The guy I was seeing recently was an 9H Aqua Sun, and he could easily say yes to all those questions.

My brother is a 9H Leo Sun, and I could say he's all of those except the extreme wanderlust part - he's not much of a risk taker, even those he has all his personal planets except moon in the 9th. He has Saturn trining his Sun and merc, and his moon's in the 4th, so I guess that makes him more a "homebody." I'm almost the opposite of him in this way - I'm far more restless and more of a risk taker and "vagabond" than he is, and all I have in the 9th is Venus and Saturn.

Sun in 9th-ers:
Do you strongly identify with the ‘eternal daydreamer’ role? yes, I often space out and think of something else, especially in class
Do you 'suffer' from extreme wanderlust?yes, very! But my venus opp IC makes me very attached to home, it's a conflict
Did you often catch yourself staring out the window in school?yes
Do you find your sense of practicality often colored by Sagittarian idealism? yes too, i'm idealistic, and the best way to motivate me would be to make things sound fun, the pure fun kind of fun, like an adventure, or a new discovery. If I see things as a drudgery I can't complete it

But interestingly, talking about equal houses, my sun moves to the next house (10th), so I'm not sure this is valid. But I do identify with the sagittarian idealism, just not to an extreme (scales in check )

Saturn in 3rd-ers:

Do you loathe small talk or take pains to avoid it?
yes

Do you find it easier to take in information by reading books than by listening to people speak?
Both, If I get bored or stressed my brain turns off, and I float off into thought.

Or, do spoken words kinda fly through your head because it may be difficult to contain everything at once (i.e. seemingly low attention span)?
short attention span YES! unless I'm interested in something I find it very hard to concentrate on what some one is saying or what I'm reading.

Do you need to reread material a few times in order to be certain that you’ve fully processed it?
Only if its boring

Do you stammer or mutter a lot?
no

Do you consider yourself shy/antisocial or tend to wallflower at parties?
yes

Do you sometimes say things and then regret you'd opened your mouth in the first place?
doesn't everyone?

Saturn in 3rd-ers:
Do you loathe small talk or take pains to avoid it?
It depends on two things: my mood and who I’m talking to. If I’m in a “deep” frame of mind I have little patience for shallow frivolous conversation – I’m needing something with more philosophical protein in it. Or if it’s a good friend, I will chat about hairstyles, the idiots on TV or the weird weather.

Do you find it easier to take in information by reading books than by listening to people speak? Or, do spoken words kinda fly through your head because it may be difficult to contain everything at once (i.e. seemingly low attention span)?
Neither/both I’m a psychic (and possibly mental ;-) sponge. Any way it comes in, it gets soaked up. I’m primarily a visual learner, but audio works too – I can pick up a lot of information from voices. If I couldn’t learn something new every day, or re-investigate some deeper facet of a subject I’m already familiar with, I will wilt, shrivel, “die”. The 3rd House is the gathering of sensory input, and I have Sun, Mercury, Saturn and Neptune there. My attention span is pretty good, but it definitely depends on the subject matter.....

Do you need to reread material a few times in order to be certain that you’ve fully processed it?
I don’t need to, but I LIKE to. I catch some heretofore unnoticed nuance each time I reread something.

Do you stammer or mutter a lot?
Nope. What I say may be unintelligible or off-the-wall to others but I wouldn’t call it muttering….. have been told I have a weird sense of humor ;-)

Do you consider yourself shy/antisocial or tend to wallflower at parties?
Shy, yes. Antisocial, no. Wallflower, no – not with Pluto on my Leo Asc – people seek me out.

Do you sometimes say things and then regret you'd opened your mouth in the first place?
Absolutely!!! Mars in the 1st….. I’ve gotten much better over the years at putting my feelings out there and letting myself show vulnerability – used to be terrified of that…..

ME :Yes most of the time.

Do you find it easier to take in information by reading books than by listening to people speak? Or, do spoken words kinda fly through your head because it may be difficult to contain everything at once (i.e. seemingly low attention span)?

ME: I find reading books, or anything visual helps me better contain information, yes alot of times when someone is giving me instructions, I will repeat them out loud, because if I don't it won't stick.

Do you need to reread material a few times in order to be certain that you’ve fully processed it?

ME: There have been times when I will go over something in a book or manual just to make sure I got it right.

Do you stammer or mutter a lot?

ME: I wouldn't say I stammer, but there are the occassional muttering I do when someone makes me mad.

Do you consider yourself shy/antisocial or tend to wallflower at parties?

ME: When I first arrive at a party, yes I will be a wallflower, but it's only until I access the situation and know what to say to a person I am interested in talking to, then full steam ahead!!LOL

Do you sometimes say things and then regret you'd opened your mouth in the first place?

ME: All the time!!

Pluto in 3rd-ers:
Are you prone to negative thinking or are often excessively paranoid?
I am paranoid i will admit, and it is annoying for me and those in my surroundings, but i try to use my intuition in most shaky cases.

Are you prone to using macabre language?
Yes, and thinking thoughts that way and able to act upon them, even though i usually don't, unless needed.

Do the same thoughts run through your head to the point where you’ve forgotten your present situation? YES YES YES

Do the things you say sometimes leave others looking queasy or uncomfortable?
YES, and its hard sometimes.

When you learn something new that fascinates you, do you Google it right away?
Oh yes, i do.

Does your line of thinking undergo repeated upheavals? Sometimes.

Saturn in 3rd-ers:

I dislike small talk...i'd rather say something interesting and original if i am trying to relate to someone than utter banalities. In the past i have been known to take a different path just to avoid bumping into someone boring with whom i hv nothing in common and so wud have to resort to 'small talk'. (i'm in a college and walk most of the times). I go to great lenghts to escape boredom in any form ;-)

Do you find it easier to take in information by reading books than by listening to people speak? Or, do spoken words kinda fly through your head because it may be difficult to contain everything at once (i.e. seemingly low attention span)?

When it comes to math, yes i can't work out equations in my head like some people.
But otherwise thr's no problem
Attention span....hmmm...its extremely low with boring people. i drift off in my dream world. but my concentration is quite good.
i am a voracious reader. whn i was a teenager, i used to finish off one book in 1.5 days....used to just get absorbed in the book, wud forget eating, drinking....be oblivious to everything around me. my sister used tp exploit me during such times....she'd ask me 'can i have your chocolate' and i'd absentmindedly say 'yes'

Do you need to reread material a few times in order to be certain that you’ve fully processed it?
Hmmm....again, if its something tht i need to retain for a long time (like whn i am studying for a test) i prefer to write it out in my own words. Usually, once is enough to understand it though.

Do you stammer or mutter a lot?

No...sometimes tho i can't find the words to express my feelings even to myself. Talking to people helps sort out my own ideas. some of my most brilliant flashes of insight into my own nature have come through discussion with others.

Do you consider yourself shy/antisocial or tend to wallflower at parties?
YES!!! i dont like to go to parties where i dont know anyone. I don't like to socialize for the sake of it. hanging out with friends is cool tho. now don't ask me how i make those friends in the first place ;-) i believe that friendships 'happen'.

Do you sometimes say things and then regret you'd opened your mouth in the first place?

Hah...not often....very rarely....most of the times i regret NOT opening my mouth when i should have.

Pluto in 3rd-ers:
Are you prone to negative thinking or are often excessively paranoid?
- i don't necessarily take things as negative or positive. there is a good and bad to every situation. excessively paranoid? well, i do things because i either want to or not and not because it is good or bad but the whether or not i want to is a bit excessive. sometimes, when things aren't going so great - i may think of an "out" an "or" and then an "and" which helps me break out of excessiveness. i'm use to it now.

Are you prone to using macabre language?
- i can sometimes understand people who speak any language, i usually don't have a problem understanding someone who speaks with a thick "foreign" accent, as if it's not a foreign-to-me language at all and like to guess what an animal or plant is saying or "thinking". like the comics with the bubbles with words in them, since i'm a ton of those. everyone and everything has something to "say". that can be looked on as weird. i don't remember lyrics to songs at all and i usually change it up to my own which sometimes aren't very "proper/nice".

Do the same thoughts run through your head to the point where you’ve forgotten your present situation?
- Not to the point of forgetting my present situation but yes, thoughts run through my head A LOT and they aren't always the same thoughts - it helps when i'm physically working on several things at once

Do the things you say sometimes leave others looking queasy or uncomfortable?
- YES - and i get the "absolute silence" reactions as well - i am still not comfortable with it but it happens very often. i'm learning not to beat myself up for that.

When you learn something new that fascinates you, do you Google it right away?
- YES - i like to research but swiftly without staying stuck on just one google search

Does your line of thinking undergo repeated upheavals?
- YES, it does right after the quiet periods which are few and far between

Thanks, all of you... neptune, ILWL, amisha, comica, Lchoice... I've read everything and have some random questions, but I would like to look again more carefully and ask later.

Lchoice: I haven't had the chance to photobucket my eq-H chart, but here is the placidus one: [deleted link]

I may also be confusing the effects of house placements with those of planetary aspects. o_O

I have a 9th house sun and 3rd house Saturn

Sun in 9th-ers:
Do you strongly identify with the ‘eternal daydreamer’ role?
I would say yes somewhat. When my Scorpio moon doesnt get me down im big on daydreaming and always wishing for something.

Do you 'suffer' from extreme wanderlust?
Yes and No. I suffer from extreme spiritual wandrlust im always looking for the right set of beliefs, philosophies ideas etc. I do like to travel but only with a big group and stuff. Crave it sometimes but dont care too much for it.

Did you often catch yourself staring out the window in school?
Yea all the time. Its all i do actually everywhere. Stare out of windows. LOL

Do you find your sense of practicality often colored by Sagittarian idealism?
No because im not that practical to begin with. I vacillitate sometimes from being really practical to really idealistic and so on back and forth.

Saturn in 3rd-ers:
Do you loathe small talk or take pains to avoid it?
Not at all. I enjoy it here and there, makes the day go by quicker and makes people more comfortable with each other. I have no problems with small talk

Do you find it easier to take in information by reading books than by listening to people speak? Or, do spoken words kinda fly through your head because it may be difficult to contain everything at once (i.e. seemingly low attention span)?
I do have a low attention span but if the person giving the lecture does it more in a form of story telling or uses examples to back it up i learn way better from listening than reading. Perhaps twice as much

Do you need to reread material a few times in order to be certain that you’ve fully processed it?
No i hate rereading stuff if it wasnt interesting or i didnt understand it. I most likely skim

Do you stammer or mutter a lot?
Not at all

Do you consider yourself shy/antisocial or tend to wallflower at parties?
Noooo Gemini rising Libra takes the cake for that one. Not antisocial one bit

Do you sometimes say things and then regret you'd opened your mouth in the first place?
Yes thats a biggie. Very often come to think of it even though i usually think before i talk

-Yes, yes, yes, and yes to all the above questions. I'm a huge daydreamer. I also have Sag rising....I'm probably the messiest person ever, even though I'm a Virgo.

hey neptune5

"amisha, whats your 3rd cusp and what sign do you have pluto in? any cool aspects?" What is yours neptune5?

I have libra on the cusp of my 3rd house/scorpio on my IC - my eighth house cusp is pisces - my pluto is in libra at the very beginning of the 3rd house

I have a few aspects - i'm in the midst of understanding, accentuating and accepting the "cool" parts of them despite battle zone and upcoming upheavel:

Pluto conjunct true node in libra (at the very end of 2nd house)
Pluto inconjunct MC in Taurus

Sun in Sag (5) quintile Pluto
Moon in Aries (9) oppose Pluto
Venus in Sag (4) sextile Pluto
Mars in Leo (12) sextile Pluto
Saturn in Virgo (1) semi-square Pluto
Uranus in Scorpio (3 - only 3 and some change degrees from IC) semi-sextile Pluto
Neptune in Sag (4) sextile Pluto

cool thread teaologist (per your name) - could you recommend (or direct me to a site)a tea that is as strong of an "opener/cleanser/sweeper" as peppermint tea and one that could be of equal satisfaction as nicotine? I love tea much less peppermint tea, peppermint soap especially during the summer months, mostly anything peppermint.

Hi amisha,

Satisfying as nicotine, not so sure if I can help you with that, hehe. I like the peppermint too, but haven't tried much of it except for the good ol Lipton. I really like the nice pick-upper flavor though. I get most of my teas from Ten Ren. If you run a search, they have peppermint. Maybe the next time I go to the shop, I'll pick up a box and let you know what it's like.

For cleansing/sweeping purposes, ti kuan yin, tung ting oolong, and regular green. I think ti kuan yin has an 'opener' effect because it has a decent amount of caffeine, but a lot of ppl find the flavor a bit bitter. I use it as a substitute for coffee, but if you're a heavy coffee drinker, I'd imagine ti kuan yin to put you to sleep instead... my caffeine threshold is relatively low, espresso makes me go O_O, so any kind of oolong will pick me up nicely. For flavor and soothing purposes, genmai cha and white teas. I like the cold canned stuff too. Pokka has peppermint as well. I haven't seen that one at the market, but I'll keep my eyes open.
