Hi everyone, I've been lurking in the shadows for a why and decided to join

I have what could be a very straightforward and simple question. I live in Australia (my state is Queensland) and I was born near the border of NSW.

Now here is my question. My state does not have daylight savings, yet the two states as well as every country on my date line more or less has it. So I was wondering when I calculate my charts if the time zone on my birth day (March 4) should be one hour ahead or not. I don't want to have done this for so long and realised I've been doing it the wrong way (I was going to search it but my browser doesn't like the search )

I am soooo sorry if this is a very straight forward question.... or my caffine-induced typing has confused you

Usually astro.com gets it right if you just enter the time as it is on your birth certificate.

Also, your birthday may be early enough the daylight savings time wouldn't even be part of the picture. Daylight savings time starts in Spring, and ends in fall. If I had more time I'd do some research for you, but I've gotta go to bed.

Thanks Linda

In my birth year Daylight Savings ended a few days after my birthday, so I really think it is safe to say I don't need to add the Eastern DLS hour
