I was curious to know of any indications in a chart that would point to problems with the brain.

In 2001, when I was 14, I started getting these really bad headaches. The doctor sent me to get an X-ray and they saw something in it. I then got a CT Scan and they found that I had a rather large Arachnoid Cyst on the left side of my brain. After meeting with a neurosurgeon, in December of that same year I had surgery. My doctor basically cut the cyst up so that the spinal fluid could flow through instead of continuing to build up.

After my head healed from the surgery my headaches went away. Until May '02. For the next 2 years I'd say they were pretty constant. I saw a neurologist, who couldn't help me. I went back to my regular doctor. They literally tried every headache/migraine medicine in creation at the time. Nothing helped. I even went to a pain management specialist. The only thing that did was make all feeling in my neck nonexistent. They also told me there was nothing else they could do for me.

Luckily my headaches started to get less and less, until they were just every once in a while. Until just this past summer. They started to creep up again, until just two months ago when I started getting them everyday again.

Back to the doctor I went. She sent me straight for an MRI due to my history. I just got the preliminary results back. It seems I now might have a new cyst growing on the right side of my brain. Oh joy!

But luckily it's really small and could have been there all along, so it's nothing to worry about at the moment.

So again I was just wondering if there are any indications one could look for in a chart that would show a person might have problems with their head.

I'd appreciate any feedback. Thanks!!! (I hope that wasn't too long)

Here's my chart just in case-

hey girl,
pluto is associated with abnormal or sudden growths.these can be cancer or benign tumors.i think that your growths wpuld fall inder this.your sun is square to pluto,a classic aspect for the possibility o fabnormal growths.the midpoint of these planets is conjunct to your uranus which can indicated the sudden appearance.the connection to the head specifically would center on mars.but i haven't isolated a indice of this in your chart yet.in august a september and october there were quite a few negative midpoint aspect to your uranus.in late september the transitting jupiter/chiron and mars/uranus midpoints crossed your uranus.in late october transitting pluto was square your uranus.
i realized you have exhausted pain relievers, but inhaling the vapors of simmering rosemary tea can help migraines.

Q: what rules the brain?

Is it aries (because it is in the head), gemini (the centre of communication), sag (because it is all-encompassing)?

I never thought of the sag ruling the brain before...have heard of mars and mercury's connection to the organ tho.

quote:
For example, Aries rules the head, brain and eyes, so people with the sign Aries prominent in their charts are subject to head injury, headaches, general problems with organs in the head and fevers (although the nose is ruled by Scorpio). Aries is such a headstrong sign!

I think Mercury/Gemini has more to do with the linkages between brain cells, and brain cells and other parts of the body...the nervous system.

quote:
Gemini is a sign of dispersal and flexibility, and is associated with linkages and connect in the body. It rules the tubes of the body. It is a communicator and a sign of locoIt rules the lungs and the process of inhalation as well as the central nervous system, arms, shoulders, hands, tongue, trachea, bronchi, Eustachian tubes of the ears, ureter, and fallopian tubes. Capillaries and collagen are also ruled by Gemini

The first house (ruled by mars) according to rules "brain tumors" and "brain insults."

The ninth house (ruled by jupiter) rules: "the upper part of brain, cerebral hemisphere, Jupiter rules over the left,"

and "Neptune rules over the right hemisphere."

PATHOLOGICAL TENDENCIES: Venus has traditionally been associated with diabetes. Hard aspects to Venus point to lack of homeostasis, lack of tone, congestion and swelling of the body's tissues; cyst formation; and kidney disorders. Venus also rules over the veins and indicates such disorders as varicose veins, hemorrhoids, vascular spiders, etc.

Jupiter (rules the left hemisphere of the brain, and fatty fluids) squares Venus (cyst formation)...also square Saturn (chronic) and Uranus (sudden/unpredictable).

I hope not. Neptune (right hemisphere of brain) widely squares Mars (brain insults)

The Saturn square Jupiter could indicate a chronic problem...but saturn squares should also help you eventually overcome any problem. Venus and Jupiter should bring some luck and with Uranus through new innovative technological means.
