I wrote a letter to Oprah today. Im hoping she actually reads and responds to it. What would be good aspects for this? Like I know theres a lot of aquarius flying around in the sky, so could that make my letter "stand out"...also personal transits...which would help me get her attention? Thanks in advance to any responses. First of all, I don't know why anyone would seek her advice (or that of her pawns- Dr. Phil and Rachael Ray).Secondly, no one of that stature reads their fan mail. No doubt she has interns (whom she surely doesn't even know by name) check her mail, and if anything is interesting to them, they MIGHT send it to her production staff or publicist, at which point you may receive a generic mass-response letter. If your problem is particularly bizarre or sappy, you may have a minuscule chance at the glorious misfortune of being exploited on her tv show. IP: Logged |

It is a bizarre/sappy story thats why I feel it has some some shred of hope of getting to her. But thanks for your attempt to crush my hope on the matter. Anyone have any astrological input?IP: Logged |

Attempt to crush your hope? Why do you think that was my objective? I just try to keep people realistic. IP: Logged |

I take it you don't like her very much. Why is that? What did she and her production team do to make you dislike them? Katie IP: Logged |

Katie-Honestly, I just think its really pathetic to watch those people embarrass themselves for what amounts to nothing more than common sense advice. Oprah is certainly a marketing genius, though. IP: Logged |

I love Oprah, shes great, most people need that sort of common sense thrown back at them in a style only Oprah can do...plus what Im asking isnt advice. Its a story. Not really even my story. Im writing on the behalf of someone else, which includes me. But mostly about them and their life. Dont be so judgemental of people on there....its hard enough to be human. IP: Logged |

So what your are trying to say is that it's silly that some people don't use their common semse.... but you have nothing against Oprah and her staff.... ok I understand you now heart: Katie IP: Logged |

Goodluck eatbooks! I think it's very good to share stories, and I don't see how Oprah exploits anyone. If you want you can make anything seem negative, it's all about perspective.IP: Logged |

Yeah, because building a school in Africa for young girls is really an exploit. What a selfish b!tch Oprah must really be. Seriously, as much as I don't like some of what comes out of her mouth...she's done some really good things for people; more than we can say for some of haters here. Keep sippin' that haterade now . for Oprah. Good luck Eatbooks!

Hopefully she responds. Many of them are so busy they don't get to. I once wrote to Hilary Clinton and she responded to me and admitted that she doesn't get to respond to everyone that writes to her. Good luck!

I'm totally sympathetic to you on this. We all need a little space in this world to have hope and think idealistically, and I agree you don't need anyone else dumping their petty, selfish cynicism on you. That's bad enough - what's worse is Scorp Web doesn't seem able to own up to his own cynicism or the fact he's rudely shoving it down other people's throats. And then *somehow* he has the nerve to act like he's doing you a favor. LOL. Who's not in touch with reality now? Anyhow, I hope your letter reaches someone on Oprah's team who'll take the time to read it and maybe pass it on to Oprah herself. Why shouldn't you hope for that? As for astrological conditin, I don't know. Maybe Jupiter in Sag's on your side, or tr Uranus in Pisces. Pray for the best either way.

Whoa, Gem Nymph, why are you making this personal with me? What is the matter with you?My "Petty, selfish cynicism"?? How can you connect "petty" and "selfish" to my comments regarding the low caliber rhetoric that spews from these shows? If you're going to critique me, be relevant. And no, I'm not trying to do anyone a favor; I'm speaking my view. Please back off of me. IP: Logged |
