Idealism - usually the venus person would see the neptune person in some kind of unreal ideal light. The neptune person senses it, and over time feels compelled to keep up appearances of the ideal, often leading to hiding things from the venus person, or even outright lieing to them. These two planets combined can feel otherwordly, and sublime to both parties, which is addicting - and is the reason for the brutal rude awakening - the contrast between sublime and cold hard reality is awfully harsh. Keep your feet on the ground, and STAY HONEST. Otherwise, this could hurt like hell in time.

Then, in this case - it could mean, they're bad influences to each other in terms of addictions -they like to do drugs together, or drink, or gamble, or what-have-you. It could mean, one is sleeping with the other's wife/girlfriend behind their back. It could mean one is inspiring the other, or they're inspiring each other toward very soulfull creative expressions (like music)...Actually all this could apply to a 2 homosexual men as well, sans the sleeping with the other's wife/girlfriend.

Because in a relationship (between woman and man, woman and woman, man and man) it is often described as deception and unfaithfulness.
But composites can also be useful, I think, to describe a work relation.
My bf and his businesspartner for example have sagittarius neptune (06th) square virgo venus (05th).
I'm pretty sure I'm not sleeping with his businesspartner, and my bf isn't sleeping with his ex .
Businesspartner has no gf at the moment.
My bf did have to face their breaking up beginning of 2006, which gave some working troubles.
