Topic: Is this a Yod?

Hi  I think I've discovered a YOD in my birth chart- but I'm not sure!! because the apex planet- is Chiron (which is an asteroid¿?) Jupiter(XI) Quincunx Chiron (IV)
Saturn (IX) Quincunx Chiron
Jup sextil sat. So, should I consider this a Yod or not?? Maybe it's a stupid question, but I really have no clue  , so thxs in advanced !! IP: Logged |

But: what is the orb?? For me, I wouldn't allow more than 3 degrees for the sextile.....

hmmmmm I dunno bout that one. It technically is, but I think an asteroid isn't enough to carry it off. The real question is - do you feel the influence?IP: Logged |

PaidVacation,Actually I'm reading about the Yod's influence in a birth chart. I "discovered" this aspect in my chart while studying other aspects today!!!!!. I'm just an "astrologylover" , not a professional- I keep on reading, learning and trying to understand my birthchart. So if u ask me, if I feel the energy/influence of the Yod?- right now I cannot answer that question, I need to learn more about it in order to fully come to understand it. I've read in several pages that it has to do with destiny and making adjustments. It's a special point in a chart. And in my case it's making sense, since having this asteroid in my 4th house... I've always felt some kind of destiny/mission regarding my family. But again, I don't know. I'll just have to keep on searching and investigate a little bit more to answer whether I feel its influence or not.

I also have a Yod involving Chiron. And I still don’t know how that strong intense energy influences me and my life.
Pluto in Scorpio 4th house sextiles Neptune in Capricorn 5th house
Both Pluto and Neptune quincunx Chiron in Taurus 11th house
And Chiron opposes Mars in Scorpio 5th house (Boomerang).
If you find any information about Yods, please share with us.
I just know some basic explanations of it (such as finger of God).

There's a bunch of interp stuff in those links I put up above.....  My favorite Chiron books are "Chiron: Transforming Bridge Between the Inner and Outer Planets" by Barbara Hand Clow and "Chiron - Healing Body and Soul" by Martin Lass (see also: http://www.martinlass.com/chirpara.htm ). A goodly number of people your age will have this Yod since the three bodies involved move so slowly.....

I thought it was a rare configuration with Mars as an apex planet which makes that Yod a Boomerang. I am just still having difficulties on how I should interpret the message given by that Aspect Pattern. I remember you also have one Boomerang aspect in your natal chart if I am not wrong. Could you understand how it influences you and your life? By the way, thanks for the links, I will check them out surely.

Slayer-Hey! that's interesting  - well I think mine then it's a boomerang too . Because Uranus is opposing Chiron  I have been kinda busy with school, so I coudln't keep on looking info about the Yod. This weekend I'll dedicate some time to it. So if I find anything interesting, I'll sure post it here for you. Zala's links are great by the way.

can I piggyback this thread? Not knowing what a yod was exactly I went looking and for a visual example and then hit my chart. It seems I may have 2? first
Jupiter quincunx Saturn
Neptune quincunx Saturn
Neptune sextile Jupiter
second
Pluto quincunx Saturn
Neptune quincunx Saturn
Neptune sextile Pluto
So if those are yods can someone tell me what exactly that means for me? thanks and in the meantime I'll go see if I can find anything more.
