A Gemini friend of mine is very hopeless about his future. He is not pleased and satisfied with his job. He works in a private company doing creative stuff on music, but this is not what he wants to do. I guess he wants to do something bigger such as reaching out people, and more people. However he lacks self -confidence and he thinks he doesnt have stability on this issue, and he seems to be very tired even weary to fix this situation. He needs encouragement from you people and wonders what you will tell him about his issue by looking at his chart. By the way we are also interested in our synastry. There are interesting aspects. He will be reading everything you write here. Thank you

(Gemini)- That would be fine actually, because this is what confuses me; I have intensive interest on some things and this intensive interest goes beyond being the follower of these things. For example; i am able play more complicated tracks than tracks that a standard person who has a hobby of playing music instruments will be very happy to play (He plays the clarinet). I draw caricature, and the caricatures i draw are smarter and more comely than most of the other caricatures which we come across in comic books. I dont say this. This is people's comments. But the problem is; I wonder if i really have this potential, or Do people say these things just to boost my morale?
(Aries)- Well, if you can do all these things you mentioned, then this means you do have a great potential. However, having potential is not enough to make your dreams become true. Before anything else you need to have confidence in yourself and your skills. And if you want to share these skills with people, you have to fight for this. If you are just content with the comments of people telling yourself that you have skills, you cant make your mark on world even you do have a potential. I say, do not waste your artistry. All you have done by now is wasting your artistic abilities, just like me.

SLAYER, for your Gemini friend, I asked the following question:

"Tell me what I need to know about finding the best job for my highest good and greatest joy"' and I got~4th House.

Examine what you believe it would take to make you feel secure in your work and career. Then formulate a plan to bring that security into your life.
At some time in the near or distant past your efforts to gain career advancement were made from a position of desperation. You did not allow yourself what you thought was the luxury of addressing your own needs. Now that way of thinking and acting is no longer appropriate. In face, if you do not take the time to stop and think about what it is that would really make you feel secure, you will put a roadblock in the way of your new career success. You cannot get what you want until you know what you want, so you must become aware of what it is that will make you feel secure. Once you are clear about that, security like you have never known can be yours and more quickly and you would ever think possible.
It is important that you do not take any unnecessary risks for a while. There are opportunities for career advancement all around you, but you must feel safe and protected to make the best use of them. You don't have to go far from your home and family to find what it is you have longed for. Working at home would enable you to spend more time with your family, which is exactly what you should do at this time. Not only would you be able to devote more attention to your support system, but also you would best be able to examine your feelings about your home and family. Your relationship with your family holds the key to when you will finally be achieving the kind of new and exciting career you have been waiting for.

I hope this helps. Best of luck to your friend.

aquaspryt69 - When he looked back at the years he had wasted he though he could have at least one album and a steady column on a magazine by now if he was headed for his actual interest over the past years. Now he works in an unexciting and soul-destroying office and he uses 1/10 of his creativity in this job. He told me some thing parallel to what you wrote on here. He told me that he should spent more time at home trying to improve his drawings and playing clarinet. So he knows what he wants to do, but his lack of self-confidence holds him back from a fresh start. Maybe it is his Mars/Venus conj. opposes his Pluto which pressurizes his artistic abilities. By the way i am happy to get a response from you. Thanks

*edit*
He also told me that once he wanted to be enrolled in conservatoire, but his family discouraged him and kept him from gaining admission to there.

SLAYER, sometimes we don't think past a certain point. His family discouraged him and kept him from enrolling in conservatoire. Ok, so he allowed them to make choices for him? Maybe this was a good choice. Who knows how it all would have went? He could have wound up in a worse situation if he had gone. No one will ever know coz he never went.

He did not allow himself what he thought was the luxury of addressing his own needs. Maybe it's time he should.

I'm not trying to judge him in any way. I'm just very aware of the excuses we humans come up with for why we do or don't do things. I, too, have given others the authority to make decisions for me and then blamed them when things didn't go as I had planned. I have only myself to blame for letting others have the power to make choices for me, as does your friend.

Find what it is that you want and that will make you happiest and make a plan to get what you want.

I'm a 5th house gemini sun, so naturaly i'm drawn to media...

Its a shame he doesn't like working in the music scene when it comes to movies and media, sound is the most underappreacted element in movies and games.

Watch a movie and then put it on mute, you'll notice how the sound compliments various forms of media.

Anyway, if he likes to help people maybe he should try teaching music for games.

I'm curently enrolled in game design, and its a growing field, good returns and I could haved used a good sound design teachers like him.

Just my thoughs.

Slayer,

You said:

quote:

If he knows what he wants to do, he should do it. Find some time when he can play his clarinet and do his drawings, set up a time when he will do this EVERY day...and do it. This is not an issue of confidence, it is an issue of will power. If he wants to do it...it WILL happen.

Willing it,

Tim

Bornunderdioscuri - Hi It is very interesting, would you mind telling how you deal with him since you are experienced with this combo. Gemini-Cancer-Aquarius?
Thethirdbenjamin - Thank you for your thoughts
wilsontc - Can we analyize his chart if possible ofcourse?
He was actually seeking for an astrological advice. He wants to be sure astrologically if he really has the potential. This is why i told him we should ask people here. We are also interested in our synastry. I hope i am not asking too much.

Here are some interesting aspects he has;
Mars/Venus conj. opposes Pluto
Neptune conj. MC
Jupiter conj. IC
Uranus oppose Mercury
Moon in 5th house.
Has a kite...
....
Our synastry;
My vertex conj. his Neptune
My Uranus conj. his Neptune and MC
His Mars/Venus conj. conjunct my MC
....

Well for the most part I tell him to figure out what he wants to do. Since he's still in college its as easy as changing a major because he picked a major that he is clearly unhappy with and its so not him. But he swears its okay and he thought about it a lot. Who knows let him get his first job if he really hates it he will change it.

Im just curious what a Gemini Cancer Aqua would be like since my bf is a moon in Capricorn and he is just SOOOOO stubborn and detached from his feelings.

Actually it's been two months since i met with him, and we became friends. I dont really have a complete opinion about him. So far, i can surely say that he is a very nice guy. He is very talented, especially in arts, and music. He has a very curious personality. He is not very patient because of this i suppose. I think he will be more peaceful if he finds the chance to express his uniqueness. He has just woke up from a sleep which was a fake serenity in his words. I hope he finds his way to success. I feel bad that i couldnt get an astrological advice for him here. I appreciate all the responses and want to thank you once again. By the way, BornUnderDioscuri it would be great if you still want to add input on Gemini-Aquarius combo, without considering the moon sign.

hmm Gemini Aqua combo. Well i will say they are soooo goofy. Like most Geminis are goofy but those to the extreme. They also do care for people even though they like to say that they don't. Very good friends for sure, always there to help their friends you can rely on them. Not the best combo in a relationship because they are so detached from their feelings.

slayer,

Using Noel Tyl's Midheaven extension method:
- Sagittarius modifies Midheaven (outer world)
Jupiter is in Gemini (ruled by Mercury)
Mercury is in Taurus (ruled by Venus)
Venus is in Aries (ruled by Mars)
Mars (being, also action) is in Aries
He is very active in putting himself out in the world

- Neptune (spirituality, also artistic) conjuncts (Midheaven)
He is artistic in the outer world

- Sun (self-expression, also performing arts) conjuncts (energy is combined with) Jupiter (expansion, also opportunity) is opposite (energy is over-excited by) Midheaven
Jupiter conjuncts (energy is combined with) his Nadir (inner world)
Outer world opportunities come from focusing on his inner world and his self-expression

- Venus (physical, also personal money) focused in the 2nd house (physical, also personal money) conjuncts Mars (being, also action) trine (energy goes easily with) Neptune conjunct Midheaven
He can take action making money with his artistic gifts

- Saturn (duty, also career) trines Neptune conjunct Midheaven
He can easily have an artistic career in the outer world

- T-square (strong energy) between the nodes focused on Moon (home) focused in the 5th house (self-expression, also performing arts)
His home can help to develop his self-expression

STOP

Those are some of the things helping him be a performing artist. Now all he has to do is use them the way he knows he should use them.

Answering astrologically,

Tim

Thanks T,

Thats what i though he should go to media art, he seams more creative then me.

In a way he does sound a bit like me but not completly, question for you what is? what exactly does he do?

And what kinda of creativity does he have is he more of a tradional artist say hand painting or more towards Computer Generated art?.

I'm more towards Computer Generated art say 3D Modeling because of my capirorn rissing and being serious.

Thethirdbenjamin - Well, he plays the music instrument clarinet and composes music. Additionally, he writes words for the music he composes. There are other things he writes independently from these. He also draws caricatures, the ones we see in comic books. I can share some of his works if he allows me to do. Are you interested?
BornUnderDioscuri - *hugs* thanks!
Wilsontc - I am very happy to learn things from you, sincerely. You never rejected me.

Intresting.... half the guys in my class are either rally good tradional hand drawn artists or are rally good C++ programers.

I'm not the best at either, but i'm well rounded enought that i can do both.

Has he tried editing his music on a PC?
check this site down theres a free software you can use to capture your own sounds onto a pc.

A lot of things happening lately. A lot of confusing things. I wish you were here now, we would talk till morning. Because, there is so much to say. And also school began, spring semester. So I cannot find much time to log on net. The Gemini is more hopeful and ambitious about his future now. He is working very hard. And this is something I really like about him. There is another thing happened, yes!, about him. Oh! I am so confused, I dont know what to do. And I am a bit scared. I think I am in trouble. How have you been lately? *big hugs*
