I understand "retrogrades" for planets to mean delays, higher chances of bad luck and more negative thinking/negative perspectives on the matter governed by the planets than positive thinking. Same can apply to asteroids.

Asteroids are very subtle in their effect and according to my research, it is the name frequency of the asteroid than the gravity which affects the subtle centres of our Mind that relate to the said name frequency in the collective human psyche.

Hence, DNA Asteroid relates to the human psyche's perspective on human genome/genetics in general and our persepctive and opinion of our DNA in particular.

Valentine conj Valentine is a very blessed aspect, retrograde or not. Conj Neptune adds a dreamlike ethereal all encompassing nature to the love effect. Lust conj North Node indicates that your destiny/lifepath can be fulfilled if you help him out with the understanding of his Lust.
If the male native is your son, then you have to help him sort out his sexual issues as a counsellor.
DNA opposed to Sun may mean that he has not inherited your core personality genes.

The alternate interpretation using past life connection is that you both were lovers in the immediate past lifeline. Juno conj Juno indicates that you both could have been a happily married couple in the past life.

It would be wise to check out asteroid Karma (3811), Isis (42) and OSIRIS (1923) as well, to see if they make any synastry aspects.

I would like to see both charts if you dont mind because the synastry "trailer" you have mentioned is likely to be a hit movie of a happy life together. Also, if you both are of same age, then you must be aware of heavy planet transits etc.

Iqhunk, I just wanted to say that I'm in awe of your knowledge & capabilities; you're a real astrology whiz!! I also wanted to ask you where you find all this amazing information about these asteroids, these obscure ones (to me at least), and where one must look to find what quality that asteroid (or asteroid contact) brings? Is this from your own research?

For instance, after reading what you'd said to moggym, I looked up Karma in my synastry chart with someone, and was amazed to find his Karma tightly conjunct my DC, and my Karma conjunct his Neptune! (My Psyche is on his Valentine, and his Juno conjuncts my Valentine, and I'd never thought to look these up before!)

Then, I know most people don't give a lot of weight to asteroids in synastry, but I do believe they have an effect. I don't know if it's due to our Neptunian natures (he's Pisces, I'm a Cappy with Neptune on my AC & Venus in Pisces), but me & my love have always communicated well on a more intuitive level, even though our Mercuries square one another means we don't communicate as well verbally, because of our Psyche contacts - my Psyche conjuncts his Moon while his Psyche conjuncts my Sun. So I do believe that they add a whole other dimension to astrology that isn't readily apparent with a simpler analysis.

But then, you have all these asteroids being added on almost a daily basis by people - how do you think these compare to ones that have been around longer? Do you think that perhaps these new additions might come to grow in effect due to their name frequency resonating with something in our psyche?

1943 Anteros: Love returned
2101 Adonis: Spellbound love; this is a potent tie & signifies desire to please the beloved
80 Sappho: A very passionate connection

And newer objects, centaurs, planetoids will affect our group human mind just as Asteroids affect the individual. (Asteroids being just outside the personal planets.)

On a day of a well aspected PALLAS in my chart, I discovered the proof of Asteroid's name frequency affecting humans as well as the destiny of which name frequency gets attached to which Asteroid being independent of time. I posted the research in Free For All months ago but it did not attract much interest. The proof is astronomer Norman Pogson. Pogson discovered ISIS on May 23 1856. Later he had an asteroid named after him. The Asteroid Pogson was so significant in his chart when he discovered Isis, infact Ast Pogson and Isis were exactly 120 degrees apart (decades before the object was named Ast Pogson). Note the Divine Signatures in this discovery for seekers of astrology.
Norman Pogson was born on a 23rd, died on a 23rd and discovered his first asteroid ISIS on a 23rd. On this day, the still to be named asteroid-Pogson was on the 23 degrees of Scorpio! Can this be random chance?

Since then, I have relentlessly researched asteroids on my own plus off the any and every website I could find. Several threads exist here with hours of my research but I cannot locate all of them. Hopefully, I will list out the top 100 Asteroids and some precise observatiosn about them.

One thing about asteroids is that only when you get the Higher Self permission to tune in will it benefit you. For example, a Chinese electrician working in Japan has no use in knowing where his GIZA or ISIS or ANUBIS is. However, if an accidental shock gets him a past life awareness of his life in Ancient Egypt, then all egyptian tradition asteroids are a compuslory study for him to grow spiritually. He will then need to know about all aspects of ISIS, OSIRIS, HORUS, ANUBIS, SEKHMET, GIZA, SPHINX, IMHOTEP, NEPHTHYS etc.

Likewise, Yoga/TAntra/Kundalini enthusiasts like me find great use and wisdom from asteroids KARMA, KAALI, SIVA, SOMA, GANESA and PARVATI.

I have not studied it but Asteroid ACTOR will be very well aspected in the charts of successful actors. I just looked up Tom Hank's chart AFTER I made this apriori assessment about Asteroid Actor. It is trine Venus precisely, conjunct Neptune and is on the second house cusp (tons of cash through acting ).

Acting greats may well have Asteroid Musa (representing the Muses) conjunct ASteroid Actor and trine Neptune/Moon, and they will never know it. It is upto future astrolgers to unravel the full mystery.

Currently, Moggy is undergoing a Jupiter transit on Valentine and a Pluto transit on Lust. What a combo!
Lust opp Ascendant so expressing lust or coming to terms with sexual needs could have been difficult for quite some time.

My first experience of meditation was when I around 5yrs old with my Mum at the Siddha Yoga Ashram in Melbourne....I have had various extraordinary experiences over the years, and started to see Auras/Recall some pastlives after receiving Shaktipat from Gurumayi when I was 15. Yes, but it seems to be the problem of 'appearing' lustful even when I am not...You know, just being friendly and having it taken the wrong way.....So, have had problems in the past of attracting men who focus on just that aspect of me...Has taken a while to move past it...

It was about my fascination with asteroids, how it does make sense that they would affect those more deeply for whom it was ingrained in their psyche, and those who felt some resonance with the name, how amazing it was about Ast. Pogson perfecting trine with Ast. Isis on the day he discovered it, etc., etc. I think I also asked you, Iq, how you got into researching all this; if it was for college initially, or all out of pure interest.

It was a long post, but I guess it was not meant to come through tonight. I also had somethings to say about Svoboda's books (they're truly something else, and my parents wouldn't let me read them a few years back saying I ought to wait until I was older, though my mum did toss me some tantalizing tidbits); perhaps it was not meant to be posted... That's ok. I'll live, and take the hint...

I also said that I've been studying asteroids in my own chart thru the past couple years, to see if Karma, for one, figures prominently since I've had a very rough 2 years (just survived my Saturn Return and trying to land on my feet again). And, I don't want to prevail on your nice nature, but if it isn't too much trouble, Iq, could you pls. take a peek at my chart too? If you think you can spare a few, I'll post it here..

I also had some comments for you, Melindy, which got lost. It had to do with your experience with meditation, and if you still practise it? I know just what you mean about lacking objectivity in your own case, because I find that too - in astrology, for instance, when I'm able to see another's chart clearly, I find myself in a fog when it comes to my own, and it's like I've forgotten the basics, and am unable to find deeper interpretations to the aspects laid out there. Do you find that too, Iq? Do you have to go to someone else to interpret your chart?

It just happened, professionally I am a Computer Geek and a Business Expert and ethnically from an Islamic background. Astrology, Yoga, Gnosticism et al just happened thru mysterious circumstances.

My first proper chart interpretation was done in Oct 2005 by Tim Wilson when I started studying serious astrology. Even to this day, when someone else looks at my chart they discover facts that I easily find in other charts yet miss out in my own chart.

Svoboda's books are unique, no other books of such a kind exist on Kundalini.
The books were introduced by Robert Masters, an expert on the way of Sekhmet and a visonary in Neurological Psychic Studies/Neuro Magic.
Another author is Stewart Swerdlow, whose experiences with Aliens and US Govt. secret mind control agencies at Montauk helped him develop a full treatise on human origins, 13 alien strains represnting 12 Zodiac Signs and a hidden structure of Ophicheus/Reptilian system.

Had a look at these in your chart...Both Astrowizard (17deg Leo) and Astronomia (15deg Leo) are hanging out with your Saturn (14deg Leo). This clearly suggests to me that you have done this work before.....We are seeing the continuation of knowledge that you have gained in prior incarnations.....
Urania (10deg Sco) is conjunct Uranus (7deg Sco). This suggests that the information you obtain occurs suddenly, inspirationally and independently....The Scorpio placement offers psychological depth and an awareness of the continuation of life and death...

In my own chart, Stargazer is conjunct my Venus (12deg Vir), Astrowizard completes my T-square (25deg Cap), Urania (22deg Gem) hangs out with Aura (25deg Gem) and my ASC (27deg Gem).....

Iqhunk am still working my way through the links that you posted....Have had some Kundalini experiences which I will mention later on after I have finished my reading....'Premature Activation', I love it!!! Barbara Hand-Clow talks a bit about this in her book 'The Liquid Light Of Sex'. She is an astrologer who has focused a lot on Chiron......Well worth a read...

I have always had a 'Thing' for Ferrari and Mercedes cars, they are beautiful...
Now I have Mercedes (1136) exactly (I kid you not) conjunct my Saturn!!!! Iqhunk does this mean I don't get a Mercedes?

And if I have Ferrari (4122) exactly (again I kid you not) conjunct my Sun/Moon Midpoint does it mean that I get a Ferrari? LOL

*edited* OMG, i see that moggym drew the same conclusions after looking at Astrowizard and Astronomia in your chart; those conjunctions to Saturn are so close in degrees too, so it is quite obvious!

And, thank you for looking over my chart, Iqhunk! My birth data is as follows: 03:08 AM, 01/18/77, and while there hasn't been an exact match for my name, I find that the asteroid Sunshine works - 3 or 4 people have given me this nickname, independently of each other, so it seems to work for me! The birthdata for the guy who I've had this complicated, complex relationship with, is 2:30 AM, 03/13/79; Ast 2488 works for him. My journey for much of the past 5-6 years has been directly or indirectly tied to him, and we have a strong psychic link (his Psyche conjuncts my Sun while my Psyche conjuncts on his Moon/NN conjunction).

I didn't realize there was a connection between RObert Masters and Svoboda!

moggym, I try to meditate regularly too, and most times it helps me as I do that before going to sleep; it's the reason I sleep as well as I do in spite of all the ups & downs (more frequent of late) in my life. But a couple nights back, I had an odd experience - I had read about cutting astral ties, and tried to do this because I thought these might be holding me back, but I probably didn't do it right, and I found myself crying uncontrollably at 1 in the morning, unable to stop. I decided to hold off on experiments of this sort until I know how to do it right. Until then, I guess I have to deal with the karma through regular channels.
