Maybe,
Pluto(Scorpio)opposition Moon/Mercury conj.
and they both square to the rising.

I asked this question because I find myself keeping secrets that your normally would share with someone but I keep it to myself. I'm SUPER-secretive. I'm an aqua sun. I do have two planets in the 8th - moon and venus, with venus being my ruling planet.I can see pluto in the 1st or 10th house making someone secretive. Pluto square the MC, or any significant aspect to the MC or AC from Pluto, would tend to make someone secretive, as would moon or pluto in the 12th house. IP: Logged |

My older sister is a unique mix of talkative yet verrrrrrrrrry secretive.Talkative: 5 of her planets are in air signs (sun in gemini, mars in gemini). Sun conjunct mercury. Secretive: Sun, mercury, and mars in 8th house. Plus...it can also be: her mercury and venus are in, Cancer; and pluto in 12th house. Also, Sun trine pluto= more intensity. Moon in 3rd house, adds to the emotions. Plus, she is a Scorpio rising. So, yeah...talkative but one must never invade her privacy...or else, o.O... IP: Logged |

The most secretive people I know are either Scorpio Sun or Aqua Sun. Aqua is secretive about their inner most emotions, feelings and heart which they are not always comfortable with. Scorpio is big time into loyalty , keeping secrets well and revealing only to those who they trust and do not suspect anything....LOL...IP: Logged |

Bingo! That is totally me. I have sun trine pluto, so maybe that does add to it. I also have a heavy saturn. Being that I have a lot of air and fire, people don't realize that I'm secretive - my gregarious personality is a nice cover...

I've got Pluto and Saturn both in Scorpio in the tenth house with pluto conjunct my midheaven. Plus, both pluto and saturn aspect my Cappie moon. I'm intensely secretive about my emotions. Even my closest friends have no idea how I feel at any given time until I explode. Except for emotions, I'm a very open person. Emotions are the only thing I keep secret.IP: Logged |

Interesting mix of secretive people here. I'm pretty secretive, and people never realize this because they think I'm open when I speak with them - but I only skim the surface of things. I never discuss my feelings, problems, emotions, with anyone. I find it very difficult to express these verbally, so I keep them hidden. I also find it incredibly easy to live a "double life", I'm very secretive about things that I do.

I'm a Sag with Mercury in Scorpio (12th house, no less), Moon in Aquarius (2nd house)...I can be pretty closed-mouthed and more so over the years...people can trust me with their secrets and anything they tell me...I will act like I never heard it. I work in a large office and people think I'm standoffish - well, I am to a certain extent and to certain people whom I know thrive on information as food for gossip. So I just don't go there anymore. I'm friendly and open though to people I'm close to, a chatterbox. Yup, I'm selective. Very private about personal information and finances, especially the finances. People try to pry though...I'm good at not answering their questions and swerving around it - I just calmly make a comment/ask a question and that usually makes them forget what they asked me! MUSTANG, try being an aquarius venus and eros in the first, conjunct ascendant (inability to hide emotions) with moon in the 4th and yet having NN conjunct saturn in the 8th!! i TRY to keep my feelings private, i WANT to keep my feelings private but everyone knows them the second they occur! my face is made out of elastics! I have Venus in Scorpio in my 2nd house, & I am very secretive re. my financial matters.

When I read the suject line I immediately thought capricorn people. But I think it depends on what secrets or who those secrets belong too.
If it is about ourselves, maybe Capricorns.

I'm pretty secretive, but I prefer the words "private" or "discreet". And I think that right there shows a big part of why I'm that way - control freak.  Seriously, it's a basic part of my nature to be self-reliant and make decisions on my own. I'm not a collaborator. I can cooperate on temporary things, but I need to feel like I'm keeping most of myself to myself. I choose what to share, when to share it, and who to share it with, instead of being generally open. It's something I've tried to ease up on b/c sharing has its benefits too, and I would like to be more balanced in that way. Plus, I've received complaints. As far as what I have going on astrologically that could indicate being a private person: Scorpio Asc and Mercury, chart ruler (Pluto) in the 12th house conjunct my Sun/Moon midpoint, and all my planets on the left side of my chart. I also agree with what was mentioned about Cap. I have Venus in Cap and have always been very secretive about my romantic feelings, primarily b/c of the control thing...I like to act when I'm ready and make my own decisions, w/o other people interfering, including the object of my affection. Hi!I somehow feel identified with the theme of this thread. Im ultra secretive too - i cant help myself on being diferent - somehow i think that keeping things to myself ( mostly about me and my inner world) is much more easy to live with - then i find that if i tell anyone whats goin on ( complex things) with me, no one would understand. I also dind myself very discrete. Is this what you feel AgeoAquarius? Laso i dont tell secrets to others when its to keep hiden -i have kiron/Moon in the 8th

- Mercury at 12th ( should figured)
