i have this annoying habit of always wanting to remain friends with people even though theyve hurt me or ive hurt them or both, it doesnt matter how sh1tty it gets, friendship is very important to me...especially when it comes to ex lovers...

anyone able to relate to this?

this mentality and frame of mind to accept even traitors as friends is goood..for urself as u will save from all teh boiling anger, vindictiveness etc which eats u up..
secodnly , i find that i wud support ur idea -becoz i dont like unpleasantness and cofnrontations, acrimoonius quarrels, codl glares etc ..i can survive but it makes me very uneasy and on the edge of teh seat..
is it becoz too much of libra in my chart which always looks for maintaining friendhip???

Wow, thinking about your question stirred me up. I can only say, yes, I'm the same way. My ex was/is truly one of my best[est], most frighteningly closest friends... and I don't have many. We could read each other pretty well. I don't like the idea of losing those special 1 or 2 like-minded ppl who you are lucky to find in this humongous universe... and due to what? Holding a grudge...? I don't know. Maybe my outlook will change 5-10 yrs down the road...

Natally, I have Venus in Gem in 11th.
