Can anybody please provide any informaton about this aspect in synastry? Who is more affected? What is generally experienced in this kind of relationship? Is it is a 'fated' union that quickly burns out or is it an aspect that can be dealt with for longevity? What lessons are to be learned? Any experiences? Thanks in advance.

*I'm Venus, he's Pluto* (Does gender affect this as well?)

I have that, too, with someone. My Venus is square his Pluto (orb: 1°43), but actually there are more planets involved in this combination.
His Sun is conjunct my Venus (in both our 1st houses); and this conjunction is square both of our Pluto`s, which are sitting directly on our midheavens (yes, we share the same ascendant).

How did I experience this?
Well, I thought I had gotten over him, but now he has come back to haunt me, and I wonder if I will ever get over him. And I have been the one who broke up with him!
Still I somehow can`t forget him and let go of him.
However, regarding Venus-Pluto-aspects I think the orb should be fairly tight, since Pluto is an outer planet. But if it`s a tight orbed aspect, then it has very much impact.
I`d say, more on the Venus-person, for Venus is a personal planet. But it depends. If the Pluto-person has much Pluto-influence in his horoscope, he may feel it, too.

That is what Rakela writes about that aspect:
"Venus - Pluto - deep, intense Love
Very deep and intense feelings arise with Venus-Pluto aspects. Trhoguh lovemaking, we experience a merging of souls that cannot be explained or understood, only felt. WE may sense that a past-life connection has once again been reestablished. Reliving this bond of love can be quite dramatic.
Inharmonious influences between Venus and Pluto can be challenging. Pluto amy be too driven to merge with venus. Venus, being receptive to Plutos advances, is eager to please, yet may not approve of such aggressiveness. Venus personal overtures may be inhibited by Plutos alienation,d ue to a fear of a deepr emotional involvement. Venus may want all of Pluto attention, as Pluto desires his own company. Tensions may arise if the couple is not sensitive to each others needs."

Well, I call this the "unforgettable" aspect. Because the men I met and who had a Venus-Pluto-aspect to my horoscope, had an unforgettable impact on me. I´ve been literally transformed and changed through these encounters. Of course i have a natal Venus-square-Pluto,s o it`s maybe what I need.
But from my experience, this is a very exhausting experience, passionate, obsessive and very exhausting.

Oh I found some more interpretations on Cafe astrology:

"Venus in hard aspect (square, opposition, semi-square, or sesquiquadrate) to other person's Pluto
Intense, and sometimes uncomfortable, attraction between these two can go either way fast. The expression "a fine line between love and hate" applies here. This connection is almost primal in nature. Sexual attraction is intense. These two will definitely need to deal with issues of possessiveness, jealousy, and volatile emotions. They arouse in one another some of their deepest insecurities, as there can be an intense fear of losing one another. This interchart aspect can sometimes be indicative of unrequited love or of a relationship that eventually breeds anger and even hatred. Power struggles and manipulation are quite possible. This is not a relationship to take lightly. If the relationship were to break up, it would be unlikely that the two would be able to remain "just friends", as the passion is hard to forget. Staying together may be a challenge as well! The Pluto person often seems to have the upper hand in this relationship, which can be unnerving and frustrating for the Venus person. Jealousies and manipulative behavior should be watched for and avoided as much as possible."

"Venus-Pluto conjunctions, squares, and oppositions are one of the most potent cross-aspects for sexual and emotional attraction. Although both people are generally attracted to each other, it is the Venus person who is the most enthralled and even obsessed with Pluto—Venus is consumed with the attraction. Ultimately, it is the Pluto person who has the upper hand in terms of whether the relationship is going to endure."

"Venus-Pluto interaspects:
These aspects point to intense and magnetic attraction. They figure strongly in relationships that are long-lasting and significant. Love with these people is intense and transforming. This interaspect demands physical presence. When the natives are apart from each other, jealousies can arise. The difficult aspects generally play out as an emotional rollercoaster ride, with extreme swings from loving intensely to antagonism."

I have that aspect with someone (his Venus squares my Pluto, and to make things even more intense, my Venus also conjuncts his Pluto).

Things have always been very intense between the two of us. There is definitely a very strong physical attraction between us, which makes it very hard to keep our hands off each other. However, because of the jealousy involved, it is also an emotionally draining relationship.

My current boyfriend and I have this in a very tight aspect as well. His Venus squares me Pluto and he even has it in his Chart - Venus square Pluto. There is some intensity and a lot of sexual chemistry going on. (His Mars squares my Venus and his moon is conj my Sun in Aries).

In previous years I have had two other love interests where my Pluto squared his Venus and one who had his Pluto opposite my venus.

The one with the most intensity and jealous feelings was the Pluto opposed my venus. That one sent me through stormy emotional waters and I went through the wringer. All the jealous feelings came from him and whatever innocent thing I wanted to do - all the accusations came out. I think this aspect outweighed the harmonious aspects we had....

Oh also with Pluto Square venus - there were a few money problems there....

The current boyfriend is somewhat of an astrological twin of my 1st true love - they were born 3 days apart and I do see many simularities....(Both have Venus square Pluto in their charts and My pluto Squares Venus......

I have that, too, natally - Venus square Pluto, and I tend to be attracted to guys with whom I share a synastric Venus-Pluto-aspect (could be the trine as well); I guess we just seek on the outside, what we carry inside of us.

Venus square Pluto in a Man's chart seems to be a common thing for me even though I don't have the aspect in my chart. I'd imagine it would be quite a tough one to deal with. With my current man I have noticed that he came from a smothering home and seems close to his mom....

With these men - My Pluto is always squaring their Venus. I'm not sure what My Pluto is doing there. I still have yet to see my upperhand....

do you have other strong Pluto-placements?

Venus in Scorpio or 8th house
ASC or DC in Scorpio
ruler of ASC or DC in 8th house
Pluto in 1st, 7th or 5th house
Mars in Scorpio, 8th house or aspecting Pluto?

(You could also use Sun and Moon, even though I think the Mars, ASC or Venus-placements are the strongest in regard to relationships, if the other one has Venus-Pluto).

I have this aspect with a person 11 years younger than me and I feel obsessive with that person, I am the Venus person and I have Venus in the 8th house, and the other person has Pluto in Scorpio, the moon and Lilith in Scorpio, and I've never felt attraction for a so younger person but her.

We share other aspects like many of her planets Sun, Mercury, Jupiter and Chiron in my DC, her Eros square my Sun, Venus and Jupiter, but I think she is not interesting in me at all.

This is allways the big Question in astrology If you have all this aspects means that a relationship is going to occur???

We dont know it...

I had the Venus/Pluto square with an ex, and there was an awesome attraction, but also constant power struggles. It got to be too much. I don't know if that was a result of this square or another aspect. I haven't looked at the synastry in a long time.

What are "you guyses" thoughts on the quincunx? I have it with someone (my Venus quincunx his Pluto) that I'm just getting to know. Magi, of course, says it's wonderful. Other sites say it's stressful. I can definitely see the obsessive factor on my part!

Anyone have experience with this that can put a vote in for how it works in the relationship?

My and this one guy both have Venus Square Pluto in our natal charts

In synastry
his venus sq my pluto
my venus sq his pluto

Also venus opps venus

in a Composite We have
moon conj pluto opps venus...

The Venus Sq Pluto was amplified.
This relationship drew out emotions in me that I have never felt, plus understood how to deal with..

We went back in fourth on who has control, but ultimately he had the more control.
It truly was an emotional roller coaster...

In a way, I want to feel that level of intense feelings and passion again, but at the same time, I dont want to go through the ride of all the ups and downs...

Its truly indescribable.

My story is different, but I think it demonstrates well Venus Opposition Pluto in synastry. Please feel free to comment my story if you want to. My knowledge of astrology is limited.

My sister has one nephew on her husband's side, I met him when he was six. When he was 21 he moved to her home town. I was 43 years old then. The day I walked into my sister's living room and saw a bearded man I've never seen before, I was literally 'struck by lightning'. Despite my age, this had never happened to me before.

The man was my sister's nephew, all grown up, but still younger than my eldest child. I was the Venus person, he was the Pluto person. We were both 'hit' by the moment, but - I've been unable to be in the same room as him ever since. I have never talked to him, or been with him.

My unusual reaction had opened up a Pandora's Box of SHAME and GUILT stemming from my childhood. But this made it possible for me to work on those issues... So even if our relationship never happened, it still has been a TRANSFORMING one for me.

By obvious reasons, I doubt it had such an impact on him. But the connection, although never explored, has been there. When my father died he was in the funeral, representing my sister's in-laws, but also trying to express his concerns for me. I could see it, and feel it.

He has a large stellium of personal planets including Chiron conjunct my sun/moon midpoint, maybe this would have played a role.

Still, my conclusions are: Intense feelings are involved with the Venus-Pluto Opposition aspect, and I think it'll tend to be transforming, at least for the Venus person, as it was for me.

Some interesting astrological and astronomic events took place at the same time: We had the first rare Venus Passing in front of the Sun, and a solar eclipse in Aries conjunct my natal Venus. I do think the young man represented these astrological influences directed towards my natal Venus.

n synastry, Pluto brings intensity, obsession, possessiveness and a craving for intimacy. Pluto wants to delve deep to uncover what’s underneath the surface. Superficiality does not appeal to Pluto; he wants something deep. He wants something transformative, something that transcends the boundaries between two people. Not in the Neptunian, spiritual way, but in a more physical, psychological way. Venus, on the other hand, wants balance and harmony. Venus is known as a superficial planet, as she craves beauty and cooperation above everything.

Venus-Pluto in Synastry

When Pluto meets Venus in synastry, the Beast meets Beauty. Pluto is not impressed by Venus’ social graces and flowery tastes. He is tremendously attracted to her charm, grace, and beauty, yes, but the attraction stems from far beyond her outer beauty. Pluto sees right into Venus’s psyche. He wants to uncover her layers, and wants to know her deepest, darkest secrets. He wants to take Venus into the depths of intimacy, where true bonding and intimacy take place. At first, Venus is taken aback; she is both frightened and intrigued by Pluto. She is flattered by his attention and interest in getting to know her, but his intensity is frightening. She loves his passion, as it makes her feel desired and beautiful. Venus knows she cannot hide from Pluto, and the temptation is hard to resist. If Pluto feels his level of intensity is not matched by Venus, he will increase his intensity until they are on the same level.

As in all Pluto synastry aspects, the Pluto person has the “upper hand”, and the planet person (in this case, Venus) is the submissive partner. As the relationship develops, the couple becomes demanding of each other. The fear of losing one another affects them both, giving rise to feelings of insecurity, jealousy, and possessiveness. Pluto desires complete domination and control over Venus, while Venus is eager to please Pluto. Pluto will continue to dig and dig at Venus’ mind until he is satisfied with Venus’ affection. “All or Nothing” characterizes this union. Pluto is not willing to share Venus, and uses manipulative tactics to ensure Venus belongs to him, and him only.

Pluto forces Venus to see something about herself that she wanted to keep hidden. His role is to transform Venus by exploring the depths of intimacy and sharing. The relationship is highly sexual, and the chemistry is addictive. This level of passion is the highest you will have in your life as the two explore and play out each others’ deepest, darkest secrets and fantasies. This aspect can result in sexual exploitation, as well, given Pluto’s dominance over Venus, and Venus’ desire to please Pluto in any way she can.

If you’ve ever read “Fifty Shades of Grey,” you have a good understanding of Venus-Pluto in synastry. In the book, the young, handsome millionaire, Grey, meets a young, innocent virgin, Ana, and the two begin a sexual relationship, characterized by dominance and submission. Grey calls the shots in the relationship, telling her the relationship will be only sexual in nature. Grey tests Ana’s sexual limits, bringing out a sexual side of her she never knew existed. Ana finally becomes exhausted with the relationship, and leaves Grey, but the level of passion and intimacy the two shared would never be forgotten.

One final note: Venus-Pluto in synastry aspect can also result in financial exploitation. In addition to love and beauty, Venus also rules finances and personal possessions. Pluto may take advantage of Venus’ desire to please him by taking over her finances.

The preceding description applies especially to hard aspects between Venus and Pluto in synastry. The sextile and trine encapsulate the positive side of Venus-Pluto; there is intensity and obsession, but it is less consuming and negative than we find in the hard aspects.!venus-pluto-in-synastry/cn89

I have Venus sq Pluto with someone at 1'05" (applying) - I'm Pluto. My Venus is opposite his Mars at 6'44" (separating). It's been the most gut wrenching, intense, obsessive one-sided relationship of my life.

It's been two years and I still can't stop yearning for him. I don't understand it and have resigned myself to the realization that he's always going to be the one that I never had... it's awful and I hate it. I'm ruined for anyone else and am in the process of breaking up with a man who loves me more than life itself because I just can't bring myself to stop loving this other one.

It's tragic...

I would greatly appreciate some insight and to put my brain to rest!!

I met someone who has his Mars and Moon (in Taurus) opposition my Pluto, and his Venus (in Aquarius) squares my Pluto. His Pluto squares my mercury.

He also seems to have this in his natal chart (venus square pluto, moon and mars opposition with pluto). Does that mean he's a mess? v_v oh I shouldn't say things like that.

Despite how intense our bond is and how much I like him, I can't help but feel I should run because I sense that he's playing mind games and he's driving me insane and it's very exhausting (since I have Gemini moon I spend a lot of time analyzing what is going on and trying to understand him, but no luck yet).

Help? Pretty please?

Leo Sun, Gemini Moon, Scorpio Rising.

I will create happiness rather than pursue it.
