NN conjunct SN in Synastry what does it mean? Would it not be all that relevant at all because the two points are relatively slow moving? IP: Logged |

You know, this question has bothered me so much that I hope someone answers this. The only thing that I can come up with is that by someone progressing (NN) is holding the other one back (SN) and vice versa - or someone's future gains momentum from the familiarity they feel with the other (SN) and vice-versa. It means youre going 2 different directions in this life. You teach each other because of what you already know(south node)....You hold each other back on some level, but you also learn a great deal. Not something you want in a long term relationship but good experience to have.------------------ "WHATEVER the soul longs for, WILL be attained by the spirit"-Khalil Gibran Love truth even if it harms you, and hate lies even if they serve you. You've pretty much got it right- that's how it operates. It's probably karmic, as node points tend to be. It's theoretically supposed to be helpful because each of them can help the other attain their NN's, but in my experience it's the opposite.I have that with my mother- we have the reverse NN/SN Aries/Libra placements. It's godawful, to be honest. I can't get anywhere with her on trying to get her to be independent, and her needyness only makes me want to run back to my Aries South Node and hide by myself in a corner. IP: Logged |

My husband & I both have our north nodes conjuncting our respective ascendants, which oppose each other (my north node conjuncting my ascendant in Aquarius opposing his north node conjuncting his ascendant in Leo).Anyway, I think it's a lovely, delightful aspect to share & a sign of endurance. Mutual comprehension of where each of us has been & where we're going. IP: Logged |

DL - thought soulmates might be used describe it - it is a bit of a karmic point to karmic point link and what one needs one can get from anotherIP: Logged |

I think the statement makes sense as well, because the NN person is going in the direction where the SN person is coming from (you know, "Been there, done that" type of thing). And of course, vice-versa. So I think soulmates is appopriate because isn't that what they're there for anyways? To "teach" and for you to learn a lesson from them.IP: Logged |

I agree- there IS a definate feeling of familiarity within a relationship that has N>node conjuct S.Node. Ive experienced it more than once and can completely relate. I feel a definate Soul mate connection. Especially lately; just met someone 11 days ago that has N.NOde in CAncer and My S.NOde is in Cancer.. WE feel like we've known each other for hundreds of years. we were instantly drawn to each other. We talk on the phone for hours, every night... never wanna be apart, have mutual affection for each other and I feel also a lot to teach each other. So i definately agree with the Soul mate connection. I think we must have known each other in a (or many) past lives. (i also have Sun in Cancer) IP: Logged |

I can totally relate to this thread just having gotten out of a relationship involving this conjunction/opposition. He is a Scorpio and I have my North Node in Scorpio and I have a Taurus Moon and he has his North Node in Taurus.I can't say that it worked out in practice even though we talked on the phone for three weeks, for hours per night before we met and hung out. I was freaked out by how much of a connection there was, but when we finally got together in person it was constant arguing and madness. So strange. Karma? Abso-freakin-lutely. Soulmates? Yeah, I think so. But as was already mentioned by Dulce and 23 sometimes soulmates are merely here to give us a lesson or experience or two and then push us on in our destined direction.
