Yes, I know no one *truely* lacks a sign/element...what I mean however, is significant/planetary placements...How do you deal with that "inferior function" in your chart? Some overcompensate, some don't acknowldege it at all, some deny the qualities, and then some... I wanna know how YOU Knowflakes deal with your "missing" element/signs? FOR example (before I get some hardcore astrologers telling stuff I already know  ) I have no planets in Virgo
I have nothing in my 6th house I tend to overcompensate the qualities of this sign. I'm so nitpicky that I can't finish anything I start. I'm a good writer- but because I dissect my "plots" down to the smallest granular fact..I tend to get lost in the details (Neptune/3rd house). I'm a perfectionist to the T. Though, I'm not "neat", I do make the extra effort to be so. It's not hard for me to organize, make lists, etc...it's much hard for me to stick to them. I can be hypercritical but mostly of myself... I'm far too specific for my own good, always defining, correcting, validating things that people say, even if they ask. Like this--- (According to ____, this theory of blah blah blah, was founded by whomever, in July or whenever back in a small town called whatever consisting of X amount of people  ) In regular conversation..dunno if that's a Virgo thing but I told you, I'm very specific  Health, diet, work, service are M A J O R issues in my life...everything I do revolves around those general themes. But most of all, I can't help but take a big picture (any big picture, idea, concept, thought, plan...anything) and bre little pieces of data that I have to "execute"... It's almost ..fun for me to do...and strange, but mostly fun.
Virgo is on my 11th house cusp...I am very critical of love "received", friendships, and my hopes/dreams. Like I said, I'm a victim of listing everything...and sometimes I'll plan out my life as if I could control dates and times and places and names and people and situations in the everyday and future.
I'm E X T R E M E L Y picky with my friends...I'm not fond of making too many close friends/connections because too many is fussy and cluttering and unneccessary..I can be hard on them, critically, but its usually for the best... I have absolutely no air in my chart, and I LOVE to talk. Sometimes too much. I need to learn when to listen and when to talk because I interrupt people way too much.  I have an empty 7th house and no Libra influences in my chart, but I've always felt Libran (the need for partnerships, don't like being alone, hate conflict, etc....) Same thing goes with my boyfriend, he even admitted that he hates just sitting at home by himself, even if it's only for an hour. He has an empty 7th house and no Libra influence, either.... hmmmmm....
P.S.....Everything you described in your post describes me to a T. I think I'm becoming more and more like my sun sign everyday. I even just had to edit this post because I noticed I spelled something wrong.

no air here too. closest thing is a chirion in gemini or moon in third house or venus/uranus in 11 (pholus is only major asteroid in 11). In fact out of the ten major asteroids (what I mean by that is the ten listed as additional items on astro.com extended chart) my only other air asteriod is pars fourtune in gemini. I have an empty 7th house too devoid of any planet or almost all of the ten major asteriods. though vertex (1 of 10 in extended chart additional items) and isis are there, finally! I think I am about as un-air as you can get. though looking again, between armor, eros and isis I do have armor in gemini (so maybe I have a planet after all?). anyone else extremely un air like like I am??? Is anyone more un air than me? though I do have (what I think is) an unaspected uranus..and I here that is powerful. IP: Logged |

no planets at all in fire signs, although i've always been described as having a firey personality, but i do have indeed fire houses dominants in my chart.IP: Logged |

I have no planets in earth. I only a Cap MC and Tau SN. I feel very ungrounded most of the time. My chart is mostly air. I wonder if I have no earth stuff though because I have learnt earth lessons in previous lives, you got to wonder why I have Tau SN, it kind of indicates this. Quite frankly, I don't know how I deal with it, most days I don't really think about it. I also don't have anything in pisces or leo. I have nothing major in the 2nd, 5th, 11th or 12th house. I've no Capricorn planets, I do think this makes me at times impractical , nor do I have any gemini which means I'm not really chatty unless I know people well......what I do have is eros and psyche in aquarius...oh dear me IP: Logged |

No air here... for the longest time, I do not like people asking me how I am as in "Hello...How are you?" in passing. It felt too phoney. Can't stand chit chat. I go into meetings at work with an agenda or I walk out... I have a "If you have something important to say, say it and be done with it... don't waste my valuable time." attitude. MM IP: Logged |

Almost no earth in my chart except the Venus in Virgo and thats about it, have a real hard time being grounded mabe thats why I attract so many Capricorns?!------------------

Jupiter in Cancer
Venus in Virgo
Mars in Cancer

does chiron count?nothing in taurus/2nd [cept chiron]
nothing in aries/1st [cept MC] when im around aries i feel really buoyed[sp] by their energy - taurus i feel as if i have no common ground with at all. my egos never been overwhelming [relating to 1st] but i do tend to be viewed as either aggressive or really sweet. the people who dont have fire --> what do you mean fiery? energetic personality? cos i know someone like that [no fire] and they -do- have energy but there seems to be no "spark" if you know what i mean , esp in their voice: theres a lot of passion but not a lot of inflection. just wondering. I have one planet in the fire sign and thats my uranus in sagittarius in the 6th house. I have only one planet in my air sign and thats my jupiter in aquarius in my 8th. I consider my uranus in sag more of the "singleton" because its the only fire in my chart, the only mutuable planet and the only planet in my cadent house.
I have no planets in the 2nd, 3rd, 9th and 10th. Asteroids, yes. But no planets.

I have a bundle chart which spreads across 8th-1st house and libra-aquarius, my whole chart is contained within a trine.I lack 2nd,3rd,4th,5th,6th,7th house energy. And i have no placements in aries,taurus,gemini,cancer,leo, or virgo. How's about that for lacking a lot of signs? The thing is I still have an equal balance of elements and modalities so it seems to equal out. I do notice that I tend to be over a lot of things, many people live their life "for the experience." I feel like an old man who's been there done that, just a watcher maybe. Perhaps this is too much 12th house energy. I think this effect is more noticeable for people who completely lack an element. I lack water: Uranus in Scorpio is a water singleton.I am very intense and senitive but its extremely difficult for me to show how I feel.. argh..it drives me insane! IP: Logged |

I have a Jupiter earth sigleton in virgo..
Libraschoice, some similarity there i've no major planets in aries, taurus, cancer, capricorn,aquarius and pisces..
well..well!!
oh yeah! I have an Aries rising so, natural energies in all houses..

I have a lack of air, my only air singleton is Mars in Libra, since when I was young I always find it hard to verbalize my thoughts and my feelings, they always seem to be different from what I want to say, although sometimes I think it's cause of my Mercury retrogade too.IP: Logged |

I have no planets in air..
No planets in houses 1, 4,5,6,9,11,12
Nothing in Aqua, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Libra or Sag...But.. i have a huge 7th house..Spans 3 signs
and it's very crowded...
Most of the stuff I've read said that with a well aspected Mercury you lessen the blow of the missing air.. and with such a masssive amount of stuff in Libra's house..
I am often mistaken as a Libra... especially the smile
I'm actually quite good at speaking in public and teach dance...
