3 or more planets would be perfect - especially personal planets!

The reason I ask is for my son - who has his sun, moon, mercury, mars and jupiter in Cancer! Phew!!! He also has an Aquarius as his ascendant and uranus and neptune in the 1st house (uh-oh!) He's a lovely wee boy - very calm and loving. I'm just wondering what he might he like as an adult, as all that water must be quite tricky for a grown man at times. I do worry about my little softie sometimes!!!

So, super-crabs - what are you lot like these days, and approximately how many hugs do you need daily?!

disciplining a cancerian might be tricky...if you come on too strong, he/she will withdraw and only act and they are listening...So keep harsh comments to a minimum because they are highly hypersensitive...But you already knew that. I think I get at least 10 hugs a day. Is that too much? Nuture your child, protect him, but don't let him be too much of a mama's boy...gradually teach him to be independent and be able to live life without mommy, though it might be hard...Don't pressure it, just let him know...As for right now he is very young so it is okay, but mommy won't be there forever for him and he should know later on. Hope that helped.

I´m probably the best example there is. I have Rising, Sun, Moon and Mercury in Cancer (sun and moon in the 12th). As a child I was very quiet and a saint, was never trouble, always obedient. I had a lot of fears and was extremely sensitive and shy.
As an adult I have less fears, but still have many. Sometimes I feel like I am shipwrecked in the middle of the ocean. So much water overwhelms me. But, even if we are very sensitive, cancers are very strong and persevere. It´s very important for us to feel secure: emotionally and materially. Most of the time we feel insecure.
We tend to daydream a lot, are romantics, very caring and very moody!!
I hope all this helps.

I don't need THAT many hugs daily. lol
Just remember you must have him around you a great deal of time.
Criticism, rejection and loneliness are a no no.
He'll probably become a super supportive and lovely dad, a little clingy but still..
He'll try and create a family similar to yours (you and his dad are his role models).
He'll be quite shy with the ladies but dedicated. He might be a bit non-confrontational and indecisive at times so he needs a strong but understanding woman.
I don't know his other placements/aspects so i am only making speculations here.

Does my signature count for enough Cancer energy lol! The Cancer in my chart most of the time does override the Libra in me. There are times when I need to be hugged at least once a day and shown comfort emotional wise. It seems to quench my loving nurturing side, without it I think I would become cold and harsh to deal with. When he gets older he will be a sensitive person, and people will hurt him easily without them realize that they did! He will probably have his moments where he gets moody and either needs to be alone or needs cuddle time with the person he loves...

I've got moon, Venus and Saturn in Cancer.

I tend to get weepy, and I like lots of attention.

On the upside, if I'm crying because I want a cookie, and you give me a cookie, I'm cheered up--it's that easy!

On the downside, the last time I cried because I wanted a cookie, I was thirty-two! ...Granted, I had a lot of other stresses going on...still, lots of cancer=a very sensitive person with lots of need for comfort.

Sun and Moon in Cancer, Mercury in Cancer.

Your guess is as good as mine, sorry but no help over here, I am so volatile, I take situations differently, I use a lot of intuition with desicions.

My mother was cold to me growing (never a hug or a I love you, only clean house, food on the table)
My father was very loving (lots of hugs and cuddling) , I have a stronger bond with my father ,I can talk to him about anything and his wisdom for life's issues are always heard.
My mom is heard too but I don't go to her for answers, but she gets into my life and pushes her beleifs on me! I just let her but do as I want (as I have always done, it p*sses her off hehe)I like being a rebel sometimes.

I do take care of my mother (like a job)

My ex bf a 38 year old "man" has Sun, Venus and Mars in close conj in Cancer in the 8th--

Due to his upbringing, in part, he has developed quite the shadow side of the above mentioned...

Raised in a devout Catholic military family, he was guilt-tripped to death, while moving every couple of years. He witnessed his mother at a very young age engaged in questionable activity while his father was out of town...His parents, with his father being high ranking in the military had lavish parties, lots of booz and lots of concerns with looking good for the peers...

What he has become is a control freak---lost in a psychadellic swirl of drugs and alcohol, trying to find his "roots" gardening his time away, planting more and more plants, projecting his lack of stability and love in his youth onto his way too crowded gardens...

And...he is a woman hater----he projected this onto me and still tries...He says he "loves" women, but true to Cancerian nature he has a love-hate idea of what he feels is love for a woman....His mother (a Cap sun and he a Cap moon) asserted her control on this sensitive child and tried to get him to confess to childhood doings by accusing him of---and he tried this with me...

He is over posessive, jealous, a sex freak, controlling and addictive...And it is such a shame because the very essence of the Cancer soul is So sensitive and So caring!!!

Take care with young Cancers---for the mulit-Cancer gone wrong is too good of thing to waste!!!

I have a s***load of Cancer in my chart! Sun, Merc and Mars in Cancer with sun and mars in he 1st house and mercury in the 2nd house. I also have a cancer ascendant.
Being a girl, I think it is easier for me to express my emotional side that it would be a for a Cancer boy with a lot of water in his chart. As you may know, we get extremely moody to the point wherein we (but not always this bad, I promise) seriously darken the atmosphere with our moods. At least I know from my personal experience, my extreme moods get very foul. We won't want to talk to anyone and just sit there. We know we're in a mood for no apparent reason, and we really hate it....I wish I wasn't so affected by my moods and I really will myself to get out of it which becomes worse. I really need to just chill out and let it pass, sleep it off or take a nap.

Hey! I'm sorry I'm so late getting back to you, everybody -thank you so much for all your thoughtful replies!!! I meant to reply sooner , but it's Mr Bull's birthday today (7th) and we've been out celebrating that all weekend! (any excuse to get drunk, eh?!)

My littlun is brilliant. I know EVERY mother says that about their child, but it's so very, very true here! He is currently being assessed for (mild) autism - aspereger-esq. But there is also a touch of the savant about him - at not quite 5, he has a reading age of about 8!!! It's funny - some days you can really see the autistic quirks in him, whereas other days you'd swear he wasn't....

He really is quite a remarkable little boy - clever, very kind hearted and soppy! I LOVE his hugs - I wouldn't give them up for the world so it's lucky for both of us that we're quite tactile! He's moody - which is confusing, but it's not hard to cajole him out of a blue spell. He also struggles socially, with shyness, stuttering and eye contact, etc. But there is something of the ham about him, so I'm thinking of enrolling him in some drama classes come September!

He's sooooooo watery it's untold, but that strong uranian streak has produced a force to be reckoned with. I really think this kid is going places. I have heard somewhere, that my Uranus in the 5th house tends to pop out genius kids - especially the firstborn!

Forgive my arrogance - I am just so very proud of my laddie! I can't thank you all enough for your feedback and advice - some sad stories, some more upbeat - my heart goes out to all of you. I will continue to give my little crab all the gentle encouragement he needs - I think he'll do just fine.....

PS) BTW - I love you crabbies to pieces - you really are such sweethearts. I've never met a kinder, more fun loving sign on their day!!!

Hmm Mars conj Mercury in Cancer, MC in Cancer, Lilith too here...both of which trine my Scorpio moon. Well lets see words CAN hurt me and always do and then I sulk and say mean things in the hopes that the person who hurt my feelings will know how I feel...its usually Arieses who say that (guys) and therefore it never sinks in, i proceed to sulk more and then get extremely angry and storm off...yea that would be all...yea mean words suck. But hugs can and do solve a lot of problems. A hug a day keeps the sulkiness away That would be all my evening wisdom lol.

Really? I think savants are awesome! Although I understand that it can be quite troubling for them to be able to do whatever they do. I saw something on one who could remember the exact events of a random day in 1987! That type of thing must give him a headache.

I'm glad you like us Crabbies! We love you bulls too! From my grandfather to my boyfriend's brother; you guys are the bestest!

Awwwww! Thanks so much Dulce - you're so lovely!!! (I wish I could reciprocate your cute smilie, but I don't have it, so I'll just have to give you the LL standard one, I'm afraid!) The thing I love most about you crabs is your sense of humour - and that wildly contagious laugh that you all seem to have!!!!! You guys rock my world! xxx

Re. the savant thang - it's his astounding memory that shocks me the most. I have a pretty good memory myself - my first memory was of time that my mother tells me that I couldn't have been more than 18 months old! (If that's even possible!)
About half a year ago though, my son and I were walking past our old flat - the place we lived at when I gave birth to him and for the first 2 and a bit years of his life, (we moved to our current place in Oct 2004). He looked straight up at our old window and said "Mummy, mummy - that's your old house!" I was completely stunned that he'd even remembered, but then he carried on and said "It has all the bangy doors there. And popcorn!" Well my jaw just about hit the ground!!!!! The doors in the hallway were REALLY LOUD - always banging and not long before we moved, I remember making popcorn in the microwave with him - he was a little past 2 years old at the time!!! I had to sit down on the wall in shock!!!!!

Since then he has regularly surprised me by coming out with stuff along those lines. I tell you - the cancer mixed with the aquarius in him is just absolutely magical!!!

Sorry for waffaling - once I get started on him I can't stop!!!

Oh sorry, cancerrg - I forgot to answer your earlier question about mine and his dad's placements.

Interestingly, his dad has his sun and moon in the same sign also - capricorn, the opposite of cancer! This must be a good thing though as they share a good relationship! His dad's rising sign is Aries. He also has cap merc, and his venus and mars in aquarius. Perhaps it's the aquarian energy in both their charts that helps them to connect?!

Funnily enough, I think that it may also be the aquarian energy in my chart that helps me and my little one connect also!!! I have a Taurus sun in the 11th house and my moon is Aquarius. I also have a singleton Uranus in Sag. My acsendant is Leo. Then again, I think taureans and cancerians tend to get on for the most part anyway, from what I know of!

To be most beneficial to our son, I guess I should tone down my bluntness and his dad could warm up a little. We should BOTH try not to be as impatient as we sometimes are! But we love our son and are responsible people - so fingers crossed, eh?!?!

Well, then perhaps I have a touch of savant! (just kidding) I have memories of being in a crib back in Mocambique! I also have a memory of when I was three and my father had his friends come over. If you know Mozambican guests, one will say that they are going to leave but continue to talk to you for the next two hours! So that was the case with one fo my father's friends. He said he was going to leave but continued to talk to my father for two hours. My sister, who is crawling and talking, goes and gets this man's shoes and says "Uncle, the door is over there!". LMAO, no one could stop laughing for days.

PMSL! Dulce that is so funny - your sis doesn't sound like a girl who beats around the bush!!! Whats it like to have that awesome cancerian memory?! Do you find that you remember specific things, like peoples phone numbers or birthdays? Or is it just EVERYTHING, lol?! Having a virgo moon as well, your memory must be imense!!! I have to say - I always try and pick cancerians to come with me to quiz nights, because of their massive general knowledge....

BTW - Mozambicans sound a lot like Irish people!

Yeah, history has always been my best subject (with science being the second best). Even my parents scratch their heads some, like "How did this happen?"
