So, I have read a bit in various places about Anaretic degrees (either 0 degrees or 29 degrees) and how they are karmic. I have a good imagination so I have looked at different composite and synastry aspects with these degrees and, bearing in mind the sign and house placement, I have come to certain possible conclusions.

If anyone has anything to add about anaretic degrees and your experience or knowledge of what they mean I'd love to hear about it!

Love

Hi Love

What were your conclusions?? I have an anaretic Asc/Dsc, Saturn and NN..... I'm not sure if I can discuss my Leo Asc at 29d54' without sounding full of it.....

Did you read thru these threads??

Hi Zala

I read that the 29 degrees is the degree of fate... except 29' Leo

I don't know what the exception is?

I have Vesta at 29' Scorpio (said to be the most karmic degree in the zodiac. http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/008820.html

NN @ 29' Aries too....

Here is some stuff... http://home.epix.net/~tzarathu/29th%20degree.html

But for those who have Neptune in Sag or Cap at the anaretic degree...isn't that generational? Would it still have that effect on us? A whole generation has to deal w/ this karmic degree? I don't know, but I don't think it makes sense (from what i understand)

I have the following:

Anaretic
Moon Taurus 29°33'12 House 1
Pluto Virgo 29°41'55 House 4

Critical
Uranus Libra 13°30'39 House 5

As far as I know only 29 Degrees are anaretic. I have Venus in Sag @ 0 Degrees and this is not critical as it is not in a Cardinal sign.

Critical Degrees Guideline:
Cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn) O,13 and 26 degrees
Fixed signs (Taures, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius) 9 and 21 degrees
Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagitarius, and Pisces) 4 and 17 degrees

"Someone born with a natal Mercury Retrograde in the sign of Sagittarius, is very mystical and spiritual messenger to everyone he or she meets!"

"27.5 degrees of Sagittarius is called the galactic center of the universe. Direct lines to more intelligent forms of life."

I have Mercury Sagittarius 27°50'16 07/8 retrograde

Can anybody give me some input on the last paragraph? "27.5 degrees Sagittarius"

I hope I'm not way off the topic...

Cassy -

I have my Leo Ascendant at a critical degree of 9.
What's significant about critical placements as opposed to anaretic ones??

Hi Shirty

From what I understand a planet's strenght is supposed to be increased when at a critical degree. http://www.linda-goodman.com/cgi-bin/ubb/forumdisplay.cgi?action=displayprivate&number=12&topic=000208
