This long 6 year bout with powerlessness has come to an end, and once again, in America, we can have faith that when the American people decide to take action, our democratic system actually works in their favor. Let's hope the Democrats stay focused, act positively, and make change happen for the better.
So everyone, what broken down, unhealthy aspects of your life are you ready to overthrow? The New Moon in Scorpio is the perfect time to put muscle behind an intention to break systemic delusions that exist in our personal lives. So how about if we all take a deep breath, muster up some courage, and gracefully greet this New Moon in Scorpio with the intention to open our eyes to our own failures, negativities and self-delusions.
And boy do we have some powerful help this year! Mars/Mercury/Sun/Moon/Jupiter are all in Scorpio, trine the North Node in transcendent Pisces, and square a serious self-directed Saturn in Leo. Blissful Jupiter will be at its critical 29th degree, poised to move joyously into its own sign, Sagittarius, on November 24th. Sun/Moon/Jupiter in Scorpio are conjunct a heart-opening and amazingly generous, Venus in Sagittarius. It's almost like a victory march of the planets through these last few degrees of Scorpio. And hopefully the intensity of ritual work that usually characterizes a New Moon in Scorpio will be accompanied by a feeling of coming home to our essential goodness.

However, the trine to the North Node in Pisces reminds us that this is night to commit to truth-telling with compassion and love. Use a mirror in your ritual. There are many great teachers of power to be found in the plant, animal, and spirit worlds. Seek their wisdom and their healing energy in your ritual. They will be your guides as you peel back the layers of fear and false pretense to arrive at the stark naked truths of your life.
But please don't leave yourself hanging in the dark depths! Scorpio rules death and rebirth and New Moons are always a time of new beginnings. Active rebirth from the womb of wisdom is a pivotal part of this ritual; you are not done until this has been completed. It is important to rest after your journey within. Calm and soothe yourself with a hot bath, sit in front of a fire and have a light snack. Use this time to reflect on the truths and the lessons you were shown. When you are rested, go back to your ritual area and give yourself time to document your journey. If you need to, call back your spirit guides to help you in this process. Write down or create a visual representation of the wisdom you received and clearly delineate newly conceived goals or action plans.
