Topic: tried synastry... all because of a man!

Hi and hello from the Philippines!! I am new to astrology and upon doing a bit of googling, i learned about this forum. I hope it is okay to post here=) My short story is this and i so hope any one here could give me advice (synastry related and stuff) as i am not gifted in this area: I have NEVER EVER felt this way about any guy before (in fact i only have had a handful of crushes and the like in my entire life and am not "man crazy" at all) and how i met him was when my brother became ill. But when my brother died our connection abrupted suddenly and i can't believe i miss his presence more than ever. There is something so different about him and i cant pinpoint it. he is NOT married and we seem to have an unspoken understanding. he likes me in a friendly manner but i dont know if it is more than that. he is shy and so am i!
His birthday is feb. 13, 1963
and my birthday is April 17, 1980. We are both from manila, philippines.I would really like to see if this relationship is worth pursuing!! Thanks a great deal! IP: Logged |

I just wanted to say WELCOME! And Im a beginner too in all this synastry stuff but also, Im from the Philippines too! I imagine you still live there...I havent been back there for 5 years now and I miss it!!

Election fever, actors and actresses running for office, and godknowswhatelse! Re synastry: Could you be more specific about your birth data? I mean, could you please try to approximate your times of birth? (Otherwise I'll just use solar houses.) I'll try to take a stab at it, I mean the synastry stuff. Aw. Thanks for the warm welcome! Nothing here has changed for the better and yes there is corruption everywhere! Entertainers running for office and the usual. It is so mainit and humid here its like being in a sauna. People are celebrating Chinese new year. I don't feel festive because i miss the guy. am i a sad case or what? No one knows that i feel this way because i dont show people im all mushy and all that. i have no idea about his birth time but i know he is a morning person- as if that will help. i was born 9:55 am. could ya help? much appreciated!IP: Logged |

I ve looked at synastry. In general, not ideal, but possible. Your main problem is communication: you are annoyed, how he speaks or don't speaks  ( Sun Square Mercury). Although it is nothing dramatical. You could be friends, but I am not sure, if he is your real soulmate. In any case, you will decide, if you stay together, and not astrology.

what is weird is that we actually do communicate well. Strange, huh? even if we don't speak we seem to have an unspoken understanding. like he can anticipate what it is i am going to do or say then acts on it without me telling him. in fact that is part of the attraction. i find him very thoughtful. Thing is when we both feel like something is going to happen between us, we both get really uncomfortable and shy away. it is frustrating. What is it about him? about me? astrology-wise that makes this happen? I feel so comfortable around him yet uncomfortable and i am sure he feels the same way. argh. we are just so shy when it comes to relationship stuff. IP: Logged |

Hi Chiselle! Looking at your chart and his, I noticed that your Venus in Gemini is sextile his Mars in Leo, so this presents an opportunity(sextile= luck + effort= opportunity) for the attraction to take place. That's why there's this palpable attraction between the two of you.
As for the feeling of slight discomfort: does this happen when you are trying to communicate with each other nonverbally? Your Mercury in Aries is squaring his Mercury in Capricorn, so this might cause some friction (Mercury= mindset, how we communicate)(here both in cardinal signs). It's like a detente between two world leaders: one more impulsive, the other more cautious.
Your Suns are basically harmonious, but your Moons may be telling a different story. Your Moon is in Taurus while his Moon is in Libra, both Venus-ruled and pleasure-loving of course, but of different orientations (Taurus more self-oriented and Libra more others-oriented). Emotionally, therefore (Moon= emotional nature), there might be a disconnect between you.

Hi kismetkaizen (hope you are fine) =) As for whole discomfort thing, it is the attraction! Can't stand being around him (in a good, fluttering kind of way) but i always feel positively energized when he is around. He does seem more observant of the small things i do that many don't notice but he tries not to make it obvious (which i find adorable). It is strange because we communicate well with each other. We are not talkative but when we do talk we use the same expressions and enjoy the same kind of humor. Even the slight facial expressions he can get my feelings. He doesnt even have to talk to me but when he looks at me i just understand him (even if he is not the emotive kind of person). I think before i speak and i know my natal chart speaks otherwise. There has got to be something about me, him, us. I wonder if he is feels the way i do deep down inside without having to pry or ask him. I am cautious and i dont want to scare him off! He isnt even your typical good looking guy but there is that SOMETHING that no one has and i dont have a clue as to what it is! As for the venus in gemini thing, i am a one man only kind of gal and i dont swing on trees for dates. Not at all like me. I do relate to the taurus moon bit though. So i have an aries sun but i do feel more earthy for some weird reason. What other connections could we work on? Anything that i could use to win his heart (aside from just being myself, hehe)? It's no wonder that although you are a fire sign, you feel more earthy. A partial explanation is that your Moon and Chiron are in Taurus, while your Jupiter and Saturn are in Virgo. On the other hand, your Sun, Mercury, Mars, North Node,and Neptune are in fire signs, so I'm sure you're one feisty lady, Chiselle, although with both feet on the ground and not that impulsive. Maybe, when I was talking about one being more impulsive and the other one being more cautious, maybe you are the cautious one, and he's the one being impulsive! Well, you can use your earthy qualities to appeal to his mind and heart, because his Mercury (mind) and Venus (heart) are in practical Capricorn, and his Uranus and Pluto (generational issues) are in Virgo. However, as Linda Goodman would say, we can't deny our Sun sign nature for long, so let your Aries Sun shine through! Appeal to his Aquarian intellect by being well-read and forward-looking. Since his serious Saturn is in Aquarius, too, you may have to supply the sense of humor for both of you just to lighten up the atmosphere a bit when it becomes too hot and heavy. He probably won't mind very much if you take the initiative now and then. His Mars in Leo is a bit of a show-off, too, so he could be dignified yet theatrical sometimes. And I never meant to imply at all that por que you have Venus in Gemini, you are flighty and have many partners. I'd say that your playful and variety-loving Venus in Gemini is in fact the perfect foil for his equally playful and fun-loving Mars in Leo. Venus and Mars are powerful planetary indicators of the give-and-take of physical attraction. Of course you and I know that physical attraction is not enough, but you have to start somewhere, right? My intuition is telling me that you don't have to do much of anything else to make him fall for you. He's already highly impressed by you.
