im curious on everyone's opinion on the best time for having a kid, please put your sun/moon/rising out of curiousity.

In my opinion, I would have to say anywhere from 27-32.

25-35, but in all honesty some people will never be ready for kids.

I wud hv said 25-27 if asked when i was 23, but now i am not even ready for marriage at that age (i'm 26 now) so my revised opinion is that by 29 i'd like to have my first kid

I'm the oldest and mum had me when she was 28 so when I was little I always thought I'd have my first baby at 20.

And I did.

I want to have 2 more kids when I'm in my early 30s although the age gap will be interesting. My mind isn't made up about when the 'best' time to have kids is, I didn't think I was young when I had mine but in hindsight I definately was. Both my kids weren't planned (although much wanted once they arrived) and its only been in the last few months I've actually WANTED to have babies with someone. Can't decide if its simply my age or meeting the man whose babies I wanna carry thats influencing me!

I just turned 28. I wouldve liked to have my first kid by 30. But Im thinking 31-32 is more realistic because I have to get married first, pay off my loans, get a house, a more reliable car and have money to spare.

For other ppl, it really depends on their situation...If they've been married for at least 2 years and have the material necessities why not have them now?

j/k, j/k... I wouldn't know. I've never been a person who was anxious to have children. I guess if I get married, and my spouse wants one or two kids, then I probably wouldn't have a problem with it. I'm just not planning what I'm going to name all of my kids and knitting baby booties at the moment. lol I'd say about 27 or 28 for me. That's just when I'd want to have kids if I decided to.

From a planning standpoint, it would seem the best time to have a kid is when you're healthy enough to bear it, and mature enough to give it the resources it needs to be healthy. I think for most the ideal would be between 30 - 35.

That's from a planning standpoint, though, and the Universe doesn't always allow you that accomodation.

I'd have to say...27 & up. Although most of my family members have ahd children pretty young....the old ways and everything. Being modern, I think I would wait. But I may be one of those that pearlized mentioned....that may NEVER be ready, LOL. Sometimes I'm fond of children, sometimes I'm not.

I wanted to since i was 20. but fertility being what it is I was 38 when i had my daughter. Anyway i sailed through the pregnancy. I think the perfect time is when your ready.
