I've always been interested in psychology and becoming a psychologist, however I really didn't want to got to school for 6 years. Now I'm in Business/Accounting, which will probably change again...I change my mind a LOT when it comes to my major!

I have a Scorpio moon and venus which are both conjunct pluto...I think that has a lot do with my interest in psychology.

Well....in the Pullen Astrolog, Virgo is the highest, followed by Scorpio. I luv psychology, it has opened my eyes to more things than I thought it would (more like fine-tuned my observations)

I took a class on behavior therapy, and it's pretty interesting...they included the marital and sex therapy, and when it came to the sex, people were well alert and asking more questions than in any other subject (Class was freakin' 8 in the morning)

I have jupiter sq pluto, MD at cappy, mars sextile pluto, and neptune sextile pluto (but i don't think the last aspect has much impact b/c it's generational)

However, I have pluto in my 7th house (some astro prgm said I major in relationships in this lifetime)....hence why I'm soooooo obsessed in learning how to read people's body language when they try to attract each other

I think psych is a great field......go into it, I'm sure u'll like it. And if not, it helps w/ business (u know, charming ppl into buying ur products)

Hey I'm a psychology major and biological sciences minor. I love forensic psychology, and I plan to go into that field. As far as why I love psychology I think it's because it's the aspect I love the most about it is that it looks into the hidden motivations of people. I think the aspects that do this are more pluto like than anything else. I have mercury and moon square pluto, sun and asc trine pluto, venus opp pluto, pluto in the 5th and jupiter in the 8th.

Oh well, I just graduated with a psychology degree.. and I find many flaws in the actual practice/ research system. So I'm not sure if I am taking that career route.

I think according to my placements I might be better in business or organization, but my interest does not lie there, what can i do?

Sun Libra 9th/ Moon Virgo 8th/ Cappy ASC/Mercury Libra 9th.

I think The Moon in the 8th in Virgo is pretty much good for the psychology/investigative arena, but I don't think I'm a very good counsellor. I'm just interested in/fascinated with the theory and possibilities of it. What with just one planet in a water sign? (Jupiter in Scorpio).

I'm just a nobody but I've been interested in psychiatry, psychoanalytic theories and basically, "psychology". Criminology as well.

I have Aquarius Sun in 4th house/Virgo Moon in 11th house/Libra ASC/Libra Pluto conjunction ASC/Aquarius mercury in 5th house.

It's sad but it's true that there are too many flaws in the field of mental health care and other related fields to begin with. I'm with you

But the human mind is fascinating nevertheless.

Um, I'm not going to be a double poster. I'm awaiting my new LL incarnation to become official. So, I'm not playing multiplicity here

I'm heading towards psychiatry, but I am still in med school. I fancy psychology as well.
~MC in Scorpio
~Psyche in the 10th
~Psyche conj MC
~Pluto singleton in the 9th conj Saturn (also singleton), chart ruler.
~Chiron conj Venus and angular (both)

Those are the most obvious, but there are other clues.
Best of luck to everybody!

Well then, since my Moon's in Scorpio in the 6th house and Pluto in Scorpio the 6th too, putting my Scorpio on the 6th house cusp, psychiatry would be good for me...I mean, I'd love to do psychotherapy.

I also have my Saturn and Uranus in Capricorn in the 6th, Conjunct.

I also think Mercury/Chiron(soft aspects) aspects are very good to have, your communication might be a healing agent for others.

I've always loooved psychology and after a few fits and starts along the way (namely school/training, non-profit agencies and having a baby) I realized my dream and started my own psychotherapy practice several years ago.

I love my work on so many different realms.

IMHO, I have a bunch of aspects that point to my career. Several Pluto, Chiron, Moon, Saturn, Merc & Sun contacts.

Aries Sun, Cancer Moon, Virgo Rising

eatbooks, isn't pluto in scorpio in 3rd house(libra cusp) trine chiron better than just, plainly, a mercury chiron aspect,? Or is it just a matter of interpretation and perception?

(i also have psyche in gemini in 10th and pallasathena in virgo in 1st house)

I think Pluto in the 3rd(in Scorpio especially) is a very good aspect to have, but must be positively aspected for its potency to take place. When you speak, people will listen with this aspect, as long as your Mercury isnt in a abrasive mercurial position...People who seeks psychologists need tender/kind words, but also forceful words to change something inside them...

One of my favorite quotes is "its not what you say, its how you say it"
if you, and anyone seeking the psychological profession, remember this, their healing capacity, is massive

Mercury/chiron is a very strong aspect I believe, but must be supported by other factors in a chart.

Chiron/Pluto/Mercury in general, I think is important. Virgos will always be #1 psychologists in my book. Scorpios being 2nd. Combine those signs together, i think you got one hell of a shrink.

Philosophy, history, and of course I lurve me some psychology... lol, I mean it is definately an interest of mine. Would major in it...but...my 'true love' lies elsewhere... <3

I think a lot of my chart aspects explain why; I'm naturally good at 'reading' people and their motives...I must say that I like knowing what makes people 'tick' and am quite good at seeing both sides to a situation.

Virgo Ascendant...yes, I'm very observant ;p...

3rd house cusp is Scorpio,
Mercury sesquiquare Pluto, Mercury square chiron...can make for 'harmful' or 'healing' words.

chiron (gemini) trine moon (libra)

My mercury is in pisces and in the 7th house; so I actually do like to try and see the situation from both points of view. Also, adding to this, my sun and moon are in opposing signs (sun in aries, moon in libra).

sun quincunx pluto (I wonder if that counts)

Ironically, my moon makes a very wide conjunction with my pluto (about 13 degrees away!); yet I have always felt its' 'intense' influence in my life...o.o...

Pallas square Pluto (I'm 'obsessed' with finding out "little" truths)

North Node conjunct (and parallel) my Mercury (I wonder how this will work).

Neptune in 4th house, I have read that this may helps one intuitively read others better.

and some other aspects...

Meh...well, Gemini is at my midheaven; so I know that communications are definately in my future, heh. Yet, it is my biggest 'fear' and challenge (mercury square saturn and chiron in gemini square north node in pisces).

Amelia,

I was told Sun quincunx Pluto gives analytical ability. I'd say that counts.

Thanks for the clear up, Maire31!

I do tend to OVER-analyze everything (well almost everything). It's both a positive trait of mine and...at other times, a negative trait of mine...

Quicunxes confuse me, it's a 'mix' of trine and opposition all "rolled" into one aspect...ehhh...

Keep up the good work.

Neptune5,

You said that you'd heard the Sun being in the 4th house may be an indication of a "natural psychologist"- I hadn't been aware of that so hadn't emphasized it, but my Sun happens to be in my 4th house.

Someone mentioned the Virgo thing. Apart from the Moon, I also have other planets/asteroid(s) in Virgo: Moon/Mars/Jupiter in Virgo, 11th house; Saturn in Virgo, 12th house, square my 3rd house Sagittarius Neptune; form a T-square with my 6th house Pisces Venus;

My Aquarius Sun's in the 4th, my Aquarius Mercury's in the 5th, trine my Libra ASC & my Libra Pluto (ASC conjunction Pluto); but my Aqua Sun and Mercury square my Scorpio Uranus in the 2nd, form another T-square with my Taurus Chiron in my 7th house.

But I suppose that probably also means that my 7th house Taurus Chiron sextile my Pisces Venus, and the former trine all my Virgo planets. My Chiron possibly sextile my Cancer Juno.

My MC is Cancer, where my Cancer Juno is, forms a trine with my Pisces Venus and my Scorpio Uranus.

psych major here...I love psychology. I like to take the science of it and work it into the metaphysical and artistic...the untapped realms of the mind fascinate me. I, above all things, want to heal. Virgo is on the cusp of my midheaven and my nnode is in aquarius in the third house.

I have sun, moon, mars, and venus in the 8th house. I thought that this would be more prominent in those who were fascinated with psychology. My mars and venus square my pluto. My sun and moon are in conjunction with chiron. Chiron is also in my 8th house.
