What are aspects that make service second-nature to people? Probably something related to Virgo, Pisces, 6th house, and 12th houses, no? Since I answered my own question ... any stories?

My best friend/roomie has Venus in Cancer, Moon in the 6th, and Jupiter in the 12th. She's definitely a nurturer at heart. I feel like her grunting, no-good husband. I do care a lot about ppl and their suffering seriously pains me---I usu. just don't know how to express it or can't think of reasonable means to make things better. It's the self-defeatist attitude (as if my efforts will do no good). It's probably my karmic lesson to better integrate a service-oriented demeanor in myself.

Anyway, enough about me. Stories?

I’ve always found it weird that Virgo & the 6th house are about serving others. I’m a virgo mooner and I don’t serve others nor nurture them…

Not that I wouldn’t like it…I literally don’t know how. Feels incredibly unnatural. My mum’s a Pisces Mooner, and she was hardly nurturing. She just stuck to the practical side of mothering. Made sure I brushed my teeth, ate my veg, did my homework.

If I had an emotional problem - and I often did, as I was overly emotional as a child - she literally wouldn’t know what to do

I find it funny cause Libras and Pisceans are people‘s…urr people - what the hell went wrong? Mum grew up well nurtured by my grandparents - waste of a pisces Moon I say….could be a past life thing.

The only person I’ve ever nurtured (well) is my baby Leo sister. Could be cause her Moon’s in my 4th house.

so umm yeah, I guess that's my story

Yes, you did answer your own ??--and quite accuratley!!

I am a ICU RN and have Virgo on the MC, Pisces sun in the 4th widely conj IC and widely opp MC, Neptune in Scorp in the 12th Widely opposed to my Taurus moon in the 6th....

Just one story and quite typical of my "service"...

On Wednesday I took a 37 year old woman off life support--she od'd on Tylenol, accidentally, did not read the directions. Thursday--Thanksgiving morning I was with her and her family as she passed.

On Wed, I approached a horribly distraught woman at her bedside and come to find out the patient was adopted as an infant and the woman was her birth mom--they had just recently reunited. The birth mom felt terribly alone and felt like she was imposing on the adoptive family so I stayed with her, held her, and gave her all of the spiritual guidance I could muster---the family refused chaplain service many times...

My service extended to post mortem care, cleaning the patient, fixing her long hair, preparing her for the rest of the family to arrive and be with her body.

I love this kind of service...

Terri

I am very service oriented.

I was in military service. That's definitely service. I was in US Navy for 7 years.
I have been doing free Astrology readings/reports since 1999. I have never charged. I am not a professional astrologer, but I would like to be in the future. I am pursuing a career in holistic health. I have 720 hr certificate in Massage Therapy. I help my fellow learning disabled too. I would like to help learning disabled with free astrology readings and help them understand themselves including their strengths and weaknesses. I want to donate to learning disabled charity organizations for the rest of my life. I even decided to be a lifelong member of Dyspraxia USA organization which includes donating 150 dollars per year. I also decided to be a lifelong member of International Dyslexia Association which includes donating 150 dollars per year. I would like to always be an advocate for my learning disabled people and help raise awareness..especially help get rid of misconceptions like us being stupid and special education is just for the mentally retarded. I want to stress how important it is to get early intervention special education therapies to help remediate learning disabilities and help them compensate. I have already done some of that stuff. My passion in the special education/learning disabled field is strong as my passion in Astrology. I feel that it's even stronger. I was a special ed student long before I was an astrologer. If it wasn't for early intervention special education therapies,I would lack the ability to communicate in words. Therefore,I wouldn't even be an astrologer. I had special help, and I feel that I should help in return. It's all about giving back. I am also grateful for what my fellow Pisces Moon Dr. Martin Luther King Jr did. I believe in his dream. He made it possible for multiethnic people like me to be born. I want to spend the rest of my life fighting racism. I feel that expressing my life as a mixed Black,Portuguese,English,German,French,Italian,Puerto Rican,Native American, and Jewish person can help. I could point out the unity that can exist, and that interracial harmony is dream that can be achieved as well as that we are all the same because we all human being. I have already been posting my "Unity" poem and talk about experiences as a multiethnic learning disabled person in yahoo message boards that have a lot of racism in them. I feel that I was meant to teach others that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. That's the bottom line for me.

The indicators don't necessarily mean that you will be of service. It depends if you want to help others or not. It all comes down to what you want. As for me,I felt that I was born to serve others. I feel that my challenging, painful life experiences are preparation for me to help others because they have given me the ability to be compassionate. I believe that the minor planet,Chiron does too. It's associated with healing, teaching.
I also read that Saturn/Neptune connections are connected to service due to it being connected to health matters. Hygeia is the asteroid of health matters, and I feel that can relate to service. Ceres is the asteroid of nurturing, and I feel that can relate to service. It's a minor planet, and it should have more influence than most minor planets. Vesta is an asteroid that relates to dedication, work. It was named after the Roman Goddess of the sacred hearth. I also believe 11th house can be part of service as it is humanitarian house. I believe Uranus too

Here is a long one.

aqua: Haha, I'm sorry to hear about your mom. Reminds me of my Leo friend's Pisces mom. Mom is awesome, but when Leo was a tot, mom refused to clean her daughter's butt with her hands. She used her foot instead (ruled by Pisces, hah!). Nice to know you didn't follow in your own mom's guise (with yer sis).

hippi: I remember you mentioned elsewhere that you are a dedicated ICU RN. That's a lot of dead-on heart, geezuz. Nice to know that you are willing to go the extra mile in spite of high stress. My friend works at a hospital (he's the guy who collects copay). He talks about how his hospital can sometimes run like a business, sometimes overriding its true purpose (charity and welfare). *You* really care. Inspiring, to say the least.

Glaucus: Ahha, I know! There is not much else I can say. We all believe in you!

I didn't think of those aspects. Umm, I have Sun conj Vesta. I'm in elementary-level educational publishing. Our textbooks aim to help young English Language Learners feel more integrated into American classrooms (no more "special ed" courses for kids who are still acquiring English).

I totally agree with this:

I asked about whether it would be second nature in some ppl. In others, service may require conscious effort, perhaps until it becomes more instinctive. Sometimes my brain is so wrapped up in its own world that I forget my environment and the ppl in it.

Seems like a lot of threads have been posted about very sad things happening. Collective blessings to all of you guys.
