fixed stars. She projects stars on the ecliptic, and so she use alignments.

Here is an example of fixed star report using the alignments

Venus linked with Antares seems like you can achieve success in love, beauty, relationships but you have to avoid obsession or there will be downfall in those areas.

I thought the report explained the parans well..the interpretations were very much in depth. Bernadette Brady elaborated on the report.

I think that you have to just synthesize and use your intuition about what the report means to you. Only you know what your report means.
