From www.astrology.com:

** Your Starcast for November 22-December 20 **

With the Sun into gregarious Sag, adventure is all but guaranteed ... and the friendly good times keep rolling later this astrological month, as Mercury joins the Archer's party. Indeed, celebration will be the order of the day as two planetary retrogrades -- Mercury's and Mars's -- come to an end. Keep reading for the full scoop on this thrill-seeking, inhibition-dropping month!

November 22: The Sun enters Sagittarius

Sagittarius, the explorer, is the premier travel sign. Your desire to improve your life and to branch out into new areas is strong. Take the energy and enthusiasm of this sign to break out of old routines. You are likely to be in a questioning mode as Sag is also known for being quite philosophical. Ask yourself some of the bigger questions about the meaning of life and what your place and purpose in it is all about. You will receive some interesting answers. It's time to be inspired -- and inspiring!

November 23: Jupiter enters Sagittarius

Jupiter spends one year in a sign, taking 12 years to transit through all 12 signs. As this big planet enters the sign of the explorer, it's time to dust off your travel gear. You are ready for an adventure; you are ready to ramble and roam. Pay attention to your needs for independence, your freedom related urges, your restlessness, and where and how you want to strike out in new directions. Plan that vacation you've been dreaming about; enroll in classes that broaden your knowledge; get a pen pal from another country. Whatever you do, get outside of your own neighborhood! There's a big world out there. It's time to venture out into it.

November 28: Mercury squares Neptune

When Mercury turned direct on November 17, it started heading once again to the square with Neptune. This continues to be a time when pinning down anything can feel like trying to hold water with your fingers! Do yourself a favor and use this time to listen to what is being said. Are you blocking out something you would benefit by knowing? Take off your rose-colored glasses so you can see what's really going on. Pay attention to the details and you'll be fine.

November 28: Mars squares Saturn

Sometimes the answer is just 'no.' This square marks a time where what you want to do meets the rules of the world or a person in a position of authority making it necessary to seek alternatives. Something needs to be taken into account before you can proceed. Don't push since delays may ultimately be helpful to you. Hard work is a keyword for this transit. Just because things don't come easily is not a reason to give up. Keep your eye on the ball; stop and regroup as necessary. You'll see more forward movement at the end of the week.

December 2 into 3: Sun squares Uranus

Are you feeling restless, like some changes in your life would not be such a bad thing? As the freedom-oriented Sun in Sagittarius meets Uranus, the planet of independence, it's time for you to shake things up. Get out of your old routines; meet new people; check out a movie you wouldn't ordinarily see; call someone you haven't spoken to in awhile. You get the idea. Don't suppress your naturally healthy desire for change. It will lead you in new interesting directions.

December 4: Full Moon in Gemini

Gemini, the data collector, loves to exchange information, so get ready during this full Moon for ringing phones, lots of email and plenty of IMing back and forth. It seems like everybody has something to say! But watch for information overload. Erratic Uranus squares this full Moon, making last-minute changes in plans likely. Do yourself a favor and be flexible. Emotions are heightened during full Moon periods anyway, and with this Uranus energy in the mix, you may feel extra frazzled. However, this is a great time to socialize. If you're not busy you could get restless or bored, so make sure to spend time chatting with your favorite people.

This full Moon will most affect those born December 3-7, March 1-5, June 1-5 and September 3-7.

December 5: Saturn turns retrograde

Saturn turns retrograde once a year, giving us time to review our lives and make sure that what we're aiming for is still what we want. (Retrogrades are always about going back over territory you've already been through.) This retrograde period will last until April 19, 2007. Saturn represents our responsibilities, our rules for living, how we construct our lives, and where we need to put our boundaries. There are areas of your life now where it will be important to step back, review and see how you can support yourself more effectively. Facing limitations and ending of old ways of living may be a part of this time.

December 5: Mars enters Sagittarius

Do you feel restless? Are you ready for an adventure? No wonder! As Mars, the planet of action, transits through Sagittarius, the travel sign, leave behind your day-to-day routines and get your passport up-to-date, because it's definitely time to journey out of your comfort zone. Whether you get on a bike, a plane or roller blades, make sure you use this dynamic energy to go somewhere. What is the most important now is to travel outside of your own neighborhood, both literally and metaphorically, to really enjoy this transit lasting until January 16, 2007.

December 8: Mercury enters Sagittarius

Mercury in fiery, outspoken Sagittarius loves to preach! You'll have lots of thoughts and ideas you'll want to talk about. Although there can be a tendency to blurt out whatever is on your mind, nothing beats this placement for enthusiasm and an optimistic frame of mind. Be tactful but inspiring to get the most out of this transit. Because Sagittarius is a sign that represents any culture or country foreign to you, this is a great time to sign up for a language class.

December 11: Venus enters Capricorn

As Venus, the planet of love, enters let's-get-down-to-business Capricorn, your attention shifts away from free-wheeling Sagittarius. This is a wonderful time to invest tangibly in your important relationships. Capricorn is a sign that encourages you to take yourself seriously. So, if you are single and want a partner, take that important step to meet someone. Go to a lecture where like-minded people will be; if you like to cook, attend a cooking class. If you are already in a relationship, show up in a great way. What could you do to advance the relationship or to express the depth of your feelings? Be practical and ambitious. This is all about the real deal. So, put the energy into building the relationship that brings happiness.

December 11: Mars conjuncts Jupiter in Sagittarius

When Mars, the warrior, conjuncts expansive Jupiter, you'll feel like there is little that you can't do. This is a classic overdoing aspect. Think of Jupiter as a magnifying glass that intensifies anything it comes in contact with. Mars, the planet of action, expanded gives exceptional energy that you can use to help you get the liftoff you need for your projects and goals. You are likely to have lots of irons in the fire, and at some point you'll have to pick and choose, but not yet.

December 16: Sun trines Saturn

Want a raise? Are you ready for a promotion? There are times in life when you have a great sense of the bigger picture and where you fit into the scheme of things. You don't overreach, yet neither do you undersell yourself. When the Sun trines Saturn, you get the support you need. The Sun is always in a sustained trine to Saturn as he retrogrades like he did last week. This is such a potent supportive influence, even as you are regrouping, to see what you want to achieve.

December 18: Sun conjuncts Pluto in Sagittarius

This is quite an intense conjunction and is prominent in the new Moon that occurs on December 20. You are prompted to let go of old beliefs and ideas that may have seemed quite valid up until now. This is a new cycle providing you with a fresh start. If you know your chart, look to see where this powerful conjunction takes place. That house is where your power base is, and if you don't get in the driver's seat, someone else may step in to take charge. So, if you want to be the director of your life, you'd better get in the director's chair!

December 20: New Moon in Sagittarius

The symbol for Sagittarius is the centaur, who shoots his arrow toward the stars and, when it lands, retrieves it to take aim once again. What are you aiming for? Where do you want to travel? Tune into your need for freedom, movement and exploration. Enthusiasm and an optimistic outlook will help you move beyond the familiar, which in turn will create success. On this journey, change your beliefs if necessary to reflect who you are now. Because Pluto sits right next to this new Moon, intensity and power issues are ratcheted up and you may feel that there is a lot at stake. Although this intensity can drive people to extremes, take a deep breath and let go of what you can't control. Beginning something during a new Moon gives energy and power to whatever you are striving for. This is the time to put extra energy and intention into whatever you want to grow or become stronger and more important in your life. The power of the new Moon phase is in effect until the full Moon.

This new Moon will most affect those born December 18-22, March 17-21, June 18-22 and September 19-23.

Enjoy the Sun's transit of Sagittarius!

Thank you for putting this up, Zala.

But I`m a little bit afraid now.
There will be a Sun-Pluto-conjunction exactly on my birthday (18th) and a new moon two days after that.
What does that mean?

Oh, I am willing to share some of my exciting transits.

Which one do you want to have?

Uranus exactly conjunc jupiter, my chartruler?
Or Neptune, which sits exactly on my Moon, making me dream so vividly?
Or Pluto, the old fellow, which decided he would visit my Sun and Mercury in 1st house and now gets stuck exactly on them?

Phew, and I thought, it was an exciting time, when Uranus was conjunct my Moon and juptier opposite my Venus. HA, what an unknowing fool I have been!

However, take what you need or want; I have had my share of turbulences and excitement, and could use a little bit rest.

The Astrology of Baron Samadhi von Coppockalypse, PHD

November 20th-26th

Volume 68: Guru Mutation

A week full of change. On the surface, things get better. The Sun enters Sagittarius on Wednesday, and Jupiter does the same on Friday. This follows the movement of Venus into Sagittarius last Friday, Mercury turning direct, and Uranus also assuming direct motion. This slew of changes is consolidated by the New Moon in Scorpio on Monday, which consumes the pain of the last 4 weeks and resets the stage for a very different month. It's not so much that we've emerged from darkness into light, as much we've attained the required understandings and energy to negotiate the terrain.

The Sun's shift into Sagittarius is a mere click on its monthly journey from sign to sign, but Jupiter's ingress into Sagittarius is significant. Unlike the Sun, Jupiter takes an entire year to traverse a Sign. The change in energy that Jupiter's movement into Sagittarius indicates is one that will be with us until December 2007, when it moves into Capricorn. Like all of the planets, Jupiter has a finger in a great number of pies. The hand that connects those fingers is concerned with distributing wisdom, fortune, and fuel for growth. Jupiter's effect is often likened to that of a benevolent deity, God in his "Christmas presents for all of the good children" mode. The sign of Jupiter indicates what activities intersect with these rays of benevolence and growth.

Jupiter has, for the last year, been in Scorpio, offering wisdom and jewels scraped from the underbelly of the beast. Benefits from capillary action, traversing the channels through which blood and life flow. Insider information, contacts higher up in the power structures, and ways around obstacles. Jupiter in Scorpio has brought external benefits via energy exchange within the scaffolding of power. On a personal level, Jupiter in Scorpio has exposed the underbelly of intentions, ours and others alike. It presented horror as a teaching device. The wisdom of the dark side, the Buddhist practice of meditating upon corpses, of living in graveyards. The teacher has filled the chalkboard with diagrams explaining the economy of loss and the gains of liberation.

A tight grand cross has paralyzed and problematized this transformation throughout the year, making the lessons more difficult than they might otherwise be. This last month saw the final and most powerful arrangement of planets' grand-cross, finalizing the knotty complex of conflicting problems in the direction of mandatory transformation. The conflicts are as many as there are people, but the dynamic can be seen most clearly in the macrocosm through the reorganization of the United States House and Senate. Since Jupiter moved into Scorpio the darkside of the administration has become daily news. Corruption scandals, Katrina, Cheney, mounting casualties, war-time blogs, and continuing instability have all been exposed as calls for transformation under the distant light of Jupiter in Scorpio.

The questions that have been played out on a large scale are as important internally. Have you ceased supporting ceased supporting pointless wars? Have you made plans to withdraw your time, energy, and money from fruitless conflicts? Do you have the equivalent of a health care project to re-invest in?

Jupiter's movement into Sagittarius is the first page of another chapter. Unlike inverted Jupiter Scorpio, which finds gain in the ashes of loss and generosity in destruction, Jupiter in Sagittarius teaches more pleasant lessons. Those of excess. Jupiter operates naturally in Sagittarius, finding it a household excited to be at its beck and call. Here, Jupiter creates growth, opportunities, and excitement. The teachings, travel opportunities and obvious growth of Jupiter in Sagittarius all spring to life in the graveyard footprints of Jupiter in Scorpio.

Mercury's Retro Update: The Valley of the Shadow of Thoth

After a final week full of problematic surprises, Mercury is no longer Retrograde, having assumed direct motion last Friday, the 17th. Although Mercury is no longer Retrograde, it is still considered to be within the shadow of the Retrograde until December 6th. The mental level during this period of time will focus on fixing all of the technical errors, botched communications, misunderstandings, transportation difficulties, and disconnected services that have plagued the collective for the last month or so. Though new problems are of this sort are not likely to arise, we still have some important gates to pass before we pass back into the clear.

Jupiter-in-Sag-o-Scopes

Unlike the grim and terrible Saturn Claus, Jupiter brings bonuses for everyone. The greater benefic's movement into Sagittarius brings blessings for the beleagured tribes of the Zodiac. Here's something to be grateful for as you pray to the hot carcass of the slain turkey god this Thanksgiving.

FIRE – PLASMA – ENTHUSIASM – POWER – ILLUSION - WANDS

Aries: The Ram

The passing of Jupiter into Sagittarius bodes well for Aries. Having been oppressed by the demands of Saturn in Leo for over a year now, and unsupported by Jupiter in Scorpio, Aries has been an embattled wavelength. Jupiter's passing into a Sagittarius, a friendly-fire sign, will lend the support necessary to meet the standards you've set yourself to. Fortuitous indeed.

Leo: The Lion

Jupiter in Sagittarius is a fine thing for Leos. After what was, for many Leos, a torturous year, Jupiter in Sagittarius brings a much appreciated expansion into your life. Increased creativity, extended opportunities to showcase it, as well as the blessing of bountiful booty all come with its benefic embrace.

Sagittarius: The Centaur

Are you ready? The Baron's not. The passing of Jupiter into Sagittarius brings outrageous fortune to the doorsteps of unworthy Sagittarians everywhere. Your deeply held belief that you are, in fact, the incarnate version of some deity that happens to look exactly like you will be validated, to the chagrin of all. Sagittarius, do your best to make everyone remember that the fact that God loves you is really just his way of hating everyone else.

EARTH – SOLIDS – THINGS – BODIES – SLAVES – FOOD - COINS

Capricorn: The Goat

Jupiter's abundance in Sagittarius will be teaching you stern lessons in what you have not done to achieve success. The flash and positivity you'll see from old Jove in Sag is a lesson on what you're missing in your formula for success. This year will see you climbing out of the self inflicted pit you've cast yourself into before finding your flavor of success.

Taurus: The Bull

Jupiter's movement into Sag heralds the end of its opposition to your Sun. The method of growth through decay, release, and change in Scorpio may have forced you to create necessary changes in the way you deal with people, but it was by no means pleasant. This process continues, though on a more positive note, throughout the year to come. Gain from inheritance of some kind may be a recurring theme, and entrepeneurship, especially involving technology, is favored as well.

Virgo: The Virgin

Changes in aqaintances made over the last year begin to bear fruit as your foundations are watered with fire and excitement. Your gravitation toward the brilliant and insane becomes a more fertile ground for beneficial partnerships of all types. Go with it, just don't spend all your money. You'll need it.

AIR – VAPORS - THNKERS - LOVERS - DIVISORS - SWORDS

Libra: The Scales

Some joy in a widened circle of acquaintances may be offset by your still pending psychological diagnosis and what may be a rather over-extended financial state. You will not be leaving the dark side for a while. But don't worry. You won't be alone. Put some nice curtains up in your corner of hell and invite some friends over to ponder the aesthetic of broken things.

Aquarius: The Water-Bearer

Adding a little bit of spirit and fire to the mental test-tube you've confined your dreams may be just the right thing to bring them to life. Consider sending your Frankenstein creations out into the workforce in order to earn their keep. Daddy needs a new pair of test-tubes.

Gemini: The Twins

New and uncompromising wisdom coming into your life will challenge you to unify your thoughts into a vision. That vision is a mission. The mission is creative madness. You have the Baron's permission to unleash this crawling chaos into your professional dreams. It will mutate them for the better.

WATER – LIQUIDS – SEA MONSTERS – SAVIORS - HEARTS - CUPS

Cancer: The Crab

Jupiter in Sagittarius brings to you the tools to remove a negative circumstances. Nagging problems in the realm of health and finances can be alleviated. Involvement with learning institutions as well as unexpected travels contribute to an abruptly evolving life philosophy.

Scorpio: The Scorpion

Steps towards personal growth you've made this year retreat into the background as financial and work concerns become the location of activity. Expanding finances form the platform for a more authentically individual life-style.

Pisces: The Fishes

Although Jupiter in Scorpio filled your heart and head with all sort of fine ideas and dark wisdoms, the uproarious and extroverted nature of Jupiter and Sagittarius will do far more to put you in the power seat. Your creative and original take on things is ready to expand far beyond your circle of friends and chosen elite. Of all Zodiacal types, you are in the finest place to benefit from Jupiter this year. Just don't tell Sagittarius.

YAY.. my b-day is the 16th and I have Sun trine Saturn in my natal chart as it is and the Sun will be conjuncting my Sun/ Venus sending happy vibes to my natal Saturn and Transiting Saturn.

I already have T-Pluto on my sun... so I am thinking 12/18 will be like a Sag Sun / Pluto sandwich LOL.... Should be interesting.

From Yasmin Boland, for tomorrow ~

"Wednesday December 13 - Moon into Libra at 9pm AEDT

The healing planetoid Chiron is once again highlighted - this time
by Mercury. Chiron is so often about the 'talking cure' - eg: the
healing and relief you feel when you share how you feel, or you say
you're sorry or you let someone know how much you care.

Chiron is also the planetoid that urges us to admit where we're
upset, and why. Linked to Mercury today, it's the perfect moment to
unburden yourself. Don't feel silly.

The Moon in balanced Libra means people will be striving more than
usual for harmony, making it easier to discuss differences."

This is going to be a nutty new moon in sagittarius. it's going to be next to pluto in sagittarius which is currently conjunct my uranus in sagittarius. it's also going to be conjunct my natal moon in sagittarius and my saturn. this is all in my 3rd house. and before that the sun/pluto conjunction is going to be conjunct my uranus in sag.

it's also going to be the starting point of the three months before my new solar return, which three months is what i've read which is the marking point for a lot of people when it comes to their new solar return.. weird events relating to their next year will sometimes happen exactly three months before their new solar return.

i'm predicting craziness. i'm going to be driving home the day of the new moon until after christmas, which once again i find interesting because i only go back home on either full or new moons. i don't plan it that way, either.

the last time there was a full moon and i was in my hometown my friend and i were driving back to school that night. the moon was conjunct my mars in the 8th. her car broke down on the way back and i had to shell out half of the payment. i was incredibly wired, stressed out and depressed for the following couple of weeks and my body shut down. then mercury and uranus went direct and our house got robbed by some hitch hikers....

WOW. so now i'm terribly frightened of the effects and after effects of this, hopefully it's a good thing.. of course. i figure the more i worry i might end up just making it bad when it shouldn't be. i'm a little excited too. anyone else think they're going to have a crazy new moon?

Cosmic Calendar, Thurs Dec 14 ~

The continuation of Libra Moon gives you the chance to improve the quality of key partnerships. Social and cultural gatherings can be a rich source of creative inspiration and personal fulfillment. This is amplified by a subtle, 30-degree link (12:48PM PST) between the two benefic planets - Venus and Jupiter. Experiment with a digital or video camera as the Moon in Libra makes a harmonious trine pattern with Neptune in Aquarius (1:52PM PST). The big challenge during Libra Moon is a tendency to sit on a fence watching the world go by and miss out on golden opportunities coming your way. Strive to empower yourself - particularly as the Moon makes its monthly union with Juno (3:06PM PST). Be the picture of human kindness, sensitivity and understated diplomacy while engaged in delicate business negotiations. Remember President Teddy Roosevelt's famous adage to "walk softly but carry a big stick." If you are beginning to feel more nervous and rattled, you are probably picking up on tomorrow's contentious Mercury-Uranus battle in the zodiac. Hit the metaphysical, astrological and scientific books tonight instead of creating a ruckus with friends or dear ones. Safety and security issues are a top priority as Venus in Capricorn aligns with Vesta in Scorpio (exact at 2:11AM PST tomorrow).

Cosmic Calendar, Sunday Dec 17 ~

"A red alert sounds beginning today since one of the biggest alignments of the year occurs tomorrow morning. On Monday, the Sun and Pluto reach their annual rendezvous. It is a connection that occurs extremely close to what is known as our galactic center in Sagittarius. The stakes are very high in terms of advancement along many fronts or losing faith and direction. While the most important time occurs tomorrow morning, you have an excellent chance to focus your attention and tap into higher willpower ahead of schedule. Trampling on the feelings of friends, associates and family members is out; sensitivity to everyone in your circle of acquaintances is in. The Moon in Scorpio magnifies the above suggestions to an extreme degree. The most creative and artistic time of the day happens close to a subtle, 30-degree link between Venus in Capricorn and Mars in Sagittarius (10:18AM PST). Give loved ones pats on the back and extra strokes this evening when Ceres in Aquarius makes a rare sextile to Pluto in Sagittarius (8:10PM PST). A major impediment to forward progress can be a long void lunar cycle - starting at 3:33PM PST (during a frictional Moon-Saturn square) and ending tomorrow morning at 1:11AM PST. Making up for this uncertainty on the lunar horizon are two splendid, spiritualizing sky patterns - Sun-Neptune and Mercury-Chiron septile contacts in the zodiac (exact at 12:57AM PST and 2:51AM PST tomorrow, respectively). Visualization exercises, affirmations and meditations can strengthen your self-confidence tonight."

Cosmic Calendar, Monday Dec 18 ~

"The Moon enters Sagittarius (1:11AM PST) and provides a noticeable emotional relief after several days of slogging through the subterranean waters of intensive Scorpio. However, just as there is a major increase in ebullience and enthusiasm, your high hopes can be dashed if you make a wrong move. Such a wrong move can happen close to the exact time of the annual Sun-Pluto union in Sagittarius (6:39AM PST). Now that you know this can be a time for problems and difficulties, you can deliberately cultivate an optimistic mind-set to ward off the blues. Sun-Pluto conjunctions are notorious for coinciding with an upsurge in extremism, volatility and underworld explosions. These can happen personally, in relationships, and out in society. No one is immune to this potential for self-destruction and the risk is significant since this Sun-Pluto alignment occurs in league with the center of our galaxy of billions of stars. Nevertheless, the most positive expression will be to have a laser-like concentration and desire to be an emissary of goodwill throughout humanity. If you can conquer old fears and steer clear of egocentric attitudes, success and good fortune await you - courtesy of the monthly Moon-Jupiter union in Sagittarius (11:25AM PST). A mini-version of the Sun-Pluto blockbuster occurs at 6:25PM PST during the monthly Moon-Mars union. This latter liaison is short-lived and yet carries a fiery fuse. Don't project anger onto loved ones. Enjoy gymnastics or a game of darts, pool or bowling to safely let out your pent-up emotions. Romance may receive the big chill tonight from a Venus-Saturn 135-degree link (8:09PM PST). Accept the status-quo in affairs of the heart and avoid power trips that can backfire."
