This chart is perhaps an indication.

I'm not sure if this birth time is entirely accurate, since its been a while since I read his Autohagiography.

Well, if you're not only looking for well-known occultist, then you could take a look at
my chart
. I'm not exactly Aleister Crowley though (perhaps a good thing...? ), even though he is a fellow Libra who also has north node in 9th conjunct Midheaven and Chiron retrograde in 10th - if that is his birth time I mean. Personally I have South node in Scorpio conjunct Pluto, so apparently I might have done something occult-related in past lives, and opposite that I have Lilith and North node in 9th conjunct Midheaven. Also Moon in 8th is said to draw a person into mysticism.

It would be nice if other occultists/witches would also post their charts here, we could compare a bit.

Aleister Crowley crossed lines and was too dark (scary) for me but still a good chart to study

How about Rasputin for a mystic?

I believe Astrology is an occult science. I believe that numerology and tarot are occult too. I have studied numerology and am interested in tarot. I have Arthurian Legend tarot deck. A lot of occultists like to keep their activites to themselves. I don't tell fundamentalist religious types nor mental health professionals about how deep my interest in occult actually goes.

my indicators for occult:
Sun in Scorpio in 2nd/near 3rd house cusp
Sun contraparallel Pluto
Mercury in Scorpio in 3rd
Venus in Scorpio in 3rd
Pluto in 1st
Neptune in 3rd
Moon in Pisces
Moon square Neptune - 1'23
Moon quincunx Pluto - 2'20
Moon conjunct 8th house ruler(Mars)- 7'17
Uranus trine Midheaven - 4'04
Chiron in 8th sextile Midheaven - '42
Sun conj true Black Moon Lilith - '22
Mercury parallel true Black Moon Lilith - '15
Venus parallel true Black Moon Lilith - '01
Venus septile Pluto - '32
Sun septile Ascendant - '28

7th harmonic aspects(septile, biseptile, triseptile) relate to mystical.

I would look at the other Kuiper Belt Objects besides Pluto for occult stuff. after all Pluto rules hidden forces...these objects have similar orbit(plutino's)and beyond Pluto(cubewanos, scattered disk objects)...I'd focus on the dwarf planets which Pluto and Eris are categorized as.

some of mine are:
Sun conjunct Ixion - '04
Sun contraparallel Orcus - '01
Sun triseptile Orcus - '01
Moon trine Ixion - 2'14
Moon trine Quaoar - '49('37 - 3D aspect)
Moon square Varuna - '10
Sun quincunx Varuna - '39 (3D aspect)
Moon sextile Sedna - '02 (3D aspect)
Venus trine Orcus - '41
Eris in 8th sextile Midheaven - 1'01
Sun quincunx Eris - '47 (3D true body aspect)
Mercury biquintile Eris - '06

Hi solar_third ~

I'm one of The Beast's astro-twins -- Sun, Moon, Asc, Merc, Venus..... You might find this thread interesting:http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/005607.html

I've never seen two Yods in the same chart before (that is, if you count the Vertex, which I tend not to).....

Here is something that I read from my book, ASTROLOGY ENCYCLOPEDIA by James R Lewis.

In the same way that the media seized the expression"New Age" in the late 1980's and transformed it into a term of derision, and earlier wave of media interest in the early 1970's seized the word occult and succeeded in connecting it with such negative phenomena as black magic.

Occult comes from a root word meaning "hidden," and the original connotation of the word was that it referred to a body of esoteric beliefs and practices that were in some sense hidden from the average person(in other words, practices and knowledge that are accessible only after an initiation). Alternately, it is somethings said that practices were occult if they dealt with forces that operated by means that were hidden from ordinary perception---magic,tarot cards, and astrology, for example. Modern Astrology is not occult in the sense of secret initiations, but it is occult in the sense that it deals with "hidden" forces.

Under the impact of the Human Potentials movement and humanistic psychology, astrology, tarot, and so forth were no longer regarded as mere fortune-telling devices, but became tools for self-transformation. The result of this on on the contemporary practice of Astrology is that at least two kinds of astrologers can be distinguished: Astrologers who---like Joan Quigley, the Reagans' astrologer---primarily predict events and advise clients on when to perform certain actions, and astrologers who see themselves as quasi-therapists,leading their clients to deeper understandings of themselves. Most contemporary astrologers would fall somewhere between these two definitions.

I actually approach Astrology as the latter...but actually more of holistic healing art.

No, I haven't noticed those before. I have only focussed upon his quintile sun/ascendant/pluto aspects. He was a prolific third house writer and wrote far more than I ever believed I'd wish to read, or write, and unfortunately I have become engrossed with astrology more than the life of a neophyte in recent years, as it's far more appealing to an introspective sun-moon pisces!

Crowley actually introduced me to astrology, via his own chart interpretations and his Law. From there, I've been all over the world and am now here (amongst other places) to see how he works upon my natal ninth house Saturn.

I have a strong interest in the occult;
particularly, hermetic philosophy,
theurgy (divine magic), and mysticism.
I think I would make a good medium,
if I choose to develop that skill.
