It is a shame that our country has more than 500 million devout followers of the wrong kind of astrology. There are several circumstantial evidences for why Vedic astrology is a complete failure in the modern age (It may have been a winner in the old days where only the personal plantes were known)

1. Uranus, Neptune and Pluto are not considered.

2. Swami Paramhansa Yogananda spoke of Pluto's importance in a dream to Jeff Green.
Yogananda's soul obviously trusted an objective westerner to an arrogant Indian astrology pundit for the sake of delivering a truthful insight.

3. India's Republic Day has been chosen on an 8 number day and on an Aquarius Sign than an Aries/Sag/Leo winner sign. So much for knowledge of astrology!

4. Vedic Astrology has no room for the rich information we can derive from Asetroids.

5. Arabic Parts are neglected.

6. American Esotericists chose a winning date for US Declaration of Independence that even today helps America with the energy to win.

7. Ronald Reagan successfully used tropical astrology.

8. JP Morgan/Rockefeller used western tropical astrology from Evangeline Adams
to accumualte billions.

9. Prof Murli Manohar Joshi, an RSS Bigot who converted Indian Astrology as a university degree course failed to predict his own defeat in elections. His party of Hindu Nazis suffered a shock defeat. Their vedic astrologers thoroughly misled them.

10. Squares, Oppositions, Nodes are all considered curses etc. Fatalism rules Vedic Astrology. Western Tropical Astrology allows man to rise above karmic chains.

3. why do u think that the constitution makers might have ever consulted an astrologer before declaring 26th jan as republic day??? 15th august, india's independance day, falls under the sign of leo by western astrology. how dominating (in world politics) or dramatic is india because of this signs influence? its clearly not. neither is it a powerful state (inspite of the nukes) nor is it an attention gainer by any means. does this mean western astro is wrong?

to accumualte billions."... its possible in india too with indian astrology. but the degradation of the science because of the fact that it was only practised by brahmins which were too involved with stupid customs like untouchability and castism explains that in recent times it was never in the hands of intellectuals.

"9.. Their vedic astrologers thoroughly misled them." right! maybe he didnt knew the science in the correct manner or couldnt apply it correctly. he is most likely to be a brahmin. and brahmins, as i said, have completely destroyed this intellectual property to meet their own selfish ends.

NO YOU ARE WRONG!. again, the traditional follower (brahmins) have put forward this concept to make helpless souls get into pujas (worships with offerings like fruit, food grains and edible oil which they hapilly take home). i have met atleast 2 astrologers (who have studied astrology in schools in mumbai) who say all this doesnt help. only karma helps. if saturn is the problem help the poor and be disciplined. if sun is the problem, enjoy life more. if moon is the problem, develop humility and so on.
