When the Sun is in a water sign, the way of emotions is the way most in keeping with the person's inmost self. These people develop best through having an emotional relationship with their surroundings and by evaluating everyone and everything in terms of feelings. In Cancer, the element water is combined with the cardinal cross. The psychic energy is directed to the outside, and the assimilation of impressions and handling problems initially takes place by turning to the outside world and feeling what is going on there.
