One thing that I still can't figure out is the Houses. I don't understand what a 'house' is, or the terms used with them, for instance the refrence to shapes. Here I thought I knew all about astrology (I was really heavy into in high school) but have never heard of this stuff. I guess owning and memorizing Linda's Sun Signs doesn't make me a know it all ...but are there links in that thread that could point in me in the right direction for understanding that aspect of Astrology?

I just spent an hour browsing through CafeAstrology...thank you many times over! I feel like I am finally really sinking my teeth into all of the things I never really understood before. I have to leave the computer for lunch and don't really want to, afraid I'll lose my place and focus. Its like a puzzle! Thanks again!

I ordered this and mine has a lot of pages (the important ones, grr) unprinted within the book. Anyone know if this is true about all copies, or did I just get a defective one?

i hope you know now wht houses means....well the ascendant or the rising sign is always the 1st house. the rest of the houses r numbered from the ascendant. so if i hv asc as 25 degree cancer, then my 2nd house cud be leo, 3rd virgo etc etc. i don't knw how the exact degree whr the house begins is calculated, but it has to do with the latitude whr u were born.

The houses have smilar roles as the signs. so 1st house is like aries, and signifies the personality or sth like tht. 4th house is like cancer, the 4th sign....so it stands for family, home, mother etc.

Ok, so...like lets see if I am getting this...

My Moon is in the 2nd House. Which is Gemini. So does that mean I "apply" the Gemini profile to 2nd house which is "Values and Possessions"???

Does that make sense? lol

I bought the book last night and so far all I've had time to read is the section Aries Woman, Aquarius Man. And I'm totally bummed. This doesn't sound like Kevin and I AT ALL! Am I using this book wrong? This sounded like the exact opposite of us. Not only as a couple but as individuals....
