Do you have Venus/Mars?
I love you.
You understand my loneliness,
my desire to connect with someone -
anyone, it hardly matters.
God bless you ravenously sociable souls.
You understand the impulse
behind this naive gesture.

Love

My spouse has this in Leo 8th house--he can be a bit egomaniacal in close relationship.

Lily I know someone like that!! Total diva, but equally charismatic and generous…and encouraging, supportive - basically all the good stuff in Leo…and some of the bad

Yes my spouse is evry well liked and a generous person, not stingy at all. He's not very sexy though or even sexually focused which seems odd for a venus mars conjunct in leo 8th house! But hey maybe its that 12th house Saturn sitting its big fat heavy arse on his ascendant!

Yikes!
Well, then, I love Hitler, too
(even with that Saturn in Leo
squaring his mars/venus conjunction).
Maybe if he'd gotten love
he would have used that aspect
to accomplish as much for good
as he accomplished for evil.

I love this aspect.
Especially in Venus-friendly signs,
but even in Scorpio and Aries
it is usually delightful.

David Helfgott,
the pianist from "Shine"
has it in Aries.

You're welcome, aqua inferno.

Thanks, Libraschoice7.
Very sweet of you to tell me that.

Thanks, 'Zala!

Dulce Luna,
maybe if he'd gotten it from his mom and dad,
in his formative years,
he wouldnt have looked to his "fatherland".
Who knows.
There are plenty of things that contribute
to a person's character.
The only real problem with that Mars/Venus,
is that his Saturn was able to square them
both at the same time!
Ouch!

Yeah well I guess you could right about that. Anyways I do know someone else with this placement although I would hardly call them romantic...more like "physical" which is not my idea of romance to tell you the truth. Sex is all they would ever talk about, it was soooo annoying .

Mine's together with my Sun forming a stellium in Aries, all within the same degree.

I feel like a giant, walking fireball all the time.

Can't decide whether it's a blessing or curse.

I'm scared now. I have the same aspects as Hitler?!?!

I too have Venus conjunct Mars squared by Saturn in Leo. Did he have Venus/Mars in Taurus? I do, in the 12th house, and Saturn squares them from the 4th.

Ugh. That's really scary.

I have a lot of the same aspects as Hitler too. (He has Venus in Taurus too, at least.) It's depressing.

If my memory serves me right, Hitler doesn't have any water signs so that may be one of the factors. Anyway back to the topic, I don't have the aspect but I knew 6 people with that in Aries, Virgo, Libra and Leo, the thing that all of them have in common (from my observation) is that they are not afraid to go for what they want and they are very affectionate and open.

Why do you allow to impress and depress you by such small details? My God, you are allowed to have aspects like Hitler, Stalin or G.W.Bush, and still you can be a wonderful person.

Hitler's Saturn was in the 10th (Leo Midheaven).
His Venus/Mars conjunction
was in the 7th house of open enemies,
as was his Sun (ruler of the MC).

As always,
a chart must be viewed as a whole,
and, even then, there are unknowns.
I dont believe this suggests the presence of free will,
but, rather, that there are influences, traits, etc.,
which are not evident in the birth chart alone,
or, if they are in there,
are only indentifiable to expert astrologers,
taking into account the fixed stars,
decans, duads, and a hundred other things.

Well I, for one, am still a big believer in free will. We aren't walking, talking charts and Hitler is the perfect example (although you have a point about saturn squaring this conjunction). Anything can be overcome in a chart...especially when other enviromental things like culture, childhood background, or whatever factors into a person.

For instance, alot of people in my mom's family have strong significant Aqua/uranus placements in their chart and they're still very conservative in alot of aspects of their lives. One of them is my aunt with an Aqua Stellium. I blame this on the culture we were brought up in.

I am definitely a believer in free will. I always stress free will in readings. That's why I was angry that somebody had the nerve to assume that I was one of those astrologers who judge people based on old astrology textbooks. I don't need books to interpret charts. I use my mind. I can think for myself. Even the neuropsychologist said that my high scores in block design and list generation to a sound cue which require complex and strategic thinking suggest that I have some well-developed mental skills. These definitely can help me with chart synthesis and interpretation. I suck at calculating a chart though.

But yeah....I have a t-square that involves Neptune, I am not a drug addict, alcoholic, nor into believing in things easily which a lot of astrologers focus as challenging Neptune as being.

I don't have Venus conjunct Mars, but I do have Venus square Mars. I am not a person who needs a lot of sex nor an aggressive person in love/relationships.
