Just thought I'd share, ¡°Venus Signs Her Survey¡± by Liza Ziara from The Mountain Astrologer.

¡°For years, I have enjoyed Dana Gerhardt¡¯s insightful writings in The Mountain Astrologer. When I saw that she was inviting readers to participate in research for her upcoming book about Venus, I jumped at the chance. After completing my answers, I began to imagine how Venus through signs might respond to the creative, detailed questionnaire.

Venus in Aries: Put my survey at the top of your pile. It¡¯s smokin¡¯. Hope you¡¯ll get this book done quick, I can¡¯t wait! I have great idea about how you can start a whole new biz doing these things. Call me soon. Gotta go¡¦

Venus in Taurus: I¡¯ve taken a little extra time over this one, but I¡¯m loving it. I¡¯ve even turned it into an evening ritual! I just slip under the satin sheets with a pint full of cream Caramel Haagen-Dazs (never skimp on the good stuff) and just think through my answers. Venus rules!

Venus in Gemini: txt. msg: srvy awsm got it on laptp. emailng answrs back. do u. have inst. mssnger? Wbcst? lts talk! im onlne now!!!

Venus in Cancer: Hi, sweetie, you did a great job with the survey. Please don¡¯t tire yourself out by doing too much or working too hard. I¡¯ve sent you a little care package of goodies along with the survey. I answered as many as I could, except for a few of the questions, which seemed a little too private. Much love.

Venus in Leo: Dana! you must have had me in mind when you came up with these questions! Absolutely Fab!!!!!! I¡¯m having a marvelous time dictating my answers to my terrific personal assistant, Kat!!!. She¡¯ll have it back to you ASAP. Feel free to use any of my answers, and of course, don¡¯t hesitate to use my name!

Venus in Virgo: Although qualitative data can lead to effective research results, studies have shown that quantitative data, preferably from well-designed double-blind studies, is more accurate. I would be glad to design and/or assist in any quantitative research you might choose to implement. On line three of section two, you have used a comma when a semi-colon is technically correct. Just thought you¡¯d like to know. I enjoyed the process.

Venus in Libra: My biggest dilemma was that I couldn¡¯t make up my mind about some of my answers. I realized that so much about my sensuality depends on which partner I¡¯m with. I showed what I wrote to Dave, Marty, and Julio, and we reached a consensus about me while we all dined at a lovely little romantic hideaway in the wine country.

Venus in Scorpio: I detected a bit of bias against sex workers in your survey, Dana. You know, there¡¯s nothing at all wrong with S&M among consenting adults. And along those lings, I did a little digging into your background, and some things didn¡¯t match up. Is your name really Dana? And I find it odd that you¡¯re putting out this survey at the same that the whole truth about the NSA is coming out. Want to explain?

Venus in Sagittarius: I hope this survey reaches you by July 10th. I¡¯m on the road again, so I had to send it to Fed Ex. This time, I¡¯m going to a Buddhist retreat run by a great former nun who was an Olympic sharpshooter. Cool, huh? I should learn a lot from her. Your survey made me think about finishing up that master¡¯s degree in Tantric Philosophy I¡¯ve been putting off. Maybe distance learning, right? Ciao.

Venus in Capricorn: Your challenging survey was an invaluable resource. Each step of the way, I found something worthwhile. I¡¯ve made it crystal clear to my husband that in order to keep working toward our love goals, he must take part in the survey process. I¡¯m considering making participation in your research mandatory for my employees. Let me know if this would be beneficial to your project. I await your reply.

Venus in Aquarius: although I usually hate surveys --- they¡¯re so cookie cutter and confining --- i really dug yours. i have to say it gave me plenty of room to be myself. it was timely too. since i¡¯ve been working my ass off on this gay marriage issue, i was thinking a lot about individual ways venus expresses her unique needs. can you believe it? is it anyone¡¯s goddam business who loves who? those fascist idiots! anyway¡¦ liked it a lot. you¡¯re really contributing something, girl. keep on fighting!

Venus in Pisces: I¡¯m not done yet with this beautiful survey, but I will try to get it to you soon. I¡¯m just letting my answers flow, so it¡¯s hard to tell you when it will be finished. Sometimes I ask for help from some of my wonderful 12-step friends. I hope that¡¯s okay with you. Your survey inspire me to write a poem: Dreaming, drifting in the water of love / The moonlight drips sweet drops from above / Venus rises from the sea / embracing you, embracing me."

Enjoy!

I like Venus in Virgo. My friend thought about *breaking up* with his girl as if it were a business transaction.
'I've scheduled our severance for June of 2006. It has been a splendid four-year partnership...'
He told me this last January. Funny, he just got promoted (at his job ... credit card company).
