Good day Knowflakes...

This was the description that got me interested in starting a discussion thread about our Imum Coeli, the reason why I chose this house is because its the SOUL, so CENTERFOLD of our chart, EXCITING, yes I know....
The Fourth House
Home Life and the Base of Operation
The fourth house of the chart is your base of operation; in a material sense, your home, in a more spiritual sense, your soul. Psychological roots, including family or racial traditions, are among the affairs of this house. It is associated with real estate and property, or your home and your security.

...if anyone can find anything else interesting and worth while about the IC, just post away.

Well this house is where I have my stellium,
IC sagittarius,
sun, venus, mercury, & uranus (with juno and lilith going along for the ride).

Hey,
IC-Libra
I have Pluto and Saturn in 4th house.
Pluto and Saturn are in Scorpio, tho.
Also have a YOD,
Pluto sextile Neptune, they inconjuct Chiron with apex to Chiron-Mars opposition.
I read somewhere that a YOD means 'the finger of God'. If IC tells about the soul, then what this aspect could tell me about my soul ? Good post Neptune5. Thanks.

Pluto conjunct Libra IC by less than 1 degree, plus Jupiter in Scorp in the 4th.

Ive read about Pluto 4th house wanting a grave thats hidden, or somewhere out of sight. For me, I dont want a marker of any kind..cremated and then have my ashes thrown over either a garden that is one of my favorite places, or on the coast of the city where I was born.

I do realized from experiences that attraction isn't merely a moon, venus or mars or 7th house or 5th house aspects. They do matter to a certain extend i guess... but the men i am always attracted to and whom i'm comfortable with all have capricon traits. I guess due to that i have capricon in my 4th house... and those who broke my heart all have venus in capricon. sighz.

I think you are right Ling about the 4th house. The 4th house as has been mentioned is to do with the home and your past. 4th house placements in your chart by your partner can be quite psychic and also to do with setting up home and being incredibly familiar with them.

My IC sits on Cancer. I have nothing conj it except Sirius but I do have Saturn in the 4th. Indicates I guess a homely home with older parents. Many say it indicates an absent father but I disagree. I would say that my past was rather stark, although I was materialistically provided, I felt that I didn't have many life experiences. I guess it was a childhood raised on my parents' culture, I was taught not really to embrace or be interested in others'. I'm making it up with my jupiter placement.

I have Pluto conj. IC by a wide orb (can't remember off-hand except maybe 7 or 8 degs). I'm not sure how "Plutonic" my soul actually is. I don't think I'm obsessed with power, but regeneration might be a relevant key word.

Going on a tangent... I thought the Pluto/IC/cremation thing was interesting. I've never liked the idea of coffins, gravestones, cemeteries, etc. . Cremation for me too.

Interesting thread indeed I have Uranus in my fourth in Virgo, and the interpretations say I'm bound to have an unusual home, or home life. Well, that hasn't happened so far, so I don't know. But I'm quite independent- have been living on my own for the last 13 years- and am quite particular about my space and people sharing my house. The interesting thing is, my ex boyfriend had a stellium in my fourth house,(his Sun, Asc, Mercury, Uranus and Pluto- his Sun Mercury conjunction was actually right on my Uranus)and I felt incredibly comfortable and familiar with him in the house and actuaally wanted to set up home with him- sigh He was like family. Maybe it was the Sun-Uranus conjunction that was unstable, but I certainly felt very much at home with him.

I have Jupiter conjunct IC in the 4th and Ive read this interpretations before...

quote:
Jupiter in the Fourth House: will either be the parents favorite or a spoiled only child. This placement is the most likely of all to retire in their 20’s or 30’s and lie on the beach in some tropical paradise. If you have this one, I hate you. You really need a larger than normal home (or one with a great view) or you’ll feel claustrophobic. Later in life, you will tend to travel, study, or both. Aside from the fact that he thought he understood everything, Daddy was a jovial type.

I hate to admit it but I think I was/am my dad's fav ...though I dont think I was spoiled as much my brothers were. I think it's a father son thing. Im sure they could attest to that. I dont see my self retiring anytime soon...though I wish. Im only starting out...I view the work I do as more of a learning experience than as a career. I still live with my family...wondering if I'll ever move out (i did for like 5 years when I was in school)...I like it too much here, but some days I do feel I need my space, and i should start my own life. I have a big family but the house isnt at all big enough for all of us...Id feel claustrophobic if I didnt have a room in the basement. I will travel soonly, and Im always studying even if Im not in school. Yes dad was a jovial type, also the constant cranky, complaining and critisizing type...enough c's there?

My IC is in Virgo and the only thing I have conjuncting it is Juno. I've actually always wondered about that...the meaning of Juno sitting on top of my IC.

DD,

It has some of the same qualities

here:
Fourth House
Jupiter residing in the fourth house shows that the planet plays an important part shaping a devotion to home and family and often the receipt of help from parents well beyond the formative years. You gain a great deal from the influence of your parents, especially your mother. Because of early circumstances, you may enjoy many social and educational advantages. This position also suggests that the latter half of life will be full and fortunate. The fourth house describes circumstances in the late life, and Jupiter is the planet of expansion and good fortune.

Sagittarius
Sagittarius influences affairs of the home suggesting a strong urge to control and direct family matters. Jupiter, the planet denoting optimism and expansion, rules this area of your chart. This planet often brings a large, even opulent environment. Your goal in life is to do right by your family because of a philosophical sense of responsibility. The obligation to family is one of doing right in family matters. You hold high the meaning of the family unit in society. Morality is at the deepest roots of your nature. With Jupiter ruling the fourth house, the latter portion of your life will be very beneficial. You'll get wealthier as you grow older, both in material ways and in spiritual ways.
