Topic: Combative nature

What would contribute to a person being combative? I mean, I have Sun in Aries but I am not combative at all. In fact, I try to avoid confrontations as much as I can. Probably due to my Neptune in 1st. But what would make a person with a very serene Sun, be confrontational? Mars in Aries?
Venus in Aries? Mars square Sun? Any thoughts? MM IP: Logged |

I know personally I'm not one to back down from a confrontation and will have no problem being confrontational, despite that otherwise, like with my Sun in Virgo and all my Taurus, I would seem like I'd be a slow burn or calm person. In fact I have Mars in Scorpio which I guess is also a slow burn Mars, but can be very intense when angry...Look at the house placement of Mars, mine is in 7th which is part of the ability to be confrontational with others. Also check out Mars aspects, mine doesn't sound too bad until you look at my Moon opposition Mars O_o. Also, I have Venus square Mars, so there is not middle ground between love and hate. Also I think Sun in the 5th might be competitive in nature. I read an interpretation that a Sun in 5th is prideful and can get very angry if insulted. IP: Logged |

Thanks everyone.It is one thing not to back down from a fight and another instigate it. I find that if I am attacked, I will fight back. But I might be ****** at someone or something but will rather bite my tongue than shout out how I feel... I am wondering what placement would actually make one so confrontational that they would voice out displeasure right then and there and "cause a scene" so to speak. MM IP: Logged |

I would say I am highly argumentative. I have Aries AC and Mars in Gem/3rd house (sextile asc, trine pluto). I also am an Aqu with Ura squaring. I can't give up in an argument. Otherwise sag venus, neptune and aries jupiter and chiron too. IP: Logged |

Hi I'm Sun, Venus and Mercury in Pisces and far from timid. I wont pick a fight but will always confromt if I feel I'm being unfairly treated and am not afraid to confront anyone. Maybe its my Mars and Moon in Sag or possibly Leo asc, I dont know Venus IP: Logged |

Well yesterday there was a post about Librans where there is this perception that they are "girly" and diplomatic, weak etc. I think librans are not pushovers from what I see. They as you say are cardinal, initiators. So maybe my opposition between my asc and moon would be that I would be an initiator of a fight but then it would be up to me initiate peace or balance. Wow 23, I didn't see that post about Librans! Girly and diplomatic? Perhaps to their advantage... but never weak? Heck NO! LOL One of my best friends is a Libran Sun and no way is she weak. She certainly knows how to use girly and diplomacy to get what she wants... I find her always fair but boy, is she combative! You get her riled up with injustice and she will have you for breakfast! I have cancer sun/7th house with Mars in aries in the 3rd. I don't look for fights but if someone starts with me......
On the other hand, I will admit that I love to debate, always have. But sometimes I get to into it and people are like "Calm down girl!".

i confirm that mars in sagittarius in the 5th house can make from a normal person a real devil...i've experienced it qwith someone that pretended 2 b my friend and in the end made me suffer enormously.IP: Logged |

Ohh me me...Mars conj Sun/Merc in Aqua opposite Jupiter. My sister's worse than me (well I think so  ) and she has Sun/Mars opposite Jupiter/Uranus, and she also has an Aries Moon tooMars-Uranus-Jupiter aspects are pretty combative. I knew an Aries boy who was always getting into fights and brawls...he had Sun and Mars in Aries, and he also had Pluto/Moon opposite his Sun. IP: Logged |

I have 6H Aqua mars conjunct NN, wide trine 1H Libra Uranus and close trine 10H Gem Mercury (conjunct MC and Sun). I can be combative if I feel pushed too hard or attacked. I don't initiate hostility, but I will definitely get combative if bullied. I also get combative if I feel someone's pushing around my friends. Aqua Mars is known for that - it's considered the most tempermental Aqua placement. The fact that Mars is peregrine in Aqua doesn't help - Aqua tends to indiciate "on or off" emotions, and with an Aqua Mars, when emotions are "on" they can be very intense and hard to focus or control. The only aspect I've seen as very combative was Mars opp Pluto in a Pisces guy.. If there were problems/fights/arguments around him, he'd be the good guy and protect/defend.. If there were none he'd instigate his own. IP: Logged |
