Last October, I started to change my attitudes. I also met someone who has helped in these transformations. (we are not in a relationship)

I have felt...especially in the last few months....that I need to "get all my ducks in a row" per se. I have taken on an extra job to pay off debts. And am thinking about going back to school/changing my field of work. Thinking of moving and planning for the future. I have lost 15-20lbs in the last 3 months. (which is almost a miracle in itself) I am 31 years old and know that this is what happens when you get to that age, however, I can't help but think it has something to do with the fact that Saturn is transiting my MC and about to enter my 10th house.

I have always "heard" that Saturn, the planet of limitations, does not bestow gifts like I feel I have been given in the last 6 months or so. I am wonding if you could correct what I have heard, but I always have had a negative view of Saturn.

Since my saturn return has come and gone, does that reference the fact that I may have ALREADY experienced the taskmaster saturn, and now am coming out the other side? That is actually more of what it feels like to me.

Anything else you see that could bring such transformation in my chart, please let me know. Also, most of this change is yet to come, I am only in the "planning" stages thus far.

thanks!

(i posted this on another forum as well....something about that makes me feel guilty but i don't know why!!!)

Actually, I have always felt that Saturn does, in fact, bestow these types of gifts. It is up to us to learn the lessons Saturn is teaching us, and then the benefits are given to us.

When I went through my Saturn Return, I eventually found a fantastic job that allows me to travel, and after years of being treated like crap by employers, I am appreciated... I lost 35 pounds without really trying...I got away from a horrible relationship.

BUT, Saturn also got me fired from 2 jobs, I was so lonely I cried every night, and I was on the edge of a nervous breakdown for a couple of years from the stress of it all.

I have come to view Saturn transits as a very good thing. I think there is some sort of transit going on for me right now, for I also have this NEED to "get my ducks in a row."

I am getting my financial life in order, I am attending to health issues I have been loathe to face before, and so on... lots of stuff.

Good for you, dividedsky- may Saturn smile benevolently on your goals!!

My Saturn Return was fabulous...still is, in a way. In certain surface ways I've had a really hard time (ending a fourteen-year relationship, ending up jobless and broke just now)...but in other, deeper ways it's been the best time of my life. It's not just difficulty--it's delightful, life-changing power.

I found myself again and decided to go for it with some pretty bold dreams that I'd all but given up on during my twenties (I was like, oh, poor me, I've FAILED, I'm not famous, I've lost my looks, etc etc)...and during my Saturn Return (in my 7th house, in Cancer, where my sun and venus live too) I gave up on that whole whingy sob story and I was like, I only get one life! And, it's spectacular right now! And, I'm going to start doing what I want, and if I'm too old or not perfect enough or not beautiful enough, well, I'm going to do it anyway!

I appreciated Saturn's tough energy. It's not that it puts you through hell...it's that, if you're not being true to yourself, it puts you through hell...if you're not living an honest, pure life where your choices are motivated by love and joy, Saturn will show all your "settling" up for what it is and make you miserable.

I had some moments that were very quiet and private, but for me, very very brave.

It's less like a punishment and more like a tough workout--you end up in better shape. Astrology really helped! I could say to myself, How can I use this moment?

(Edited to add: I, too, dropped a boatload of weight...I wonder if this happens to everyone?)

Ha hahah this is funny. When saturn went over my midheaven and also over my moon at the same time i went through the worst period ever. I was travelling at the time but i had my heart broken and my dads mum died and then i was stuck in the war in iraq and i was depressed. I hate saturn. And in my chart saturn aspects everything perfectly no bad aspects at all. I have saturn trine my moon sextile venus trine mars and sextile neptune. But when it went over my chart it hit me like a ton of bricks!

I've always said saturn can be good if you learn from it, and I have it at the end of my 12th, beginning of my 1st house. There are support groups on this placement!

Anyway, back to you. Your pluto is in the 11th house of friends hopes, and wishes. You said that someone is helping to transform you. Well, there ya go, it's right there in your natal chart.

Also, saturn can be good for whichever house its in. Your tsaturn is in the 10th and you are getting everything that house symbolizes in order; career and reputation.

Congratulations on your accomplishments (which saturn also can signify).

It wasn't Saturn. It was Jupiter in your 1st house.
