My venus is at 20 degrees Leo so I have had it hovering around for 5-6 months. I also have had Neptune opposing Venus and I don’t have the experience to single out what effect Saturn itself has had but at a guess it’s affected my relationship.

We have been together for 5+ years and I would not be surprised if I was single this time next week.

The saddest part of this is my ambivalent attitude towards him, he is a good person with a good heart and he’s hanging in there in spite of my ‘could not give a toss’ attitude.

I have been doing a bit of a stocktake on this relationship and don’t think I get enough out of it to warrant still being in it if that makes any sense.

I'm going to be having this transit in August as well. We'll compare notes after we have some hind-sight. Mind you, you will feel this transit in it's approach as well as during and after. Conjunctions from outer planets tend to make themselves known before they become exact, and we're left cleaning up the aftermath for a while after it's over.

I think it will be about prioritizing for me. Getting finincially sorted for the long haul, making a long term commitment with my sweetie, taking life more seriously and having no patience or time for trifles..that sort of thing.

I will also have this conjunction in late August/September... Actually, Saturn will conjunct my Sun and Mercury at the same time.
Ye- haw! Add my Uranus opposition to that mix... it should be interesting... 7th/8th house cusp to boot!
I'm not in a relationship now...
just rolling with the punches.... embracing changes on the horizion and remembering to breathe....
It would be fun to compare notes once it passes!
Anybody else hitting 40 with this?

I am going through Saturn opp. Venus - the person I just cannot forget is out my life SAD (( I am blaming this transit, not only but.. And now it's another one: Neptune trine Venus - everything is beautiful. That's what it says about this transit on astro.com supposed to be good? I don't know..

yeah, i have saturn opposite venus (until july) and neptune conjunct my venus. talk about feeling incredibly, incredibly lonely and incredibly blessed with the thought that everything is beautiful. it's a bittersweet feeling.. very depressing.

When I had Saturn conjunct my Venus, I got romantically involved with a guy 8 years older than me, during his Saturn return.

Yeah, that eventually bombed out.

yes, I meant Neptune conj. Venus

we are going through the same transits and I can totally relate to what you're saying. The good thing is that we are already experiencing them so soon it will be over.

From Astro.com

about Neptune conjunct Venus transit if anyone is interested:

The beauty in everything ***
Valid during many months: This can be a fascinating time. It will stimulate the idealistic side of your nature in a most beautiful way, and you will see beauty in everything. For artistic and creative people this is one of the most powerful of all influences. Your imagination will be more active than ever before, presenting you with innumerable beautiful images to create from. Even if you are not especially artistic, this influence will bring poetry, music and art into your life.
Relationships can be very difficult if you do not keep a clear head. This is the romantic influence par excellence. You may fall madly in love with someone because he seems so perfect and ideal, although the truth may be quite different. This influence does not automatically mean a bad love relationship, and the object of your love may or may not be worthwhile. That is not the point. Even if your loved one is worthwhile from a clear-headed point of view, that is not what is attracting you. If you are lucky, when the fog lifts you will find you have picked someone who is quite good for you. But you may have difficulty accepting his faults, because you were so wrapped up in your ideal of perfection that you did not notice them before.

One other theme during this time is the illusion that your only need in a relationship is to make the other person happy. Sometimes people will carry this theme to the extent of seeking out someone who is truly a loser in order to "save" him or her. A relationship with a sick person, alcoholic or drug addict is a manifestation of this pattern. Be very careful to avoid this tendency; when the influence is over you may find that you have committed yourself to a very ungratifying situation.

Another situation may arise that is related in reverse, if you feel that you are the unworthy person who needs to be saved. In this case you would seek out someone who could "save" you, rather like falling in love with a guru figure. The problem with both of these manifestations of this influence is that you are not relating to the other person as an independent equal.

thanks for the interp, vintry! i still do feel lonely, but i spent a long weekend with my family before i moved back here to school. they helped me ease my mind a bit. it's hard to let love in instead of being afraid (lowly saturn conj venus transit). since then, i've had constant watery eyes, almost like i'm going to cry but i'm just too overwhelmed with how wonderful everything is. saturn is going to hit my venus direct one more time in july before it finally goes away.

i hope that you don't feel lonely much longer.
