I don't remember where i've read this so i need some clue..a reference maybe, that mercury in saggitarius is a great placement for eye-hand coordination, for activities like driving and playing some instruments like the piano or guitar.I have this placement and i blind-type on keyboard, i can learn to play piano and guitar songs very fast and accurate. Now, i might be wrong...if someone can enlightne me

nope, quite the opposite.

it has problems with.... but when the person works very very hard it can turn the obstacle into soemthing beautiful.

find some autobiographical stuff on robert hand... he has it and talks about it in an interview...

my case: it takes me a LOT of effort, but when i put my mind to it i can draw or write beautifuly. if not - it's a mess not even i can make sense of. and my drawing talent... goes to waste for lack of patience and ambition.

so, bottom line - you want it? want it harder and work hardest!

then there should be some placement, i can't explain it other way...it just flows through me, the ease with which i play the piano and guitar and all that stuff.

Hi Ana...

I have Mercury in Virgo conjunct Sun (almost exact). My Moon in the 3rd house.
I twirled a baton all through school. Sometimes 2 batons and sometimes ablaze
..Jupiter in Leo.
Maybe look to aspects that would lend dexterity.

That sounds like Sagittarius to me. More spiritual than technical

I have Mercury in Sagittarius, and I've always had neat, legible handwriting. I also play a few instruments well, and I type well.

I wouldn't say that my coordination is tremendously above average or anything. It's probably normal with the exception that I can play music.

I'd look at harmonious aspects to Mercury,Gemini and/or 3rd house.

I have mercury in Sag and my mind is brilliant when it comes to understanding systems and context, how a whole bunch of little things can fit together to make whole pattern. I think this is a Sag talent, and part of why I just love astrology. However my speech--word pronunciation--can be a little clumsy sometimes. I'll just say the wrong thing at the wrong time in the wrong way, but even that is not all bad as it makes people laugh... it's because mercury is in its detriment in sag. I envy Gemini glibness.

I think thats the thing. Sag is about the big picture, seeing systems but not really concerned with the fine details. Signs ruled by merc, ie gem or vir can do the nitty gritty detail. Thats why traditionally Sag is the detriment of merc.

I am neither a sag or gem but have gem in mars and have found sags not too good with details. I worked with a sag in a communication type environment and always found her to deal with rather sloppy on detail (but intelligent otherwise), while I was very good on detail and pedantic to a certain extent (probably also because 3rd house cusp is Gem, 6th house cusp is vir for me and I have plu in it).

Perhaps we ought to be looking to Venus or Mars. Venus would rule the artistic side of the equation, and Mars the physical.

I've got Venus conjunct Neptune. Venus sextiles to Pluto, and Neptune sextiles to my Moon. Venus and Neptune are both in Venus-ruled 7th house.

My Mars is in Scorpio, which is also considered to be sextiled to my Moon. It's in the 6th house, so perhaps it doesn't mind working, and perfecting physical mechanics that are required for playing music.

Well as for body coordination (eg sports), I was so poor as a child that I had to be given special coord lessons at school, I was taken out of general class. I think this was caused by my retro merc in Aqu (squ ura). I think I have improved since and surprisingly I was always a good dancer (maybe lib moon and Tau SN??. However, my hand coordination was always good. I was always very good a drawing, more or less good at picking up musical instruments and things like sewing. I'm sure mars in Gem in 3rd has helped in this (and also a cause to my broken hand and scars!)

Otherwise, I have an unasp venus in sag/9th. Moon in Libra in 7th (good for music, as well as tau on 2nd house cusp), nep in sag/9th opp mars and as mentioned above, ok aspected mars in gem/3rd (sextile Asc/Jup, trine Jup, sextile moon, opp nep).

ana,

just because you're good at it, doesn't mean it must be 'easy'. piano training involves a lot of discipline, as far as i remember.

that's THE point! great results come with great work. behind each 'flaw' there is a gift waiting to be acknowledged.

ppl who have it easy, don't appreciate it. and they don't put in the effort and the ambition.

cl: IT IS the sag mercury.

Cappadora - yes, that is the sag mercury 'gift'. seeing the big picture, the patterns, the strategy. and yes, at the other end, there's gem mercury and vigo mercury minding (obssessing about) the details
