Hey, peeps - this is to any woman here who have their Mars in the 5th:

1) Do you consider yourself aggressive in pursuing your relationships and attractions?

2) Do you sometimes intimidate men with how assertive and aggressive you are in pursuing them?

3) Do you shock and scandalize other women with how assertive you are with men and how you conduct your relationships and interactions with men when in public?

4) Are you usually the one to ask the guy out, rather than wait for him to get a clue?

5) Are you usually the one to end the relationship, especially if you've spotted a more attrctive opportunity elsewhere?

6) Are you pretty open about your sexuality? Do you flaut it? Or brag about your sexual prowess?

So do I! LOL. That's why I started the thread. There has to be someone around here with this placement.

BTW the way, this is in tandem with my earlier thread about my own Mars placement, which is in Aqua on right on the 6H cusp. I'm pretty sexually assertive and aggressive, if people around here haven't noticed. Seeing that's not that consistent with a 6H Mars placement, especially for a woman, I wanted to see if it's consistent with a 5H placement.

GN, I have a 5th house Mars, conjunct my Sun.

I've always been a total tomboy, climbing trees, wrestling (and beating!) my male cousins when I was a kid. As an adult, I'm still very athletic (I moonlight as a personal trainer), I lift weights, ride a motorcycle... and often... my male friends will say in incredulously "that's a total guy thing to say! you're such a guy!!!"... Which is pretty funny, because outside of the gym... my initial appearance is very classically feminine. I don't look AT ALL like a foulmouthed, beer drinking, weight-lifting tomboy.

Anyhow, sexuality. Obviously, I am very open and candid about sexual matters -- if you've read some of my recent posts you'd know that!

1) Do you consider yourself aggressive in pursuing your relationships and attractions?
I have a talent for making it seem like it was their idea, lol. I don't like overtly making the first move romantically, and really, I never do that. I pay them a bit of attention and say something funny... maybe a litle flirty and naughty and then they pursue me. I act surprised and flattered. Haha! But usually, I'm the one that pushes things along sexually... but I don't make the first romantic move... well, I do... but, well you know, lol. I do but I make it seem like I didn't

2) Do you sometimes intimidate men with how assertive and aggressive you are in pursuing them?
I think sometimes they get intimidated by how straightforward I am. They don't know what to make of it, it's like they think "is this a test? a trick question?"...

3) Do you shock and scandalize other women with how assertive you are with men and how you conduct your relationships and interactions with men when in public?
Definitely! In my marriage, my girlfriends would howl with laughter when my ex wold try to boss me around. I had no idea I was that funny (no audience behind closed doors!). I've had girlfriends say "I wish I say what you say"... I'm like, you can! Just be that. Say what's on your mind. It's really not what you say, but how you say something and frame it and most good, honest people appreciate you being straight with them, as long as you aren't obnoxious, or for men, emasculating. Let him walk away with his dignity. Mutual respect. You don't have to be a crazy, psychotic shrew.

4) Are you usually the one to ask the guy out, rather than wait for him to get a clue?
I will pursue a friendship, but i always make it seem like anything further was his idea... lol... Maybe it's my Libra rising giving me this veneer of coy femininity and diplomacy, lol.

5) Are you usually the one to end the relationship, especially if you've spotted a more attrctive opportunity elsewhere?
If I'm commited, then no. I don't see anyone else. It's like I'm blinkered, although I did end my marriage, but that wa because the way he treated me was unbearable, not because of another man. That said... outside of commitment, to be completely frank... I'm a total game player. I have no qualms about anything I do or how many people I see if I'm not committed to you. This was a big issue last summer for me with a guy who had feelings for me, but we were just friends. I had been seeing someone (the Cancer-Pisces)... but due to this other guy's feelings for me, I never told him about the Cancer-Pisces or the great sex we were having... I ended up severing the friendship because he was getting so retarded and I wasn't even dating him. I think my friend would feel betrayed by that, but frankly, I'm under no obligation to answer to him or tell him every detail of my life (he was a Cancer also). Anyway, I have been a little ruthless lately, but I don't lie to people, I tell them where they stand. Some people just don't want to hear what they don't want to hear though.

6) Are you pretty open about your sexuality? Do you flaut it? Or brag about your sexual prowess?
I'm pretty open. I'm make sexual jokes A LOT, lol. I love sexual innuendos in conversation. I'm a little childish like that. I always get a good giigle from some clever innuendo I don't brag about my sexual prowess, because as I like to say "everyone thinks they're good in bed! everyone thinks they are a good kisser!"... I mean, who ever said "oh, I'm a terrible kisser!, I'm a horrible lay!"... NOBODY! Everyone thinks what they do is great, because it feels good to them. But I am open about it. I have no hang-ups, I'm uninhibited. I love doing it with the lights on. I watch porn. I masturbate. No shame... lol.

[s]Do you have a 5th house Mars, Gemini Nymph?[/s] Guess not! The post wasn't there when I started

What sign is your Mars and is it the same sign as your 5H ruler?

My 5H is ruled by Cap, but I have Mars in Aqua right on the 6H cusp and conjunct Aqua NN that is in the 5H. I don't seem to be a 6H Mars person very much, but more of a 5h one. I'm still feeling this out.

I'm a bit of tomboy myself. I like "muscular" sports and activities, like endurance sports, hiking and lifting weights. I hate things like yoga - that drives me crazy because I need a more intense release of energy. Instead I do Qigong because it's continuous motion at least.

Sexually, I'm very assertive. I sometimes do brag about my prowess, even though I know it's obnoxious. I know noone wants to hear it - I just like that glowy high I get when I proclaim to the world I'm hot in bed. It's very self-serving. LOL.

I'm usually the one who takes control of the sex encounter, even when I'm in the more *ahem* passive position physically. I'm good at boosting the confidence in my sexual partners too, because of my own confidence.

My Mars is in Aqua, conjunct my Aqua Sun, but my 5th house ruler is Capricorn.

I know, I do it sometimes too, lol. Usually when I'm drunk. I am a very mouthy, verbose and sometimes obnoxious drunk. But everyone loves getting drunk with me and says I'm a hilarious drunk, especially when I cross over into obnoxious territory... so it's not too bad, I suppose!

It's just hilarious to me how many people will proclaim they are so good in bed, but then they screw up their faces at the mention of oral sex... or even something like doggystyle... "I'm so great in bed! Oh doggystyle??? I've never done it/too embarrased/that's kinky".... WHHHAAAATTT??? LOL.

Or people that are scandalized at the notion of doing it with the lights on... Wow. How boring. I want to see the action!

Sooo... since I've been running into all these people who make such a point of announcing how great they are in bed, but upon further inspection are obviously very dull, vanilla lays... I made a conscious decision not to ever brag!

Oh... and that Pisces with Scorp rising, the womanizer who, as it turns out has a very similar chart to Casanova... he was CONSTANTLY bragging.. about his penis, his body, his prowess... how most women "can't take me"... and since we never slept together, he would always say "you like me so much now, just wait til you see me naked!"...

WHATEVER!!! He was not that big, his body was nice but nothing amazing, and he was a two pump chump, through and through!!!

Can't take me, my @ss!!! LOL!

I personally don't like to have sex with the light on completely. Low lights yes, indirect sunlight, yes - bright lights are too harsh and irritating, takes away from the sensuality of sex, IMO. But yes, some light is good. Being able to actually see my sexual partner is very erotic. Sometimes sex in the dark's fun, but that's a once in a while thing, when the time is right.

I like "a little bit of everything," so the speak (I see no need to make a graphic list). A lot of the stuff I like is kinky to other people, but not kinky to me. I guess that's my Aqua mars. I had a guy freak out on me once simply because I asked him to bite me on my shoulder and back. How is that kinky?

I feel confident that I can back up my bragging. I have enough experience. I'm pretty sophisticated sexually so my grasp of sex is far from two dimensional. I don't get hung up on a lot nonsense that other people do about sex. If people want to roll their eyes at me, fine. It's not like I'm going to sleeping with them anyhow. The main thing I'm proud of sexually is that I'm fun and I can make it really enjoyable for both me and my partner, if he's willing. I can make a guy feel sexy and desireable, and I can show a guy more dimensions and depth to sex than he probably has experienced with anyone else. And I brag about that because I *love* being able to do that. Furthermore, I wouldn't know that I loved it so much if I couldn't do in the first place. LOL.

It's totally Aquarian of me too - I'm so airy, I *have* get a guy off intellectually as well as physically for me to feel it's really sex. And it's Aqua masculine fixed nature that makes me feel like I need to control the sex act, that it's up to me to get us both off. Guys seem to like that a lot - it takes the pressure off them so they can enjoy it more. It's all one incredibly sexy mind f*ck, Aqua style. I love it, and I've had no complaints from the guys so far, so hey. (Well, except that guy who wouldn't bite me, but he doesn't count. Damn Cancer wuss!)

1-)No

2-)No

3-)No

4-)No

5)I'am usually the one to brake up with my ex's, only if I see that the relationship is going no where! However, if the relationship is going somewhere productive, I won't brake it off; even if a better suitor is interested in me.

6)I find myself to be comfortable with my sexuality. I'm open. I don't brag, or boast I let my actions speak for themselves!!!

7) Extra* My Mars is in Scorpio!

Hmmm. Well, I think my initial hypothesis was probably off.

I guess I need to find more than house placement to explain my sexual confidence and aggressiveness and my seemingly unsatiable desire to *talk* about sex. Maybe my Sun conjunct Eros in Gem, perhaps? LOL.

I do know that having NN conjunct Mars "amps" up my Mars, but I wonder if Aphrodite adds to it as well? Aphrodite is in between my Mars and NN.

I think its GREAT that you can talk about it!!!

And as you probably know ...I FEEL THE SAME!!!

Its healthy and good to be open about your sexuality...

For a long time I was a little unsure being open and felt that I should keep things hidden...(sexy Scorpio's hidden depths and all that)

My Mars is in 2nd btw in earthy Taurus!!!

Yum!!

To whom it may concern-

Don't use "H" to denote houses.

"H" in astrology refers to Harmonics.

"5H" in astrology refers to the 5th Harmonic, or in other words, Quintiles. Houses have nothing to do with it.

360 (degrees) divided by 5 equals 72 degrees (a Quintile).

Another example: 2H means 360/2= 180. 180 degrees is an opposition. 2H means an opposition, not the 2nd house.

Calling the 5th house "5H" sends a confusing and wrong message.

P.S.- I'm a male with 5th house Mars, which makes a 5H (Quintile) to my Pluto (00.37') and Saturn (01.02')

Scorp Web - Please don't lecture us. The "H" shorthand for house is becoming pretty common among astrologers and has been for a few years now. I've been using it as a shorthand on other forums for at least a year myself, and no one has had an issue about it until you. Sorry if you don't like or find it confusing yourself, but I think it's pretty obvious from the context we're not talking about harmonics here. Sorry, but deal with it.

Gem Nymph-

You're the only person on this thread who wrote "H". I'm not lecturing them, I'm lecturing you. If astrologers are now starting to use "H" as "house" shorthand, then they are perverting a system already set forth and standardized many years ago.

Obviously I wasn't referring to the context of your post, Nymph. Clearly, I was talking about your use of "H" in application to your story's context. Again, please be relevant if you're going to critique me.

what's in a name? H cud stand for both...one can make out the meaning from the context. 5H mars doesn't make any sense if H were for harmonic....u don't say 'who has a conjunct mars?'.

both of u r right....the way i see it

Well, they're wrong. Simple as that. Somewhere they were misled, because "H" already has a meaning, so why confuse matters by assigning "H" to mean two different things, right?

Actually, I been to a site that uses "H" to represent "house". And I've also seen alot of people on these forums who've used "H" for house....why didn't you correct them? Personal vendetta maybe?

Why the F do you care anyways??? Both harmonics and House start with the letter H. And I don't remember any rule that states you can only use the letter H for Harmonic and not house.
