On the subject of travel...The 3rd rules short trips? and the 9th rules long trips....how would one figure what a "short" trip is, also, is 9th house only international journeys? If someone went from California to New york, would that be under 3rd house? or 9th house? If someone went from New york to Hawaii, would that be under 3rd house? or 9th house? am i making sense? hope so...thanks in advanceIP: Logged |

I think, the distance of the trip is not everything. For me short trip is a trip, which is not longer than 48 hours.IP: Logged |

Maybe it's important to look at the nature of the trip. For example, a 3rd house trip would be taken with the intention of doing something specific, like going to visit your grandmother. A trip where you're going to communicate or learn something specific. Whereas a 9th house trip would be considered more of a journey, like you said, with the simple purpose of travelling and expanding oneself. What do you think? IP: Logged |

The reason I think it's a good idea to look at them from that perspective is because of the signs that are assigned to the houses. As a Sagittarian (9th house ruler), I much prefer trips with no direct purpose.. I like to take trips FOR the trip.Dunno if you can relate to that at all. IP: Logged |
