Does jupiter in sag mean that we (sags) will be "expanding" this year since it's one of the things that jupiter represents?
Or does it have something to do with the place jupiter was in when we were born? (Like mine was in capricorn in the 6th house)

I believe that Jupiter in Sagittarius signals the beginning of a new growth cycle in humanity. It is like a Jupiter Return for the world.

When we have a Jupiter Return--when transiting Jupiter conjuncts our natal Jupiter--we begin a new personal growth cycle.

I think weight gain only happens when it passes your 1st or 6th house - natal-wise if Jupiter conj your asc then…I’d imagine weight problems would be an issue.

I have tJupiter, along with all the other planets in Sagi, all in my 6th house right now. tJupiter (5*Sagi right now) is now just moving away from being opposite my 0*Jupiter in Gemini in the 12th. I am actually workin my hiney off and losing some weight right now. It's just something i've been wanting to do for myself. It is tough with all these holiday chocolates floating around right now, but my will is great! So Jupiter is expanding my health consciousness, yay!

`Who are you?' said the Caterpillar. This was not an encouraging opening for a conversation. Alice replied, rather shyly, `I--I hardly know, sir, just at present-- at least I know who I WAS when I got up this morning, but I think I must have been changed several times since then.'

Weight gain happened to me when saturn hit my sixth house. Come to think of it, I have gained a little weight since jupiter trined my sun last month.....arghhh!

Not necessary weight gain, but definitely over-indulgence...
I am normally good with eating and health, but I cannot help myself lately! It tastes soooo good.

especially right now, with all the goodies floating around. i dislike depriving myself, so moderation is key. jupiter is still lounging around in my 12th, i'll be sure to keep up with my work-outs when he moves into the 1st.

I had Saturn in the 6th house Years ago.. and I lost weight. LOTS of weight. I restricted my eating so much, it was unhealthy.

Now that Jupiter is in my 1st house, I'm concerned about this too. I have been good for the most part but when I indulge I go all the way. This time of year is tough.. making cookies and fudge for everyone during the holidays I'm bound to put on at least 5pounds or so. But as far as I remember the last time it was in Sag I lost weight, so I hope the same thing happens this time! lol

I think the idea of saturn being in my 6th house was for me to suffer the consequences of my unhealthy lifestyle and therefore learn a lesson...saturn's specialty.

Dulce Luna, For me it was the same thing.. I was really heavy at the time.. I had health problems I didn't know about also.. but it taught me to control what I ate, instead of not caring enough and indulging on everything. But I went to far with it, and it was unhealthy and when I stopped it kicked me down and hard. I have learned a lot...I'm really into healthy eating and supplements. I guess that Cancer side of me needed to knock off the yummy comfort foods!! haha

saturn has been in my 6th for a while now... I've lost a lot of weight (and I was skinny to begin with!). I'm at my skinniest ever now

I have a friend with sag jupiter in his 8th, conj neptune, opp saturn-moon - he's on the chubby side (but that could also be taurus moon; I've noticed they are round). anyways - he's always had issues with his weight... i've just seen him recently, after his jupiter return - he's so skinny it scared me... of course, saturn conj his sun-venus this summer could explain it too...
