I was wondering if someone could help me out. I am new to astrology...I find it facinating, but my understanding is decidedly marginal. Last week I figured out that I have a fixed t-squ. While I was trying to figure out what that meant, I realized that I also have not just one, but three yods...Can someone help me understand what is up with my crazy chart? What's up with yods anyway? What is the possible significance of having the apex of these yods in houses 2 (neptune in sag), 7 (rx mars in taurus) and 9 (saturn in cancer) (I only ask b/c I ended a rotten marriage a couple years ago and am currently seeing my high school bf...7th house for 1st marriage, 9th for any second marriage, right?). How does all of this "work" with the t-square I found last week? Any help or understanding you could provide is greatly appreciated...here is my chart Thanks! IP: Logged |

Hi SC ~Wow, two Yods!! What an interesting chart you've got I've got a Moon/Neptune/Pluto Finger of God pointed at my 8th house..... The apexes of your Yods are your Mars in the 7th and your Saturn in the 9th -- the apex-planet is the one at the end of both the quincunxes; the base planets are sextile. Your Mars Yod is actually a Boomerang as it has a planet (Mercury) at the "release point" (opposing the apex and semi-sextile your base planets). Here's some good forum threads about Yods: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/005767.html http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/004316.html Welcome, and Happy Trails!! Zala

Zala,Thx for the links...lots of great info (I have been so sidetracked by the unusual parts of my chart that I haven't been able to figure out how to search through what the rest of you all have waded through before!). So, is the 2nd house neptune inconjunct both mars and saturn not a yod? (or, since both mars and saturn are already busy with their own yods they can't be in another?)

Ami,To summarize the points Zala made: One Yod focused on Cancer (home, also emotions) modifying Saturn (duty) focused in the 9th house (expansion, also wisdom), indicating learning may be some type of duty for you, perhaps even causing strong emotions. The other Yod is focused on Sagittarius (expansion) modifying Neptune (spirituality, also musicality) conjunct (energy is combined with) Venus (physical, also singing) focused in the 2nd house (physical, also singing), indicating that you may have musical singing abilities . The Boomerang is a Yod with an opposition which refocuses the Yod on the planet opposite the Yod, in this case on Scorpio (transformation, also control) modifying Mercury (thinking/daily work) focused in the 1rst hosue (being), indicating you may be focused on daily thinking of how to take control of yourself in your life. The T-square is focused on Aquarius (friends) modifying Jupiter (expansion) focused in the 4th house (home, also emotions), indicating a focus on expanding your home in a "friendly" way (close but not TOO close)...which could cause a challenge if things become too "emotional".
