Cap mooners aren't naturally materialistic. They only turn to materialism to sate their emotional and security needs when they cannot filled them otherwise.

Healthy minded Cap mooners are likely to be the least materialistic people you could ever meet. They value relationships, family, community, principles, virtues, and devotion to this these things above all else. They're very cut-and-dry types who have no patience with things that they feel are extraneous or unimportant, and they stick to their values with stoic resolution. Money and material things to them are valuable only in that them provide from and serve what is truly important.

If you want an example of this, look at Johnny Depp. Yes he's been very successful and he's filthy rich nowadays, but you can't really call him materialistic. He's never been the one to do a movie for the money or the status. He always did the roles he felt fit his values and beliefs as an actor. He's known to be a very loyal friend and he's also very devoted to his family.

Ahhh I could go on an on about this. My bf, close friend and an old crush are all Capricorn moons and I gotta say OMG. My female friend isnt materialistic at all but my bf and guy friend definately are. Very work oriented, constantly worry about their careers, have the emotional capability of a sedementary rock...(sorry im a bit angry at him at the moment). Im a Scorpio moon and we battle for power constantly. Cappie moons are very loyal though and make good friends Id say.

Men with this moon often have a harder time with it than women. The moon is in its fall here, and so there are challanges. For men, the earthiness and lunar qualities combined may make it harder for them to figure out what's really important to them, or it may make them very insecure emotionally, causing them to overcompensate through things liek work or sports. Feeling of inadequency often plague Cap mooners, but especially men, who often feel they lack the emotional detachment that men are often expected to have.

For women, the earthy + lunar combo is much, mich easier to intuit. These tend tobe wopmen who are very realistic, even to the point it's painful. But they know what's what. Hopefully they have other aspetcs or other people in thei rlives to help lighten up their heavy, somber realism.

Yes, certainly insecurity is a challenge for any Cap moon, esp. men. Earth needs security, a sense of being settled, even confined. It needs to find its place. Without that, an earthy person feels a void and needs to fill it, for better or worse. Materialism is often one way.

My two friends of like 10 years are Piscean Cappies and yes omg it so kills the Pisces quality! As for my bf hes always working and always complaining about responsibilities and how I just dont get it! (that and our composite sun is in the 6th house) i wanna strangle him sometimes with all that...its like LIGHTEN UP ur a Gemini, Aquarius ASC liiightteeen up! I know im serious (Scorpio moon) but at least i like to enjoy life. I feel your pain Jupitergirl

Capricorn moon loves things real and genuine. That also goes for spirituality. I personality get on great with Pisces Mooners who are truly spiritual, not so well (or not at all) with Pisces Mooners who put on an act with little or no substance beneath it (the Neptunian illusion). In some ways I see them as a psychological burden that will soon become my own personal burden if I get too close.

I also have Mercury/Jup in Pisces. I love the good traits in Pisces Moon!

I've dated a Pisces/Capricorn and didn't feel he was unemotional but we had a Moon/Moon conjunction so it's a different situation I guess. It's all about perspective. It’s like that saying ‘someone’s rubbish is someone else’s treasure’.. I think that’s how it goes.
An Aquarius sun is also in its detriment but I've known some cool Aquarians (no ego issues there) Maybe I'm biased (11th sun lol)

I wonder if there is anything at all surrounding people can do to help a little or is it their lonely mountain they just have to climb by themselves?

Hi
I have Moon in Capricorn in the 4th house and Sun in Pisces.
I have to say i am not very materialistic, I just wanna live a full-fledged life. Money is not the aim, the aim is to be free with help of that money More money, more freedom, more life.
I think, many Capricorn Moons have problems with expressing of their feelings. You know, i was reserved and cool for many years. One day i undestood, that it is just disadvantageous to hide your own feelings. If you open your heart, people open their hearts. I think, it is so beautiful, when somebody is sincere.
In my opinion the real strength is to express your feelings without thinking "oh my god, they will think i am so pillowy, i will lose my face". In reality all that things are unimportant- if you are angry, be angry, if you are sad, be sad !!! Don't be afraid of yourself!
In addition i would like to speak about hard-working side of Capricorn Moons. I have noticed, Capricorn Moons tend to "forget" for some time about the soul, cause "there is so much work to be done". I had that attitude myself. You know, it is disadvantageous too. You can lose more, than you win. Soul and health are more important than any work! You are allowed to think more about yourself, than about work! Your soul is on the 1st place, work- far behind.
P.S. I have Mercury Conjunction Moon today. That's why i write so much.

I think the most important thing is always to ask "how are you?". If you show , you aren't indifferent, it will help much.

Hi! I think you can try to tell him that the work isn't the whole life and he can miss many beatifil things. It is senseless to give 100% all the time- he should just make, what is expected and nothing more! And in important moments he can show how good he is, in other time just do what is expected.

I'm a Cap moon, but it's in the first house. I went to IMAX Happy Feet with about 15 friends and relatives to celebrate my daughter's birthday and I had tears STREAMING down my face at the end. No one else cried. Not even my Pisces aunt or Cancer sister.
I also have a Cap AC.
I often joke that I'd cry when someone won a car on the Price is Right.
I'm just so happy for them

Wow, never thought of cap moons being so emotional before. I know a cancer sun with a cap moon and thought he was fairly self-sufficient.
