I have noticed from the posts so far that a lot of people in this website are very artistic in some way, and a lot of people think it is a direct effect from their astrology signs, houses, placements or whatever you guys call it ( I am not being sarcastic, i am just not up to speed with all of you, and I haven't had time lately to read anymore on this)

But... could it be that people that are actually into astrology are in fact the most artistic and in touch with nature and this is why there are so many of us here, and it really doesn't much matter what their astrology readings say.
In other words, are there any people in here that don't do any type of writing, art , music in here either as a hobbie or professionaly. You know , the ones that watch sports and sit in front on a TV drinking beer.Or the ones that are very scientific and only go by facts in their life, like a mad scientist LOL or just plain office/bank people that go from home to work and back and don't really do anything else.

I hope I am not offending anyone because I don't mean to offend anyone....REALLY!!! I don't! ....I just have an observation to make and I am doing it by asking the key questions.

Don't lynch me!

hehe...tht's a nice observation NAM.

i mean u wud expect ppl who r interested in astrology to be the more introspective types, wudnt ya...also a bit more unconventional, to be interested in astrology in the first place. and well if they went by cold facts, then they wudnt believe in astrology now, wud they?

william - and I believe you underestimate the rational faculties that are necessary to be creative. Every creative person most be able to make rational choices if they are to produce anything fruitful with their creativity.

I think there may be a connection. Astrology is an very intuitive science, and it requires imagination and creativity to understand. In many ways, it's very abstract. There's a lot to astrology that cannot be so readily observed by standard, empirical methods. So we often need our imagination to get our heads around this stuff. I'm not talking about making it up as we go along or simply talking out our a$$es. Imagination plays a big key in any form of abstract thinking, be is science, math, philosophy, religion, or more occult subjects. Even if we are simply reasoning, which is the prime form of abstract thinking, we are engaging our imagination to some extent.

I know for me, astrology is an outlet/inspiration for my creative expression and intuition, as much as for my intellectual curiosity, need to problem-solve, and my fascination with abstract systems.

There's also the angle that creative people are more open to experience, because we are so eager to be inspired. I know that's a draw for me too. But I think you have to be fundamentally more open to be interested in astrology, seeing how astrology is so commonly percieved in our society.

I believe this is the first reason why I started getting interested in astrology, well, that and the Crowley-Page myth.

William, as I said I am not here to offend anyone, but as intuitive as I am, I am also always looking for rational explanations to things/situations, If I can't find them I don't disregard, I just feel my answers until hopefully one day I can make some sense of them, and I usually do.There is always a reason for things.
