The other day, my male friend who is an Ophiuchus, wouldn’t take a peanut when I offered him one. I’ve been wrecking my brain trying to figure out why.. Maybe it means he thinks I have germs. Maybe it means he preferred his chocolate to my peanuts. Maybe it means he's allergic to peanuts. Maybe he just doesn't like peanuts. Maybe he likes peanuts too much. Maybe he believes the peanuts have a soul and have just as much right as us to exist and not be eaten. Maybe he was married to the germs on the peanut in another life. Maybe he thinks the peanut spoke to him. Maybe that's why he stopped speaking to me. Maybe he's scared of peanuts. Peanut-phobia. Maybe the peanut attacked him when I wasn’t watching. Maybe I should get him special peanut repellent. Maybe Ophiuchus people have a natural distaste for peanuts. Maybe I should never speak to him again. He insulted my peanuts. Maybe the peanut was insulted also. Maybe I should slap him on behalf of the peanut. Maybe it’s a feisty peanut and wants to marry him. Maybe I should ask him to marry me on behalf of the peanut. Maybe he doesn’t want to marry peanuts in this life. Maybe.. errrrr.. ok I’m out of maybes.. anyone have other ideas as to why this horrible thing happened? He just doesn’t like me, does he? :edit: disclaimer - I didn't mean a word I just said lol :edit: IP: Logged |

Was it Monday?? Maybe he doesn't celebrate National Peanut Butter and Jelly Day.....CF, you think too much Reminds me of an email joke: Subject: Her side ~ His side Her Side of the Story: My husband was in an odd mood Saturday night. We planned to meet at a cafe for a drink. I spent the afternoon shopping with the girls and I thought it might have been my fault because I was a bit later than I promised, but he didn't say anything much about it. I don't remember doing anything to make him upset, but could tell there was something wrong. The conversation was quite slow going so I thought we should go off to some place intimate so we could talk more privately. We went to this restaurant and he was STILL acting a bit funny. I was getting really worried, what did I do? What was bothering him? Was he mad at me? I tried to cheer him up, but started to wonder what was bothering him. Was it me or something else? I asked him if he was upset with me, he said no. But I wasn't really sure. So anyway, in the car on the way back home, I said that I loved him deeply and he just put his arm around me. I didn't know what the heck that meant because, you know, he didn't say it back or anything. We finally got back home and I was wondering if he was going to leave me! So I tried to get him to talk but he just switched on the TV. Reluctantly, I said I was going to go to bed. Then after about 10 minutes, he joined me and to my surprise, we made love. But, he still seemed really distracted, so afterwards I wanted to confront him but didn't, so I just cried myself to sleep. I just don't know what to do anymore. I mean, I really think he's seeing someone else. His Side of the Story: Played badly today --- shot 87 --- can't putt for sh*t!. Felt kinda tired. Got laid though. IP: Logged |

Zala, lol that's so funny.. and true. I was being sarcastic btw with my first post Thanks for the story, that's exactly the sort of thing I wanted in this thread.. People stress too much and unnecessarily a lot of times. :edit: lol just saw the second post.. Hi Shirty, sorry people are taking this seriously.. I just meant it to be funny/sarcastic That's why I said "Ophiuchus" instead of a sign.. Ophiuchus is the constellation in Sagittarius that some astrologers say is a sign lol - thought I was making it more obvious that it's a jk IP: Logged |

You know, I looked up that word [Ophiuchus] when you said it, and I was thinking to myself, "She really believes in 13 signs?" That was a puzzler.IP: Logged |

SD, I don't know much about it.. just that some astrologers think the end of Sag is a 13th sign - Ophiuchus. You'll find more on other sites.lol Peri, yep should've added that one.. or maybe I did.. ya I think I did Acoustic, quote: You know, I looked up that word [Ophiuchus] when you said it, and I was thinking to myself, "She really believes in 13 signs?" That was a puzzler.
heehee I should've done this on April fool's day. I thought people would know I'm being sarcastic (soz for the confusion).. We get a lot of posts like that.. people worrying about the smallest things - so I thought in the spirit of fun - my way of saying: relax, breathe in, breathe out - he or she metaphorically just doesn't like peanuts, and it has nothing to do with you. I think you should've slapped him on behalf of the peanut. In fact, you have inspired me to do just that whenever someone turns down a food offering from me from this moment on.I really enjoyed reading your list of possible explanations. The slap and the maybe he likes them too much options were my faves. Zala - so funny! I think I might be a bit of a sadist b/c I laughed hardest at the part where she cried herself to sleep. CoralFrequency,Peanuts always ruin relationships It's happened to so many of us to have great sex and companionship in a relationship but then the peanut rejection just ruins everything... I guess it just means he's not the one. But you should still force him to accept the damn peanut, so here's what we're gonna do: I teach you some Mixed Martial Arts for a few months. Then you go up to him with your mouthpiece on, stare him down like you're gonna eat his children, start the fight, trade with him, then take him down, work some vicious ground and pound and when he looks done, submit him with an armbar. In that position, you will easily be able to force him to eat the peanut. Don't forget to insult his family up to the 7th great great grand-mother. And don't believe anyone who says this is being violent. They're all a bunch of Ophiuchus peanut rejectors anyway... IP: Logged |

hehe good idea Jane!lol Dulce, don't be embarrassed.. those of us with rejected peanuts also need love for the little peanut inside Shirty, I've done it before as well, but I always found out how silly I was being so I don't anymore lol Kamots, are you sure you're not an Aries? Na, don't worry that wasn't violent one bit. You seem like such a nice peaceful, calm.. serene fish. I read that and I suddenly though strangely, feel much calmer. You should run yoga classes instead. "Peanuts always ruin relationships" hehe you don't say. We need specialized counseling for this. IP: Logged |

Thank you CoralFrequency!! You felt calmer ??? Haha! Everyone feels calmer around me, but I never thought it would happen in a forum in which I'm talking about painful methods! You know I have tried Yoga before, but I couldn't stand it. I'm too much of a yang person! Must be the Aries influence in my chart (Sun conj Mars; Moon sextile Mars; Aries ASC). People ALWAYS view me as a very sensitive and gentle man, come to me when they need to feel comforted and talk about their problems, so they never believe my Mixed Martial Artist side until they see me train. Then, they're like: "how is this possible?? You are so sweet when you're not doing this!". (I would even have accepted your peanut, believe it or not) I then look like a 5 years old kid feeling guilty and say "I don't know... just enjoy giving goodnight ko's and twisting people's tendons" How about you, what's your sign? Hi Dulce Luna How are you? IP: Logged |

Thank you so much for the huuuuuugs It was well worth feeling like an ophiuchus after all :P Those cyberhugs actually came out handy cause I just got back from one of them training sessions and since I live alone, the only contact I've had in the last few hours were strikes to my legs and a nice punch in da face, which made me forget my gameplan You gotta give me some more of 'em hugs more often
